I recently lost my mind and created a second email account so that I have 1 for personal emails and one for all my online shopping! because my personal email box was spammed with to much junk and i found it to much work to keep tidy xD (oh yeah im a collector of " proof that i odered" ect lol but shops have a tendency to spam a lot with each sale so now, no more spam in my personal mail, only important things to go through

Thanks for another great video! EDIT: I also forgot to add this suggestion to someone who might be looking for it: Create a tab for CC'd and BCC'd emails. We all know those people we work with that will CC or even BCC people at random because they might have some sort of information when it actually doesn't apply at all. As long as you check the tab every once in a while, you will see your inbox actually clears up faster for sure!

Not exactly related, but this video got me thinking, do you have tips/tricks in gmail for deleting old emails which are no longer needed? It's hard finding which ones you no longer need. I don't want to keep increasing my storage space over time, so do you have any methods for this? Thanks BTW for your videos, I've implemented your email system and it's helped a LOT.
Hi there. Depending on what you need I see two possible scenarios. you can then easier-ish delete older ones. Maybe. 1) (auto) label email e.g. for each year from now on and look up older ones by search function. also use that to label them by context - e.g. work, travel, finances 2) use the archive function as usual - BUT add a "reference" label to those mails you *think* could turn out important later. sort out e.g. yearly or quarterly IDK about how users manage to max out their storage (15GB in my case as a free user, I'm at 15% including photos of my dogs and cats), so I think this could really help you. also unsubscribe from anything you really dont need. save attachments from emails and delete the mails do decrease inbox size. open another account and forward only needed attachments there - though IMO that wont really help with the clutter :D Good Luck and xoxo from Austria

Thank you for all of this helpful insight. I have multiple gmail accounts and have set up your gmail productivity inbox zero configurations. I’m a huge fan of gmail labels. My issue is that I have to set and manage all of these inboxes separately. Is there a way to incorporate this in an email client so I incorporate this inbox philosophy in aggregate, as opposed to separate gmail accounts? This will help me save a lot of time and I suspect many of your viewers have the same issue. 😊
@@JeffSu One setting that might be worth mentioning is "Custom keyboard shortcuts" under Advanced. I'm used to deleting my emails rather than archiving, and my keyboard is UK layout where the "#" (default shortcut for Delete) requires Option+3. I used custom shortcuts to reverse the Archive and Delete shortcuts to suit my keyboard layout. PS: I've already started using most of your tips.

I think you need an add-on. Just googled it and it seems like you can use this one: Label Manager for Gmail

What happened to the Gmail Inbox Zero tutorial?
Great question - Long story short Gmail went through a major upgrade this year so the previous workflow is now outdated. 😅
Since Gmail will never stop evolving (which is a good thing) and to make sure you're getting the absolute most out of your email, I host live workshops for my Workspace Academy students where we'll dive into the freshest inbox management strategies together.

There was a part for your follow up that you cc an email and it would mark it as the follow up do you have another video that shows how to set that up again?

Do you have a document or something you can send me for the item you set up you had it that you could cc an email and it would add the tag for you for follow but I just don’t know the email set up that you had what that email was

@JeffSu i was looking for your Inbox zero video for gmail. I cant seem to find it on your channel anymore. It was a really good video my friends and I used it to get to inbox zero. Lot of people told me the link to the video doesn't work anymore. if you can please re upload it.
