My mindset for using online tools is based on: Don't be held hostage to apps, systems and platforms! Understand your workflow and use the most appropriate tool, as needed. Avoid comparisons and enjoy the best in each one!
100% agree with you there!
"My mindset for using online tools is based on: Don't be held hostage to apps, systems and platforms! "
Completely.
For a few months I have been trying different tools for task management and in the end I am left with a personalized spreadsheet. In my case with Google Workspace but it could be Excel or any other.
Love the content, Jeff. Both productivity and humour hits home with me! Thanks!
I would love to use Eesel better, it’s been my 2022 productivity hack but probably lack the structure you’d give to it. Are you using it?
Thanks Adrià! I haven't heard of Eesel until you mentioned it, Googling it now haha
that last quote seems really true!
Glad you agree!
"Colleagues are willing to help is the job is made easy for them"
Well, not for my team... I literally coded Excel macros with easy prompts to fill in and made a tutorial to use it, and they just ask me to use the file alone and never use it themselves... Btw : macros for the automation ftw! You can code a complex one for one week and then make a 3-hour-long task shrink into a 3-minute-long one
Man I'm sorry to hear that Zarakaï 😅, it seems like you're a colleague I would LOVE to work with though lol!
Here's something I'm embarrassed to admit: I used to use Macros alot and now...I have completely forgotten how to use even the simplest ones
Great shortcuts, thanks for sharing them
Which was your favorite?
Great Vid Jeff as usual! Any chance we can get access to those templates? 😁😁😁😁 Pwetty Pweazzzze!?
The budget template is already shared 😁
Very useful tips. Thank you for sharing
No problem 😁
How did you get Google to allow you to use their work materials and also film inside the office?
Those are all my personal documents Matias 😁
@@JeffSu but the first scene is inside of google, correct? Otherwise you tricked me!
Love this, as always!❤🙌
Thank you Aveeraj! Hope some of the concepts are applicable for you right now!
@@JeffSu Yes, definately!
Basically, you're teaching us how to save time for read One Piece while being payed... if isn't that the best way to read manga, I don't know what is hahaha
New subscriber :)
Hahahaha a fellow OP fan I see, welcome 😁😁
Thanks again for this video Jeff 🤩 !
It’s cool to see you in a different place
You are pushing the limit of acting 😏 ahah
See you🤘
Preparing for my future career in acting 😁
Great video, could be interesting to focus on "templates" in general as a way to save time at work.
Thanks so much Sylvain! Sorry could you expand on what you mean by "focus on templates in general"? I feel like I'm missing something 😅
@@JeffSu I guess you touched upon it already in some of your videos (eg: note-taking Google doc / Event management Google sheet). Also saw your Linkedin post a few days ago. It would be cool to have a "Top 10 template to make your work life easier": note-taking, canned emails, marketing campaign outcomes & learnings, roadmap, decision making" ... Sharp, beautiful, versatile templates are such a timesaver and a way to demonstrate exemplary professionalism (In my opinion). Thanks anyway for the great videos!
@@sylvainbihan960 That's a great idea! Thanks for letting me know Sylvain!
So well done. Using all of these tips
Glad to hear it Dave! 😁
This video came at the perfect time!!!😀😀
Must be fate! 😁
Hey jeff! I'm a windows user, can you do some apps for windows? Maybe?
If I ever build another PC 🥲. I sold my last one to buy a Mac....
Microsoft Outlook has tremendous options to make life easier.
@@MrOudies Can you give me a specific example? This might be what I need to get a PC again 😂
@@JeffSu few things I do to make my life easier, I use 2 conditional formatting. One for clients and one for my senior management folks emails. I go to auto correct and make some quick shorcuts for certain repetitive sentences. For very standard replies like reminder mails, I use autofill options. There are more to it
@@MrOudies Ah got it, thanks for sharing and giving me something to think about!
