awsome video and nice build. I have a question. Do you need ever unplug the batteries? I have heard it is bad for the esc to keep them connected all time.
Another question, could you please provide a wiring diagram for the esc? Because I don't know how you bypass the discharge feature. And what power supply did you use?
No. I leave the ESC permanently connected as I'd have to take the cover out to unplug it. Hasn't been a problem for the few months I'm using it. For the wiring ESC is connected directly to the terminals of the battery. Negative terminal of the battery is also connected to B- on BMS. The positive lead of the battery is connected directly to positive pin on power jack and negative pin of the power goes to the C- / CH- of BMS. That's it. P- pin on BMS is not used. The power supply is 25.2V 2A since I have 6 cell battery. You can actaully see that at 7:35 .
ok, then maybe I will look at that option for mine, with that same bms, as it seems to work for you. How long does it take to charge? I don't remember right now your capacity and range, I'll have to lwatch the video again :P
Thanks a lot
np :) I have no idea how long it charges for as I always leave it charging overnight but you can always get adapter with higher amperage for faster charging.
Gyro how much did it cost to make it all
Around 580€
Awesome board! Looks like a smaller battery would have made things a lot easier for you. The remote is awesome, you should sell those :P
you are fucking awesome man!!!
Best wooden enclosure I’ve seen
Love the low profile 👍🏽👍🏽
+2dthoughts thanks 😊
which kind of code do you have for both of your arduino's? and how did you connect the bms with your battery? it is a very awesome result totally one of the best!!
Thank you :) .Since I'm not the best at programming I just took the example code for the transceivers and modified that so it's the value of the joystick. I have actually explained the BMS wiring in previous. I'm sure you can find it there aren't many.
Can u give me the motor, esc and battery details? Or any link to buy them?
The is link in the description for the details
awosome
You should get abec 11 83mm wheels those wheels are super hard
Srsly my favorite build I have seen ...
dammmn your board looks so nice !!!
Gnarly twist to a nice board! Great build.
you are awsome!!!!!!!!
So far the best DIY board I've seen out there. Not because of speed or whatever, just the work you put into it is very cool. Love the smaller form factor.
+KandriX's Channel thanks. Appreciate that
Nice job. Does your esc give you dynamic braking (recharging the battery) and does it slow you enough when going down a steep hill ?
it doesn't recharge battery but it breaks great. I have been going down some hills without problem. it make a loud whistling sound when not braking fully but it works.
really awesome work, i want to make one just like yours.¿where did you bought your motor?
(sorry for my english, im from argentina)
+Camilo Gentile thanks :). The motor is from Enertion boards. I don't think the sell them anymore
Can you share the codes for the transmitter and recever?
X-car has rating of only 2-3s lipo, you used 6s is it working fine?
I got one rated for 6s. This one hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbykingr-tm-x-car-beast-series-esc-1-8-scale-120a.html
How did you made remote? Can you make brief video on it it would seriously help a lot of people
I might do it once I'm done with the current project.
so where did you get your motor mount and motor cuz enertion has not sold parts for a long time.
+justin21002002 I got the parts last year when they were still available. It just took me a long time to build : D
I can use a brushless motor 2826/6. 2200kv ?
+harold andres orduz valencia You need motor under 300kV. Preferably under 200kV
No this inside connections and the parts used
Привет дай скетч скачать если не трудно.
What the hell!? That looks so professional
How much was this build
About 600€ if I remember correctly
Do you have to move the back wheel, and not the front??
+Athar Axel I'm not sure. I think front wheel would work too, I have just never seen one like that. I'm sure there is a reason why back wheel is powered
how to know those battery fully charged ??
Well the adapter had LED that turns green when done charging and the remote shows battery level as well.
Hi man! Great video and great board ! I am bulting one too! I have a few question if you don't mind! What charging port do you use ? And its looks like you have a 6S bms, did you take a 24v power supply ?
Thanks a lot!
Thanks. The power supply is 25.4V and the connector is standard DC jack. I believe it's 5.5x2.1mm
Thanks for your response,
Do you thinks that a 6S bms (2 x 3s in series) can be charge with 24v ?
Thanks a lot!
not sure. The BMS I'm using specified 25.4V so that's what I'm using.
Thanks a lot for you response man, i appreciate.
If i can bother you a bit more, Do you have a diagram of your BMS circuit ?
I haved built my one electric longboard but i can't charge it... Where did you buy your stuff (charger, charging port and BMS)? I don't understand what i'm doing wrong...
Your help could saved my project...
Thanks a lot
Sure. The BMS was from hobbyking hobbyking.com/en_us/6s-li-ion-10a-pcm.html and the power adapter was from China. Alliexpess I think. The charging port I got from a local electronics store. The BMS was connected like a regular BMS. You can just google that. The only difference was that I didn't connect my ESC to the discharge pin but directly to the battery instead. This forum post shows exactly how I have it connected www.electric-skateboard.builders/t/help-with-6s2p-with-bms-wiring-only-for-charging/15761I know in the post he is asking if the connection is correct and I can confirm that it works for me.
Yo how much
I think it cost me around 600€
what longboard did u use?
Just look for alien workshop cruiser and you'll find it.
How did you made remote?
It's 3D printed. You can get the model at thingiverse. www.thingiverse.com/thing:2406398
awesome vid..where can i find the bms.?thanks
Thanks dude. The BMS is from hobbyking: hobbyking.com/en_us/6s-li-ion-10a-pcm.html
thanks heaps🙏have u got a diagram for making the remote.?thanks
Well since it Arduino nano I connected the buttons simply to digital pins the potentiometer of joystick to analog pin. The oled screen works with IC2 so I connected that to IC2 bus and for the wireless receiver I just followed this tutorial: howtomechatronics.com/tutorials/arduino/arduino-wireless-communication-nrf24l01-tutorial/
Gyro have you experienced any problems with the bms? Like not balancing correctly etc.
I was measuring it couple of times. Always perfectly balanced :)
Where are you from? Nice build
Thanks. I think you know where I'm from if you're asking ;)
Well, I've seen people comment on your videos in Slovak language.. are you from Slovakia by any chance? :D
99% you are, though. Takže prečo nie rovno po slovensky :D
+Martin Hudoba to respect others :)
I love it!!!!
+Jen Barnes thanks :)
