I have the SFX 93.25 inch as my daily carry. 15+1. I liken this gun to driving a really nice Lexus. It’s not exciting but it has a luxurious feel and runs perfectly. I think I have had one failure to feed in over 5000 rounds. When I first got it, it had some quirks. It’s not a 1911 or a 2011. It’s sort of lives in its own space. The trigger had an unusual feel to me, and the pronounced back strap altered the position of how I had to hold the pistol. I thought the trigger was too heavy so I had a trigger job taking it down to 2 1/2 pounds. It took me a few hundred rounds to get used to it but 6now it’s my favorite. It is really designed incredibly well for concealed carry. Every corner is rounded. Incredibly comfortable on the body. My only complaint, and it’s just a little nitpicky, is I carry in a leather holster and the thumb safety can occasionally become disengaged. It’s never caused a problem. I have a staccato CS and a nighthawk counselor and this is by far my favorite. If you have this pistol, there is no reason to get a staccato CS. This pistol is better.

I have one WC 1911. It took me a long time to put together the money for it. I cannot imagine carrying it. Beautiful weapon. Guys in C8 Vette’s will love driving knowing their EDC is bespoke. Good review though. I watched it twice.
This is one of my all time favorite pistols. Such a great hand feel and shoots smooth and soft. I need an Optic Ready one to replace my non optic ready model. 🔥🔥
I was hoping to be able to do the nighthawk optic system on this pistola. But they told me they can on anything with an external extractor. Now if Wilson starts doing the RMSc footprint on these, I may go that route.
Lots of people can afford a $3500 EDC. I say if you got it - buy the WC. I’m really glad people make and buy these guns - even if I’m not going to buy them. These guns have to make the guns I do buy better and better. I’ll keep my Springfield Hellcat RDP with the shield red dot, compensator with a 15 round magazine and SL-7 sub light and iwb holster for $1200 delivered. It needs a better trigger for $150 but shoots fine and flat as is. It is just not as fast as it could be. I don’t think I spent $3500 total for this pistol and my AR-15 and AR - 10 battle rifles (less light and optics for the rifles) all together. We live in the golden age for guns. I ‘m so glad there are great guns that suit my purpose as well as the fabulous guns for the more well off who can and will spend their money as they see fit - just as I do.
I have large hands as well Chris and I have the exact same problem you have on this trigger. I am trying to order the larger back strap but it’s never in stock so Wilson really needs to make more of those. All in all though, once you get used to the trigger it shoots lights out all day long! Great content as always. Thanks Chris!
I know "worth" is subjective and i want one of the SFX9 but worried about spending the money and not being totally blown away and feeling let down for the amount of $$$ spent. What are you thoughts on the gun since you actually own it, versus other guns you've carried or own? Thanks!
@@SinCityVillain For me, it is a great balance of form meets function. It is probably the most fun handgun I’ve shot; I love 1911s and own a couple others. I also love the compactness of something like the Springfield Hellcat and how it almost disappears on you. To me, the SFX9 3.25 combines both into one package. It is a blast to shoot and incredibly accurate, far more than I am. Yet it’s very easy to carry and conceal. The next closest pistol to compare it to would either be a Staccato P that I’ve shot or the Springfield Prodigy which I own and also enjoy. Is the SFX9 twice as good as those? No. But maybe 20ish% better, and more importantly, very easy to carry and shoot. There’s obviously a bit of bias; its not a cheap gun. However, I have had zero buyer’s remorse with this gun and would recommend it wholeheartedly. As an aside, mine is the 10 round version, but I carry with the 15 round magazine.
@@SinCityVillain I edc the 3.25”/10rd SFX9. I guarantee you will not regret spending the money on one. Just start keeping an eye out on Gun Broker. I got mine virtually brand new with extra mags, two different lights, and several different holsters for $2,100.
@@benjaminlinnabary3679 Hey, thanks for such a kind and timely reply. I'm glad you understood my question asking if it's "worth it" over other guns. Of course a g19 is cheaper and essentially does the same thing, reliable etc BUT i was so worried i'd spend the 4k and then go.. huh, it's cool and all but not worth 4k. A kia will get me from a to b same as a lambo but is a lambo 200k more worth it, if you get my meaning. Thanks again!
I got a Sig P250 well used from a guy at work pretty cheap. Put in a Wilson Combat P320 Compact frame that I nodded. Did trigger work to get the DA pull down to about 7lbs. Did the gun in FDE with a TLR-7A in FDE and blacked out the rear with a Big Dot front sight. Turned the barrel in the lathe to re-crown the barrel to take out some drop damage.
If i ever hit the lottery ill be getting this. I just wouldnt spend that kind of money off of hard work money. I wouldnt even carry this its so expensive. But i do like watching to see a awesome pistol. Great video.
I want to like Wilson combats. I love their content sure. I know they are quality guns, of course. The problem is when I go to shoot a single stack USPSA match my Magnum Research 1911 (made by bul armory) seems to stack up to Wilsons and Colts at less than a third of the price. Ive even had single stack competitors ask me where my "custom 1911" was made. Hard for my to justify the price for something that doesnt really seem to match up.
I have had 🚾 and others-the only 1911 that stayed in my collection are 1/3 of the price also. Dan Wesson primarily the ECO 9 (although single stack has shot tons better for my personal) each to their own. WC we’re good but not worth 3K in IMO
Hmmm...nah, I think I'll stick with my 1911. Granted it's heavy and bulky, but I've found that with the baggy clothes I usually wear, it can be concealed well enough. And I never feel outgunned with the Big Iron on my hip. 😊
@@jimmyfrazier3761 Such a dumb reply. So if a $10,000 pistol comes out you're just gonna blindly go run and buy it because obviously cost = reliability? There are $300 polymer 9mms out there that will consistently and reliably run through any ammo you feed them and will keep asking for more. Those are the EDC pieces you want, because not only are they reliable and low maintenance, god forbid if you have to use them, it won't suck when they end up sitting in an evidence locker for an untold amount of time. Not to mention you won't care if they get all scuffed up from carry use. You keep on thinking lighting nearly $4k on fire to stuff a 1911 in your shorts was a good decision, though.

Very nice video & very nice pistol I love the safety features on the pistol. Unfortunately it’s a little out of my price paying ability at present time. I guess I will just stick with my Glocks & Smith & Wesson.
i've got an sfx9 3.25 with the 15 round grip length. i love the gun. it just doesn't handle like a subcompact gun. being able to get a full grip on the thing is spectacular. i just wish they'd make it in a steel frame. i personally don't mind the extra weight, and with an optic the sight radius doesn't matter at all.
I got rid of my glocks and that low trigger pull disappeared. I have a Wilson cqb. Best 45 I own. My x5 legion is the best shooting 9mm over all of them. My carry is a $ 450.00 bought new about 15 years ago- FNP 9MM.
kimber's new entry into this market is exciting. looks a bit cooler imo and properly priced. i sold all my wilson combats cause they are just WAY over priced for what they are.
@honestoutlaw I'm surprised you haven't yet done the Alpha Foxtrot 1911 s-15. The only 2011 I am tempted by so far. a 3.5inch 2011, thinner than a traditional 1911, and takes Glock 43x/48 mags $1300-$1600. I am hoping they eventually make it in 4' or 4.25". Any plans?
Put on the large grip backstrap and your low drop shots might just go away. I have the EDC X9 with a 4.25 inch barrel and it came with the "std" backstrap. Changing to the "Large backstrap dialed it in perfectly for me. I think they actually only have two sizes - Std and Large. Love my Wilson Combat...
I myself would only buy the 4 inch. If I need something smaller I’d get the 43x or the 365 XL , spending money like that , I’d want at least the 4” as Bill Wilson him self stated …. Thanks
Bill said the 4 inch was the best balanced and all around version. However he himself carries the 3.25 inch version. So In my opinion you can't go wrong either way. 😁 When I suddenly come into money I will have both.
This is a question of battle of arms. I shoot 1911/2011’s all the time and I want my carry-on to feel the same. Switching from a high-quality 1911 trigger to a striker trigger when it counts can create problems at the wrong time with accuracy. The 365 XL is definitely smaller and would be more useful with a more deep conceal.
Hello, I love your reviews. I just bought this guy about 1 month ago. However, living in NY and in compliance with our 90day authorization laws, I have not picked it up. I plan to use this as my every day carry and would love know more about it in your opinion. Thanks Chris.
I live in NY also…. What 90 laws are you speaking of? Acquiring a pistol license in general or an amendment through your county? I live in NY and its a super! Unconstitutional state but not sure about the 90 day aspect.
If you want a comparable double stack 1911 / 2011 for $2000 less than the WC EDC X9 SC, you should try the BUL Armory SAS II UL 3.25. Or, for $400 more, you can get the comped model. Would you ever consider reviewing either of those guns? Because I'd love to see a comparison between the EDC X9 SC and the BUL UL 3.25.

Wilson combats slogan should be "Copying other's homework to upcharge to fudds" Wilson combat: 1911s are the best handguns ever designed. Also Wilson combat: dropping the slide on an open chamber, or a hand fed round, dry firing, and must use high quality brass with FMJs or the gun will break.
It'd be nice if I could afford to carry a gun like this but it would make no sense to do so. If you have to use it's going bye bye anyway. The most I'm willing to part with on a carry gun is probably around a grand after it's been customized to my liking. But she's beautiful for sure. Thanks for the review.
I quit waiting on Glock to come out on a 26x and I doubt that ZEV would also; I prefer a solid grip instead of Mag extensions. A EDC gun needs to be accessed quickly and securely; this is why a shorter barrel and a longer grip helps. I hope to purchase a sfx 3.25 after I hit the lottery

Your video from a year ago convinced me I had to have one
That ejection pattern is awesome!
Lots of people can afford a $3500 EDC. I say if you got it - buy the WC. I’m really glad people make and buy these guns - even if I’m not going to buy them. These guns have to make the guns I do buy better and better. I’ll keep my Springfield
Hellcat RDP with the shield red dot, compensator with a 15 round magazine and SL-7 sub light and iwb holster for $1200 delivered.
Dang. Killing me with another 1911 review. That's a sweet piece, but I ain't forking out 3400
At that price, if you appendix carry it should massage your junk too. ;-)
@@stephenschroeder6567it does…🤷♂️
Bul Armory
Dude I love this thing
I have large hands as well Chris and I have the exact same problem you have on this trigger. I am trying to order the larger back strap but it’s never in stock so Wilson really needs to make more of those. All in all though, once you get used to the trigger it shoots lights out all day long! Great content as always. Thanks Chris!
A full review would be awesome!
I still carry a CZ P-01 Omega with a Cajun Gun Works trigger.... old faithful...
Full review? Always! Let’s see if the little guy is still humming after a 1000 rds!
Very nice piece. Love the grip.
Excited for this! I have the SFX9 3.25 version and I love it.
I have the SFX9 it's great .
Incredible voice over work. A
Lookahead limiter plugin for the gunshot audio will smooth out the low frequency thump.
Full review please. Great video as usual bro!
I wish I could afford one but I spent all my money on all the other guns you review
If i ever hit the lottery ill be getting this. I just wouldnt spend that kind of money off of hard work money. I wouldnt even carry this its so expensive. But i do like watching to see a awesome pistol. Great video.
Would like to see a comparison of the Sft, sfx, and edc.
Thanks, I have the 4” and was considering buying a 3.25”.
I the EDC X9s and love it. Wilson makes great weapons
Yep! Love to see more!
Finally, a real subcompact weapon!
Great review Chris nice gun that I can’t afford but I live vicariously through you yep buddy
Yes Please to a Full Review!!!!
WC we’re good but not worth 3K in
IMO
Exactly. You hit a point of diminishing returns for your money WELL before you hit the $3k mark when it comes to these types of guns.
Hmmm...nah, I think I'll stick with my 1911. Granted it's heavy and bulky, but I've found that with the baggy clothes I usually wear, it can be concealed well enough. And I never feel outgunned with the Big Iron on my hip. 😊
I carry RIA 1911 in a lefty IWB hybrid holster in small of my back. Love It! Never had a malfunction in 2400 rounds …Never
@pcpolice7937 I have a tisas replica m1911a1. So far I love it.
Tell us more about your 42 oz gun that carries 8 rounds
Full review of this and the Stacatto CS!
I carry the SFX9 everyday most reliable pistol I have!!
Over 3k it better be...
@@Garywhitetrumphobgobbler What's your life worth? 🤷🏻♂️
@@stevem4783 you carry what makes you happy I'll carry what makes me happy maybe it's just that you can't afford such a nice piece no sense hating on someone who can some of us just aren't striker fire people!! I've worked my ass off to enjoy what I want!!!!
@@jimmyfrazier3761 Think I struck a nerve. Logic doesn't make sense to guys who blow $3.5k for no reason, I guess.
By the way, I can buy 10 of these right now in cash if I wanted. Luckily for me, I know they're not worth it.
Very nice video & very nice pistol I love the safety features on the pistol. Unfortunately it’s a little out of my price paying ability at present time. I guess I will just stick with my Glocks & Smith & Wesson.
Why come no other companies have jumped on this smart wagon?? This thing is beautiful.
i've got an sfx9 3.25 with the 15 round grip length. i love the gun. it just doesn't handle like a subcompact gun. being able to get a full grip on the thing is spectacular. i just wish they'd make it in a steel frame. i personally don't mind the extra weight, and with an optic the sight radius doesn't matter at all.
Edit: All
2011's are a downgrade in reliability compared to a p365.
@@davewebster5120outside of the 226 sigs are basura garbage
@@gordo3697 I'll respectfully disagree. I love my Sigs.
If you need a $3,400 dollar gun to shoot better. Then your thr problem not the gun!
Walther and CZ are much higher quality than Sig. The qc over the past 5 years has really declined.
I got rid of my glocks and that low trigger pull disappeared. I have a Wilson cqb. Best 45 I own. My x5 legion is the best shooting 9mm over all of them. My carry is a $ 450.00 bought new about 15 years ago- FNP 9MM.
3 1/4” barrel + 75 yards = hits. Impossible! :)
Ya a bullet going 1100 feet per second couldn’t possibly hit a target 225 feet away Deff impossible
Love a full review
Thanks, Chris and Mrs. Outlaw~
Sweet pistol but way out of my price range 😢😂 I’m here in Arkansas not too far from Wilson combat and they make great products. Great video as always
A full review with 1000 shots would be very nice.
kimber's new entry into this market is exciting. looks a bit cooler imo and properly priced. i sold all my wilson combats cause they are just WAY over priced for what they are.
Any plans?
Hands down best gun reviewer despite the fact that he's ginger
Put on the large grip backstrap and your low drop shots might just go away. I have the EDC X9 with a 4.25 inch barrel and it came with the "std" backstrap. Changing to the "Large backstrap dialed it in perfectly for me. I think they actually only have two sizes - Std and Large. Love my Wilson Combat...
Been contemplating getting one of these or the SFX version
Would really like to see you review the FN Reflex soon!
I just bought one. I like it better than the Staccato CS.
Love your beard its sharp. Ever try to get some beard products sponsorship?
I myself would only buy the 4 inch. If I need something smaller I’d get the 43x or the 365 XL , spending money like that , I’d want at least the 4” as Bill Wilson him self stated …. Thanks
Bill said the 4 inch was the best balanced and all around version. However he himself carries the 3.25 inch version. So In my opinion you can't go wrong either way. 😁 When I suddenly come into money I will have both.
@@CrazyLegz72bill can just pick one up off the shelf. Im only gonna to get to buy one. 😂. Im going 4 plus
I love that setup! I wanted one until I heard the price. I guess my C2’s will have to do for now. 😬
You can often find the SFX9 for around $2300.
@@Equalme thanks, I’ll check it out.
Nice. Thanks
So this is a BUL ARMORY knock off.. Which is a BAD-ASS GUN! Awesome!
I have the EDCX9 in 4" and the SFX9 in 3.25" both are worth the $. I shoot better with the EDC. I think it's the grip that makes the difference.
That is a mean looking little pistol right there.
My head is spinning from all the guns. I’m about to buy my first gun and will be for personal protection. What is a good gun for guys with big hands? One on a beginner budget 😅
Great review! I always come to your channel to check out if you have a video on something I am planning on possibly picking up. Will you be doing the new Kimber KDS9c? Have a solid day! :)
Im that guy with wilson combat tastes and a Springfield prodigy wallet size. So I end up with neither. Ive not heard anyone have a pleasant experience with their prodigy so here i am waiting for a reliable and reasonably priced 2011.
Wilson combats slogan should be "Copying other's homework to upcharge to fudds"
Wilson combat: 1911s are the best handguns ever designed.
G26 is perfect with strike industries +2 base plate IMHO.
!! awesome shooting.. and vid editing.
Great video bud.
I would love one of these, but I'm retired and paying a shit load of medical bills and no hope of ever owning one. Hopefully in a couple years I can afford a Bul Ultralight if I don't die first lol. Still I would like to see a 1000 round review.
That gun & the larger version is a mainstay on Chicago PD
I would love to see a fold review of this gun to make sure it is worth the money that they are asking for it
There are two of these in the used bin at my scheels all of a sudden. They look really badass, but don't feel quite as good to me as a Staccato
I'd like to see a full review of the EDC X9 3.25".
Great video Chris could you please do a review on the EAA Girsan 2311 please
The EDC X9 rocks.
What are your thoughts on the BUL Armory SAS II UL that comes in about $1200 cheaper? But at $1500 that's still a chunk of change.
He has already done a review of it.
@@alandeniston9229 That was the Tac Lite not the UL.
I had the edc x9, but did not fit my hand. My thumb knuckle was darn near under the hammer and hurt every time I shoot it. Unfortunately for the money, no smaller grip modules are available....
If they ever make a striker fire with a 1911 style trigger. That would be a game changer
