@@auerdesignhockenheim2227 Interested in seeing how you tap into the wiring harness to power the rear heated seats. And frankly, for the fronts like you did in this video. I'm looking into retrofitting rear heated seat pads and the OE wiring from an Audi A6 for rear heated seats in my mk4 Jetta, but I am waiting for warmer weather to perform the work.
I brought seats. Used 2000 GTI. from the Pick-n-Pull ,,those are GTI seats...!! regular Mark 4 GLS or GL,, heating element is on the bottom pad ,,great video nonetheless, could have been better without music but good nonetheless. You did leave out wiring, electrical connections, circuit protection issues... personally for me,, I was only looking back at this .as to see if I could catch a glimpse of how to wire these GTI seats into regular mark4 2002 ..the connectors do not match GTI ../ standard mark4Gls GL thank you for the video
Just ordered this kit to install in my grand am for a nice project. I see you installed in a year go is it still all working good still just curious thanks for the vid.
Hello great job! I have a question please, i bought an mk4 Bora with 2 airbags (without side ones) , it should be airbag cable under seats? , because i don't see them. Thank you
I really should have included that. When I take apart my Golf again I'm gonna make a video on that! Do you also have a mk4? And do you have a multimeter by any chance?
What switches did you use? I want to make this mod in Seat Leon 1, but without the factory original switches, because that would mean no cup holder for me
good job ... please, don't you have the original numbers from the seat covers and foam? I have the same seats and I would like to see if things can be found for it.
@@auerdesignhockenheim2227 I'm driving a Golf mk4 myself and I really like your phone mount idea! Do you have a picture of it without a phone mounted by any chance?
i did this about 4 years ago on my 1.6 SR, man what a task it was
This looks great, however, i would love it if you guys put the instruction for the wiring of the seats.
Yes i know. I might get heated seats in the back and then i can show how to wire it up. The wiring was there before because I changed the seats.

You made it look quick and easy and I hate you for it...
Damn... Those freaking springs...
And the cables for the seat are short...
Fantastic job

Wow, great video!
Nice man, where can I find the wiring diagram?
nice video
My current heated seat works just fine, but the fabric has seen better days-could I use your technique to just swop the fabric from a not heated seat?
Normally the heating mat is sewn to the seat cover. So that could be a lot of work.
@@auerdesignhockenheim2227 but if not that should work right?
I guess. Let me know if it worked!

Yes it is still working fine! :)
@@auerdesignhockenheim2227 Awsome
Next; ventilation retrofit seats :)
I thought about that too! :D
@@auerdesignhockenheim2227 do it, it will be hot video, and no one done it on golf :D
Yeah, it would be fantastic
Good Job!! Excuse me, where did you buy the system to heat your seats?
It´s a universal kit I bought on ebay for ~40€

I guess there are no cables then :)
Anyway it is still a good idea to disconnet the battery. You never know...
@@auerdesignhockenheim2227 okey good idea, thank you for your reply ))
Can you place the heated pads under a seat cover instead of the actual seat?
I guess you could. Depends on the thickness of the seat cover. The pads can get really hot.
Can you just show us how its going with wire all over to the switch to the baterry cuz i dont now how to dot, Thanks for Video ❤️

I used the universal switch that came with the set (7:35).

Well I got the seats from a scrapyard! ^^
Wow, you dont have a work bench to take the seat apart?
Well, the seat was easier to maneuver on the floor :)
Wire everything up at night?
Cause you will run out of time... 😅
i checked the link for eBay but it says it doesn't work with my golf. I have golf mk4 1.6 16v 2001? any help?
I don't see why it would not work since these are universal.
Are you still able to use the 5 step seat heater switch?
I tried to use the oem part but it didn't work
Top 👍
Where do you get this kit
I'd look on ebay or alibaba for them :)
Whats the deal with the phone mount?
I converted the blank switches to a mount.
@@auerdesignhockenheim2227 cool, that’s a good use of them 👌

Does anyone knows the song?
If you can tell me the time in the video I can help you out. I used a few soundtracks from the you tube creator library. 😊

Vertigo - Bertysolo :)
Thank you!
Where does it get the electric from?
I basically "stole" the ignition plus and steady plus from the radio. You get mass from one of the mass points on the body.
Why do people feel compelled to add iritating music to their videos?
Turn it off then.
