I never was able to see Genesis with Peter Gabriel but I did see The Musical Box perform The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. After they did The Lamia, I turned to my friend and said, "I can die now".
When it comes to Genesis, Italians always have a lot more than their fair share of the comments. A reflection of how popular they are in Italy. Amazing rendition of a mesmerizing song. Phenomenal job guys!

I'd be curious as to what imagery those in the audience who have never heard The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway would see in their mind's eye. Of course it's different for everyone, but naturally I can't help but hear the lyrics as the piece is played. On the other hand, it shows how strong and wonderful the music is all on it's own.

The "forte" was actually there with Genesis too. Consider Phil's drums e.g. - how to make up for that with a couple of Steinways? - Playing forte, I guess. I am very impressed and *very moved* by these artists here.

Ci eravamo quasi dimenticati dei Genesis, specie dei Genesis fino a The Lamb. E' invece probabile, spero possibile, che proprio grazie a questo progetto tanti giovani anche dell'attuale e delle future generazioni possano conoscere i Genesis, anche se, mi rendo conto, l'emozione che può suscitare questa musica in coloro che conoscono a memoria ogni singola nota e ogni parola dei loro brani è ben altra, indescrivibilmente più intensa. Dico questo poiché le emozioni rivivono più fulgide nella memoria e si amplificano nel ricordo di quello che siamo stati in passato. An amazing piece in all respects but how amazingly it shines when isolated from the rest of the album and played so perfectly.
