    If you get yourself a small plastic or rubber mallet it comes in handy when making scope adjustments tap slightly on the turret and that should immediately seat the turret , because most scopes will stick. The reason why it seems like the adjustment lags is because the vibration from the shot actually seats the turret. A little trick a gun smith showed me . Thanks for the video I also have a whitetail pro and I love mine too had it for 3 years now and still holding up strong!

    Thank you for the review. I had to resight mine to fit me because we all have different movements. I'm hitting within 1.5 inches at 50 yards. I absolutely love mine cant wait to take it out in December. I'll comment again when I give it a run 😊

    Hi I've got a EK Archery Accelerator 370 with a 185lb drow and I've had it now for over two years and I've had no problems or issues with it the only thing that lets it down was the scope that came with it so i got rid of that and stuck on it a ATN X sight LTV night vision scope so now i can take it out at night and use it with my lighted nock's and it's just amazing bit of kit

    I'm new to the crossbow world and i didn't understand what did your dad say about tightening your crossbow. Its at 2:25 to 2:50. What do you have to tight up?

    • @Abel-bodied-outdoors
      @Abel-bodied-outdoors  4 роки тому +2

      When you buy the crossbow all the bolts and screw are prone to loosening after the 1st 50 shots or so. Its recommended to continuously tighten all hardware after each use until the bow has fully settled. Hope this helps.

    Hey just a recommendation here if you shoot the interlock Carnage Broadhead 100 grain or if you shoot the shapeshifter Broadhead in a hundred grain and these are mechanical broadheads by the way or if you shoot a chisel tip 3 bladed Grim Reaper in a hundred grain you can sight in your field tip put one of those broadheads on and it will hit the same spot I just thought I would let you know I am 52 years old and I have tried a lot of broadheads I wish somebody would have told me this

      Dad bumped his wheight to 125g in the grimreapers because he had a slight drift in the tail end seemed to straighten out and hose broadheads are devastating.

    Amazing video! Thanks! I ordered one of these yesterday and was just doing some research when I found this video. One thing you didn’t talk about was bolts, the ones he was shooting did not look like what comes with the Crossbow. Where can I find some thing like what he has for bolts?

  • @wildwildwests
    @wildwildwests 2 роки тому

    Why!! OMFG! Just can't get saftey off. It's off.. completely in red, bolt in all the way and won't shoot. Can pull trigger 20 times and nothing. Saftey on off in off... eventually then it will fire. Missed an elk tonight because I couldn't even get it to fire. Any idea what is going on? Bolt goes in all the way, not in dry fire position...cocked up all the way...just at a lost. Live Archery but thinking I have to just stick with rifle.

      There is a compression safety on these. It sounds like yours is malfunctioning. You may want to contact Barnett directly about this.

  • @darricklambert7818

    Do you think that would shoot through a 300 plus wild hog

    • @Abel-bodied-outdoors
      @Abel-bodied-outdoors  5 років тому +4

      I'm not 100% sure I do know it will shoot through the front shoulders of a 150lb whitetail so I'd say on a well placed shot you would most likely end up with a through and through on a large hog.

      I will say I've always been a fan of traditional broadheads. My buddy just hit a good buck this morning with a Rage broadhead that has me reconsidering. The entrance v's exit was dramatic and tacking it was a breeze for him.

    Nice review but the whole reason for me was to see how to cock the Hunter2 which I missed or out of the picture...thx anyway!

    • @Abel-bodied-outdoors
      @Abel-bodied-outdoors  4 роки тому +1

      Sorry for not I cluding that in the video it's fairly easy. You will receive a cocking rope with the crossbow. The two hooks attach to the string and the center section of the cocking rope rest on a ledge near the cheek rest then you pull almost like a pulley system.

      @@Abel-bodied-outdoors Ok, sounds good. I chose the Hunter 2 over the Centerpoint Sniper...1) for looks and 2) I think the Hunter scope is better. What's your thoughts on the Centerpoint Sniper?

    • @Abel-bodied-outdoors
      @Abel-bodied-outdoors  4 роки тому

      @@wdwilson397 honestly I have no right to speak too much about it I picked it up back when dad was getting the Barnett it was heavier and seemed to be more cumbersome and that was enough for me but as far as performance I dont know enough to review it.

    I think for a $400+ bow, you're better off with the excalibur 340. for $599.99. its the last bow he'll ever have to purchase bc he could change the strings and there's no cables to get in the way. plus with the recurve design, he could always maintain the bow on his own. it also already comes with string stops and silencers. they're more durable and can't be beat as far as price, accuracy, durability and maintenance. You would spend about $199-$249 for the cables and strings and you won't have to wax it every 5 shots like Barnetts. I think compound are trash. Excalibur is known for their durability and their reliability.

      We only paid 280 for the Barnett so for the price it's good enough hadn't had too many issues nothing mechanical just the scope really but i got him a higher dollar aim point that will last the life of the bow.
