I reached platinum right after watching this video. I was stuck at 1570 elo but then after watching this I removed any feeling towards the game and focused on each game separately. Then, after no longer complaining and playing as focused as possible with deep breaths when possible, I reached 1682 elo and plat. Fair play to the advice, reminded me to not give in to negative feelings towards the game.
There are a lot of video tutorials about improving but not this detailed and clear. The explaining is spot-on. You and Stingray have defenitly the best guides out there. Also dropping some topics that you might be interested in covering 🙂: how to improve (and/or tips for) the off-stage game, general gamesense of when to hold stage control and when to extend and how to improve at 2v2s correctly

I m a guns main and i alternate between barazza(lvl 99) and reno(lvl 69). Its usually for the secondary weapon and the only reason i come back to barazza is this mindset that with barazza i survive against lance. Do you think reno and barazza play the same
Great vid, a good topic of discussion that links with the "excuses" is the concept of Meta characters/weapons and how you see this community raising pitchforks because gauntlets have an extra frame of stun. There have definitely been periods where a weapon is dominant, sometimes too dominant, but we still see low/mid tier weapons and characters appear in top 8 (infrequently but my point still stands) at the big NA/EU/SA tournies for both 1s and 2s. Meta in brawlhalla only exists at the tippity top of high level play. If I can be absolutely dominated by a 2200 Queen Nai main, any character can be decent and even good. As you say, its all mental.

I reached diamond 2 weeks ago and for me this guys are trash but really, but you said it if they are trash and you are in that elo you are trash as well, but you need to shut the fuck up and concentrate in the game and say in your mind "I CAN WIN" and thats were everything comes easy. Thank you man keep doing this great content you are so underrated
Only 5 minutes in and I feel like you just narrated my experience with this game, the quick climb to gold, the plateau at low plat high gold, then losing the motivation to play ranked as I got tilted at my opponents and started to have less fun in the game, switching to playing experimental because I was just "playing for fun" even though I initially went into it wanting to improve and then finally the months long breaks when I finally gave up. I've come back after one of those breaks and I want to break the cycle this time if I truly hated this game I wouldn't come back, so clearly deep down I still want to improve.
