Definitely Tears of the Kingdom. It is such a good game, and while the others are very good as well, totk just holds special place in my heart and it is a game that I think no other can beat in terms of scale. Maybe.

@@Goosewitdajuice317 It's not a bubble lmao. It's definitely not the best story in the series but to say it's hated unanimously is a bull faced lie 😂 these same people were the ones praising the story when it first came out and for some time after that.
Totk is incredible, I want it win. I think the reason the hype went down so quickly in my opinion is that it feels like a game you can only experience once. For me, that first playthrough was so magical and enormously fun, as it was shrouded with more mystery, more land to cover, new changes, new dungeons, and an amazing ending. But when I went back to it, I couldn’t get that same amazing feeling as I did the first time. It’s the same for botw, but I feel like with totk because it’s using the same assets, we’re already so familiar with the world and mechanics so there aren’t as many things to discover for years and years like botw. So it really comes down to that first experience for people and how impactful it was. It still has my vote, I love the game to death, but I do think it’s a game to experience for yourself once as you really create your own personal adventure.
Realistically, the fight will be mostly between Tears of the Kingdom and Baulder's Gate 3
I have a bias for Alan Wake 2, but I feel like it didn't have as big if a reach and it's a relatively more niche type of game.
Either way I'd be content with Zelda winning despite its flaws, mainly the lackluster story. Spider-Man 2 is solid, but I feel like it downgraded in some aspects compared to the original on PS4, specifically the lack of suit abilities. Overall fun game, soaring around the city is extremely fun, and it actually feels lived-in. The story is itself decent and the visuals are great. You can tell they're really trying to better use the power of PS5's hardware. 8/10 I have high hopes for S-M3
Wonder is amazing, but it's not really on the same level as TotK and BG3

If it wins best Action Adventure it still counts as an award. Also the chances for best game direction are better then Goty itself.
loving all the uploads man, totk was way bigger and better than a lot of people thought possible so I have no doubt in it being the winner this year. Although I haven't played all the nominees I still think totk takes the win

i think Hogwarts Legacy should have got a nomination, it’s crazy to me that it didn’t get nominated for any category. it’s the game i’ve enjoyed the most this year and i would have voted for it in any category it was in

My vote def tears of the kingdom. It fixed all the minor flaws I had with Botw and is my current fav game of all time. I hope it wins, I haven’t played all the other games, and some may think it hasn’t given its own identity to win, but I think Zelda is such an amazing cultural event for gaming and the innovations to what was already considered one of the best games of all time, and for that I hope they win

ToTK is one of the best games ever created. It should win. But ppl love Baldur's Gate 3 a lot too. So it's difficult to say.

Definitely voting for tears of the kingdom. After playing it for awhile and currently playing it now it doesn't feel like breath of the wild to me. Not many sequels are better than the original and TOTK smashes breath of the wild and kudos to Nintendo for pulling it off!!
I wouldn’t say it was better than botw It definitely did not fix everything and it’s definitely not a masterpiece. In my opinion it has a lot of problems.

I enjoyed Mario wonder a lot more than totk. Totk was just botw 2 that’s it and improved some things but not everything and it has its own problems and I don’t think the games are masterpiece honestly feel like they should’ve fused these games together because they’re very similar to each other not saying the games DLC but I’m just saying they’re extremely similar to each other I was just very disappointed with the game hype died down pretty quickly

Yesterday Balders Gate was in the lead but I’d definitely vote for TotK. Actually, of all the games that are nominated I’ve only played TotK but the main battle with Ganondorf was so EPIC that if I’d played any of the others I’d still vote for TotK.
That's literally not how that works. If you prefer Zelda, that's fine, but you can't judge something you haven't played.

i have played all of these games except for spiderman but i cant say for sure alan wake 2 will win, it is so well done graphics are incredible and the gameplay had me for real scared even more than resident evil 4 which is very very good but i dont think it beats alan wake in terms of immersion and design, baldur gate can def win too i just think that theres also a very high % of ppl who dont like turn based combat like myself.

I think it was because of bg3 fans of it started attacking totk as it was the biggest competitor and now it seems that totk is rubbish even though it is probably a top 3 of the history
I loved totk so much but bg3 was ridiculously amazing and definitely has my vote (which i did not see coming)
I hope its Tears of the Kingdom. It managed to innovate the Zelda series by giving more freedom and creation to players. You not only can build literally anythig you want but can also own an customize a house as well. That and the return of more traditional esq dungeons and a better story. Its a no brainer why I believe Tears of the Kingdom deserves to win GOTY. The whole rito quest was one of my favourites in the entire game! :)

If I actually thought the best playing game would win that crappy award show then of course Zelda TotK would win. Unfortunately, everyone seems to be choosing BG3 which I would be fine with if it was actually the best game but even the advocates for it can't seem to come up with a gameplay related reason why it should win. Everything I hear is it broke expectations and created new fans of the niche CRPG genre, Larien is a smaller studio against the big bad behemoth Nintendo, or some other nonsense. Call me old fashioned but shouldn't the "game of the year" be the best playing game of the year. Nothing else should matter.

a massive massive zelda fan here, totk being one of my favorite games ever made. personally i think balders gate 3 deserves goty this year as it’s near perfect (so is totk) and has one of the greatest development story’s in all of gaming as well as some of the best and quickest community support that’s ever been seen.
I honestly think BG3 deserves the GOTY title, however TOTK will win, because it's so much more popular. Surprised I didn't see any Lies of P or Hogwarts Legacy...

Tears of the Kingdom is in a class by itself. It doesn't even have to win and it's arguably like the greatest game of all time. Think of all the things you can do in the game and how it's implemented more than the BotW comparison and you'll understand it's superior to many games out there.

Awards given shouldn't be based on sales. TOTK sold more than any other game nominated, but most people are still expecting BG3 to win.

Unfortunately I think it's going to go to Allen wake 2 or baldurs gate 3. As much as totk built upon the franchise and improved almost every single aspect of things taken from botw, baldurs gate and Allen wake redefined the gaming industry genres they serve.
Totk is a 10/10 game, but bg3 and Allen wake 2 are 11/10 games. It's no fault to totk, it's just that bg3 and Allen wake are even better games.
Well I think it is TOTK's fault and I don't think it improved upon BOTW that much like the new exploration aspect is already gone cuz it's the same world and depths and sky islands do not help at all , and the story just sucks , but the gameplay that is genre defining and that according to me is the only aspect improved from BOTW
The thing about LOS TOTK is they topped BOTW which was GOTY 2017. They were already competing with a masterpiece

I think that totk will revolve even more the open world than botw did bg3 us actually just mixing rpg which i don't think as innovation and alan is re2 but with a perfect narrative. To sum up totk🔝

This game is just phenomenal and will have a huge impact on the gaming industry.
But I agree with the other nominations except for RE4 remake. Excellent game but there were sooo many good brand new games this year.

In my opinion just for the creativity it should win.
Baldurs Gate 3 is a good game, don't get me wrong, but it often feels like just a good RPG game.
Totk while playing similiar, the fuse and ultrahand abilities just created something completly new.
The fact that Tears of the Kingdom was nominated is incredible but it's unlikely to win, considering that it's up against very strong competition. It would be cool if Tears won but odds are it will be either Alan Wake 2, Spider-Man 2 or Baulder's Gate.
I don't think Alan wake 2 will win since it's not the most popular one here imo, and sm2 does have a chance but with bg3 and totk here on the list it probably won't win goty. I want totk to win but everyone is saying bg3 so it's unlikely but who knows maybe it migjt be another elden ring situation

I really love zelda, but totk do not deserve the goty at all, it is too similar to botw, same koroks, 90% of the enemies are the same, almost empty depths, the new skills are not enough to be branded like a new game, the ultra hand was cool and all but it was not a big thing like breath of the wild was, the CORE of the game it still the same, it is not muuuuuuch different like ocarina and majoras mask for exemple.
Its similar until you realise about the dungeons the mechanics the 2 new maps all the changes the caves...

Sorry but Baldurs Gate 3 is 100% going to win this year's Game Awards. They did the impossible and worked incredibly hard like if you would could take the time and understand what the game went through in the course of development from back then towards release you will appreciate what they did.
