  • This is really cool..and hilarious. The BBC's Tommy Vance interviews Ian Gillan and Jon Lord back in 1987 as Deep Purple release the album 'House of Blue Light' in early 1987. Today we celebrate the album hitting the charts 30 years on!

I remember buying this album on cassette; I was traveling a lot on business and listened to it on a pocket sized Walkman with earbuds. Walking through the snow between hotel and work in Amsterdam - it *really* grew on me and is still one of my favourite Purple albums.

I bought this album when it got released. 1 of my favorite deep purple albums.
I seen them in Pittsburgh 1985 and 1987. Deep Purple is my favorite band since the 70s.

An underrated gem. Only a couple of dud songs. This album gets a bad rap with the critics for some reason. I hear it was a stressful period within the band, but to me the album somehow blossomed despite the tribulation.

great album definitely! Iron Maiden's Final Frontier from 2010 always reminds me of Bad Attitude...

Still have the original vinyl (bit scratched now) and also a cd release from the early 90s (not the botched remaster). Overall I don't think it's as memorable as Perfect Strangers but it's certainly not a terrible album.

A great album, much better than PS, an over rated album if ever there was one! Nice to see others here enjoying it also! Great songs, Gillan in fine from & Blackmore hot as ever! I prefer TBRO than PS also! PS was hyped to the max & didn't live up to the over the top media sensationalism! Great tour though! Had the pleasure to be at the Sydney George Harrison gig! Hooray!
