What do you think of Omni Part 2?
It’s incredible.
@@HammersOverStrikers I think I still prefer Part 1 overall but I love listening to the whole double album as one
@@dft9000 Nice. Yeah. Its definitely part 2 for me. Part 1 melted my face but had like zero melodies. I need some “roll” with my rock haha.
As a lifetime fan of this band I love both parts. The first time I listened to Part 1 it was so heavy my ears were ringing. And I like the Digital EP more than the Brutality EP just because it sounds cooler.
@@danwonder7776 the effects used makes for a more dynamic listen for sure. I'm a meat head though so Brutality edges it out just a little bit for me.
Going back out for Round Two of mowing this afternoon and THIS album will be my next first-time listen ...
You'll mow that thing in 5 minutes flat listening to this album
Great review. As a fan since the beginning the, P86 conversation has always involved a DBL comparison, Omni changes this conversation Completely! I’ve always felt they were at their best when their lyrics were dark, vague stories, and their music was heavy Omni delivers! I also love the Omni 1 supergroup of Norma Jean meets P86…but for part 2 to be even heavier..I didn’t see that one coming at all!
Thanks! As cool as it is that some guys from NJ are involved I think this is the record that Andrew always wanted to make.
@@dft9000 I completely agree with you.
Me: *plays Taser 5.0*
Friend: “Who is that?”
Me: “Project 86”
Friend: “……no it’s not”
Lol
Taser 5.0 is great.
I haven’t listened to project 86 (other than seeing them at furnace fest) since Songs to Burn Your Bridges By. I’ll have to give this one a listen during this mornings workout.
You'll find yourself running twice as fast listening to this.
...And the Rest Will Follow, Wait for the Siren, and the Omni releases are all very solid albums released after STBYBB. Picket Fence Cartel and Sheep Among Wolves were kinda mid, and Rival Factions just kinda sucked; you could skip that one
I'm here for it!
Im here for you!
He's been reading a teleprompter for 23 years!
Lol what?
I'm an old school P86 fan and if I'm being honest I don't really care for the OMNI stuff. It's just not my type of music. I've also noticed that I'm not the only old school fan disappointed by it. But you know what that's ok, there is tons of old P86 stuff for me to enjoy 😀
Yeah they switched to a genre that just happened to be really compatible with me. DBL was what really got me into heavier stuff. So OMNI was full circle for me in that sense.
Yeah as far as dystopian concept albums go I still think Truthless Heroes is much better
Love the clips added into the video, makes the experience that much better!
I've gotta check this album out! Thanks for selling me on this and sharing!
Thanks man! Im always trying to make the clips relevent and interesting.
*Boiling the Ocean
I was wondering how long it.would be before anyone caught that. I didn't even know it was wrong till I was listening on Spotify the other day ha ha.
Great bonus! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for checking it out!
We need to just give these albums a new genre: Cyberpunk
Cyber Metal is more accurate but there's definitely a little punk in there
Nice breakdown, been a long time listener of Project 86, hooked since Rival Factions. I enjoy their older sound more but something about their new albums got me coming back and it's grown on me since release. Love the way they do these story albums like with Truthless Heroes, suits Schwab to a T. One thing I'll say is they nailed the sound with the aesthetic, it's perfect.
Absolutely. They killed it. The visuals on the videos are stellar.
Great job Dan!!!
Thank you so much!
While I like their old stuff... drawing black lines... white picket... etc, but Omni is my favorite stuff. It's more like the birth of a new band than a continuation of P86. That said I want more Omni
Yeah it looks like he's already rebranded the band to P86: Omni and everything will be OMNI focused in the future.
And yet again, you have inspired me to check out an album (EP) and I totally love it.
You'd probably love Part 1 as well
