I did something similar but used a block of wood cut at a 20 degree angle. I used spray mount adhesive to attach the sand paper and used 150, 220, 320, 400, and 600 grits. I used an exact knife handle to hold the blade creating a "T" shape. I then laid it on my desk and slid it the way you did. I like that you used MDF block, but I think Melamine coated board might be harder and flatter. My block was only 3 incher long yours looked to be 8 inches "better". Thanks for posting the video I may make a bigger block like yours.
Thank you Rick for your comment and your advices. I really appreciate that! I like the idea of the exact knife handle to hold the blade in a T shape tool.
@gianluca666 I have some Chinese knockoffs as well. The problem with them is that the tip is a shovel shape. I'm not sure what to do with them. They detach with a screw.
I should see one of them but I would unscrew the blades and work on them one by one. even if they are quite small I think you can handle and sharpen them when detached form the ferrule. send me picture if you like: gianluca666@gmail.com

you mean that they do not have a tip? they are flat?
@@gianluca666 Yes they are flat blades that curve to a point.
