[#76] Bavarian mole and vole traps unboxing and review
Unboxing, review and dry test of the Luna Bavarian mole traps made in Germany
www.deufa.de/en/produkte/bavarian-wire-trap-luna.html
Bavarian-style wire trap for capturing moles and voles - the first trap in DEUFA’s history.
Wire trap with wire adjusting ring for quickly and effectively catching voles.
Steel wire with large cross-section for high and lasting impact with multiple use.
Copper coating provides corrosion protection for long-term outdoor use.
Wire adjusting ring made of galvanized steel wire with coil for securing the bait.
Voles are rarely found alone and they dig tunnels several kilometers long. Locate the tunnels from the mounds of earth and remove these. Then open the tunnels down to a depth of around 20-30 cm. Check the openings after around 24 hours. If the tunnel is closed up again, it’s an inhabited tunnel. Open the tunnels again and position baited and set traps in all inhabited tunnels. Use several traps to make sure you capture the voles.
Voles are drawn to vegetables (carrots, potatoes, celery, etc.).
You better wear gloves when setting and positioning the trap - voles have a very sensitive sense of smell and might be warned off by the human scent. Wearing gloves also prevents injuries when setting the trap!

    You already know that Man Kung also makes bows and crossbows for major brands like Tenpoint and Barnett. I also have 2 crossbows like the Man Kung Xb56 Frost Wolf and a Horizone. It makes no difference which is better, both hit the center of the target at 70 meters. A friend of mine has a Raven and even there there is no difference in hit rate that justifies the $1200+ price difference

      no, non li vendo. ne ho fatto uno per me e lo uso. farlo non è difficile, quello che è difficile è trovare un pezzo di alluminio ben spianato da cui partire. se guardi il video vedrai che è piuttosto semplice in fondo. metti i sottotitoli in italiano e dovrebbe essere perfettamente comprensibile. per le misure ti consiglio due pezzi di alluminio 300x60x25mm. più le barre sono lunghe più pallini puoi fare per ogni colata di piombo.

    Ottima idea, peccato per le cerniere che potrebbero danneggiare le punte (poco male, comunque). Ora ne devi inventare uno per le punte da caccia a lame fisse 😁!!

    • @gianluca666
      @gianluca666 8 місяців тому

      mah, guarda, in realtà le cerniere sono abbastanza fuori dall'area in cui si concentrano i tiri, non ho mai avuto danni alle punte. un'accortezza che conviene avere è quella di togliere i bottoni di metallo dai jeans che metti nel trolley... quelli potrebbero effettivamente danneggiare le punte ma ci vuole un attimo a tagliare via il pezzo di jeans. e per le punte da caccia con le lame credo che l'unica sia il PVC morbido.

    • @nicolaalberti7736
      @nicolaalberti7736 8 місяців тому

      @@gianluca666 Sì, io uso questo metodo da molto anni, al posto del trolley uso sacchi di juta o nylon, ma il contenuto è lo stesso. Compro da Rivolta Archery gli stracci industriali compressi sotto vuoto, perché non hanno né cerniere nè bottoni, mi costano un po' di più che usare vecchi vestiti ma tribolo un po' meno nella preparazione del bersaglio. Per le punte da caccia si può usare una "montagnetta" di sabbia, se non deve essere spostata. Io, a volte, ho usato scatoloni di cartone, sempre riempiti di stracci, lasciati aperti nella parte superiore, in modo da poter "trovare" la punta da caccia, svitarla e rimuovere la freccia od il dardo dallo scatolone 😁.

    • @gianluca666

    • @nicolaalberti7736
      @nicolaalberti7736 8 місяців тому

      @@gianluca666 Di nulla, il problema è che lo scatolone non sopporta molti tiri, e tende anche a sfondarsi sul lato posteriore, per farlo durare un po' di più si può rinforzarlo esternamente con del nastro da pacchi, oppure internamente con una tavoletta di compensato della giusta misura 🙂..

    • @gianluca666
      @gianluca666 8 місяців тому

      il compensato per me rischia di rovinare le aste delle frecce ma il nastro da pacchi dovrebbe andare molto bene.

    Allora oggi mi arriva la balestra, non vedo l ora di provarla, mi serve peròun consiglio su come costruire un bersaglio artigianale perchè quelli che si comprano costano uno sproposito, il tuo nel video come l hai fatto?

    • @gianluca666
      @gianluca666 10 місяців тому

      grazie della domanda, me la sono fatta anche io quando ho preso la balestra. hai assolutamente ragione. i bersagli in commercio sono cari e non durano molto. in più con balestre potenti e veloci rischi comunque di rovinare l'impennaggio dei dardi. ho provato diversi materiali ma la soluzione migliore per i dardi con punta da bersaglio (non da caccia) è un contenitore di stoffa pieno ma proprio pieno di stracci tipo jeans, magliette, felpe, lenzuola, coperte, ecc. il dado si pianta poco e si estrae facilmente con due dita. io inizialmente avevo usato un contenitore cucito appositamente (quello che vedi nel video). poi ho trovato un grosso e vecchio trolley vicino ad un cassonetto e ora uso quello. il vantaggio è che ha le ruote ed è quindi più facile da spostare... il lato negativo di questo materiale infatti è il peso piuttosto elevato! presto farò un video sull'argomento, se vuoi iscriviti al canale così non te lo perderai!

    You can just buy the correct size (diameter) disc for your grinder to begin with or, if the design of the guard still interferes, just get the next smaller size, like 115mm instead of 125mm for example. 👍

    I have a small Makita Angle grinder. The arbor is smaller than the center of the disc so I had to use a couple washers to get it centered. Then I was able to clean off my snow plow blade for re-painting very quickly.

      the main issue is how to attach a new motor to the drill. as you can see in the video there is a 4 hole plate. I'll have to make an adapter to attach a new motor to that plate. not too difficult but I have to think about it.

      @@gianluca666 Most machines have similar mounting. A standard electric motor with a flange will be able to fit with a little work :) 0.55kw or 0.75kw will be perfect, and most importantly it does not differ much in dimensions from the original electric motor.
