Ha, I don’t remember what I said in the video. Basically, using the guide that holds the blade, you have to figure out how much of the edge of the blade needs to stick out to be sharpening the edge. If too much is out, you’ll be shining the metal up but not sharpening the edge. It’s different for different blades. That’s why you color the edge with sharpie, then roll it back and forth a few times to make sure it’s sharpening the very edge. So maybe 3/16 is how much blade should be sticking out of the guide.
