Awesome video. I'm putting together kits with c8 manifold and ported 95 mm TB. The intake is port matched on the inlet. The bottom is clearanced, very nice push connector for brake booster, and map wire extension. It's everything needed to bolt on and tune. I started with a ported stock tb and stock c8 and that picked up 19 wheel over stock. Haven't tested the new setup with 95mm tb yet. I'm expecting a realistic 24-25 on an otherwise stock 16+ Camaro SS. A rotofab dry will help.
How much?
How'd the 95mm do with the c8 mani?
Soler Performance definitely delivered on their claims of great part throttle and initial tip in improvements while also being very competitive in the peak flow numbers, Pray knows what he is doing and did a great job with his TB which is better than stock at part throttle, but not as noticeable as the Soler, but at WOT the Pray Performance TB did outperform the Soler. For all out gains the Pray Ported TB is the one to get, for a little more part throttle and everyday driving with pretty much very similar gains at WOT the Soler Performance TB is the one I would go with!
Jorgito a quick update. I got my soler throttle today and I'm very impressed with the throttle . Now, they also send me the adapter as well with the throttle so I guessing that now they send the adapter with the purchase of the throttle .plus the remove center piece making now 100mm. I can't post a picture of here you guys can appreciate the great work this guys did.
The same price $530 with the adapter included
Hey Jorge when switching from the stock 87mm TB to a 95mm TB you would need a tune correct? My car is stock except for the Roto fab CAI and I want to get a throttle body was looking for your input.... miss your camaro BTW
Hey, yes for the 95mm Tb you would need a tune. And thanks hopefully it’s back on the channel here soon!
I ordered Prey performance's ported TB and ported intake manifold. Should be in Monday.
Gregory Duhon you won’t be disappointed! The pray performance tb is very good. I’m going to be ordering a pray ported msd intake to finish up my combo
@@JLSpeed I'm driving down there and doing the swap Nd. RETUNE
How did you like it brotha? ,I’m on the verge of getting that for my 19ss
Nice tb's you got there , cant wait to see the gains at the track !
JOE RODRIGUEZ me too! Hopefully finally Tun an 11.5 or better!
Question why did u decide to go with 95mm instead of 103mm
The 103 is more for boosted applications
@@JLSpeedgotcha gotcha , I am tuned with someone else other than pray but have heard that pray’s porting is actually really good. Where would one order a TB from him ?
@@jjseizdos8663 yeah his porting is great I would say just email them directly to see if they have it available
Did you have to unplug the negative terminal in the battery for 8 hours(soler performance) brotha?
Jonathan B. Yes I did to help the car reset and relearn the Tb
Jorge Loves Speed right on,I’m a bit confused on the step where you have to drive at at least 44 mph and decelerate gradually it says to do it 4 times ,how long should I wait till I actually give it some hard pulls?
Jonathan B. I would say after doing the 44 mph and a few miles of driving you could start doing some spirited acceleration and hard pulls after like 10-15 miles of drivinf
Any chance you gonna upgrade your sound system? Would love to see that!
denzel domingo maybe down the road, right now I’m trying to focus on the speed mods lol
I got my 19 about a month ago and was thinking about getting the same speed engineering kit you have will it do much for the sound of the car stock muffler with out npp
Tyler Gentry it should make it much louder for sure, not sure how much louder, but it will wake it up for sure
Would 103mm be a good idea for starting off with general bolt ons, or would that require a new manifold?
I think the 103 would require a new manifold the stock one can only use up to a 95mm
Hello man , I hope you're doing well. Man, where do you buy that ICT billet adapter? Please can you provide the link? I ask because I dont know which one it is . Thank-you
sdparts.com/i-24137957-ict-billet-551793-gen-5-lt5-95mm-throttle-body-adapter-plate-to-lt1-intake-manifold-or-lt4-sc.html
@@JLSpeed thank you man! Love your videos very informative, please keep it up im learning alot waching your videos. Thank you
I bought a 95 mm prey tb but I have a unported stock manifold will the plate on the tb clear with out the spacer my screw holes are drilled out to align the mani ?
I believe it should still work, its the 103mm ones that do not.
@@JLSpeed thanks bro 🙏
The Tb adapter plate defeats the purpose of the Tb being ported right...
Yes, but soler engineering sells the appropriate tb plates that are ported and will fit perfectly with either stock or msd intake manifold.
Slippery doesn’t equal hp. Head porting isn’t polished smooth by many porters. Take it to the track, I doubt there’s a ton of difference. We’re only talking a tb.
Mike StClair i agree, in terms of peak hp difference probably not that much of a difference between the two ported versions, but I can honestly say the part throttle difference between them is noticeable. The Soler part throttle response is much better
Jorge Loves Speed I almost think you’re better off doing the ported intake, ported tb, E85, and tune all at once. It’s like a cumulative effort where together, it makes a much bigger difference. I did all that and headers on my 17 and the difference was pretty dramatic. Now I have a 2020 and starting all over, other than the rotofab I pulled off.
Mike StClair of course you will see a big difference doing all at once. For me this was a good way to really see the part throttle differences. Until you try both back to back, you won’t understand or feel the difference
Hey man, I know it's been a while buy do you still have the pray ported tb? If so, is it for sale?
Sold it a while back man.
@@JLSpeed aw man, thanks anyways bro
You should put a link to both of the TB’s 😎
That Pray TB is pretty impressive for for a guy doing it with hand tools in his garage.
Justin Leitch definitely, his stuff is real world proven for sure!
Did you have to retune when swapping the two different 95s?
No i did not but I I did have to get a tune for the 95mm in general
@@JLSpeed cool have a pray tune and fbo minus the tb for now
Hi, where did you get the throttle body adapter?
The one in this video was from ICT billet, but Soler performance now has adapters that will work and be better fitted to either stock manifold or msd manifold.
Would a soler proformance tb fit on a stock ss manifold with out adapter plate I currently sold my 95mm pray proformance because the flap wouldn't clear It would hit on the shrout of the manifold please help 🙏
Not if you haven’t modified the Tb opening on the manifold. But Soler does sell an adapter that will help it bolt right up it’s basically a small spacer that gives the clearance to have the 95mm Tb to open
Cool video bro 🤟just subbed
Suchabeast24 thanks!
Should be some good gains out of one of them
Fast Lane Pros yeah they are both pretty much even one slightly better at wot top end and another better in the mid to lower range
Do you still have the prey performance TB for sale?
Its been sold
I suggest you do a little bit more research before buying mods. It sounds like you're going for a ported msd Intake manifold. Spend a little time on the camaro6 forums. You will see why that's a waste of money. If you're going NA. Port the stock intake manifold. Even pray will confirm that.
craig, i have the 2019 10 speed auto and have personally talked with brett at pray performance who has recommended i go with the ported msd intake with 95mm tb. Trust me I have done my due diligence and researched and asked more knowledgeable people for their opinions. The 10 speed spends a lot more time at much higher rpms compared to the 8 speed at which point the ported msd intake will see more gains vs an 8 speed with same intake. Thanks for your input though.
I suggest you specially ask pray about this. He will flat out tell you, as he has told me that on a NA cam or heads/cam car, that even stock ported intake manifold stops pulling around 5800-6000rpm. A ported MSD will pull up to 6500-6600rpm before it tapers off.
Pray #1
Pray performance is 10x better than all
Redzone prays tb is good, no doubt about it definitely had the wot top end flow, the Soler was not very far behind at all I would say it was very close almost a toss up but felt the Soler much better overall under partial throttle and daily driving.
@@JLSpeed I feel that. Guys I know with pray Dust the shit outta everyone. Top end is insane and the 1/4 mile
I agree 100% Pray All Day!!!!!
sexi car wow
