You have SUCH an eye for what is going to look good on people. I loved when you color and dried it after bleaching and toning and explained that it looks good, but you're going to keep going to make sure it's hair that looks good on HER. The most upset I've ever been with my hair is when I spent the most money on it. I came in and explained what I wanted and the (very talented) hairdresser did something else completely that looked really beautiful- just awful on me and made me feel ugly.
That's probably the most professional dye job I've ever seen. It looks like her hair was sunkissed and grew out naturally that way. No lines or banding. Amazing, especially since she had black box dye on it. You're a hair genius, Guy Tang!

I’ve seen many “super” hair artists here in London. To get a few highlights, a shampoo and a toner. In 1 hour, I was out, not happy and ruined. I paid a fortune and they didn’t give me an inch of what Guy Tang give to his client.

I’m 4 years’ late to this video but I just have to add that, as a natural blonde, I think Asians look incredible as blondes - if the not the best. I think it is SUCH a flattering shade on that range of coloring. It highlights the gorgeous texture and strength of the hair while amping the glow of brown eyes and olive/warm skin tones.

Even my lecturer would tell off students who color their hair as being ashamed of 'their Asian roots' or something like that. It's as if, speaking in your mother tongue, eating your local food, and wearing your traditional garment almost everyday is not enough.
Changing hair color does not really mean you dont love ur ethnicity or roots. Its all just COLORS . We also use or wear different colors of our clothes, nails, accesories, lipsticks or getting tattoo. All are just about blending in to our natural skin tone to look more presentable and polished. I love your creativity and imaginative approach to hair color! My comments aren't meant as criticism, just as a real life consideration: as a colorist for over 30 yrs, I've worked in many high end/Madison ave type salons, as well as freelancing on my own. Salon owners would definitely take issue with using the 6 different formulas you typically advocate for each client. This is just not realistic or cost effective in real life. Too expensive, requiring ginormous stocking of color. Not to mention, this takes many hours, really allowing you to take only one or at the most, two clients a day. This can only really work for your unique situation as an independent and brand owner with unlimited access to your line. Nevertheless, I find your channel entertaining and inspiring. And I applaud your fearless branching out into music, despite the small minded criticism.
Really like the color. Often times Asian skin tones look funky when going the wrong shade of grey or like too orange or too yellow. Being asian myself, It's nice to see another asian doing this stuff. Finally bleach that can life asian hair...it's taken 35 years for the industry to come up with bleaches for our dark hair and toners that work for olive skins. Hair color is fun for many.
I've used Guy's collagen and I love it! It works really well. I don't use Olaplex anymore. It isn't what it has been promoted as, in my opinion. So please don't attack me. I prefer CAT & Extreme by Redken and Guy's collagen.

That looks gorge🎉and its cool how you put in all the protection treatments and blended the rootage to the mids so well by a melt and also the ends..the colour remover first,ashes,collagen powder etc. then the lightener with 40 and foils was a miracle result😊 fabulous

Ok, first you applied colour remover, then you neutralised the under pigments with ash, and finally you applied bleach on her hair... Isn't her hair too much damaged ???
Colour remover does not damage hair in general. Other than the eggie smell, it usually leaves hair soft and healthy. Guy also uses Olaplex and his own collagen products during bleaching and colouring. So the answer to your question is... no... Guy Tang is not likely to fry his client's hair off. He knows his stuff!!
Preach, Guy Tang! The amount of time I got told 'It's not natural' to go blonde or wear coloured contacts made my eyes rolled so much I can see my brain. If someone told you you can only wear the same clothes every day, would you? It's just a little change and a bit of choice we're all entitled to.

It sucks that hair colour removers are hard to come by. I took my orange (previously box dyed black) hair that couldn't be lifted out, to blonde with colour remover. Needless to say, that was a good start to my summer 🌞

Being asian myself, It's nice to see another asian doing this stuff. Finally bleach that can life asian hair...it's taken 35 years for the industry to come up with bleaches for our dark hair and toners that work for olive skins. Hair color is fun for many.

I've used Guy's collagen and I love it! It works really well. I don't use Olaplex anymore. It isn't what it has been promoted as, in my opinion. So please don't attack me. I prefer CAT & Extreme by Redken and Guy's collagen.

That looks gorge🎉and its cool how you put in all the protection treatments and blended the rootage to the mids so well by a melt and also the ends..the colour remover first,ashes,collagen powder etc. then the lightener with 40 and foils was a miracle result😊 fabulous

Ok, first you applied colour remover, then you neutralised the under pigments with ash, and finally you applied bleach on her hair... Isn't her hair too much damaged ???
Colour remover does not damage hair in general. Other than the eggie smell, it usually leaves hair soft and healthy.
Guy also uses Olaplex and his own collagen products during bleaching and colouring.
So the answer to your question is... no... Guy Tang is not likely to fry his client's hair off. He knows his stuff!!
Preach, Guy Tang! The amount of time I got told 'It's not natural' to go blonde or wear coloured contacts made my eyes rolled so much I can see my brain. If someone told you you can only wear the same clothes every day, would you? It's just a little change and a bit of choice we're all entitled to.
I honestly have no lucky in hair salons, and I am not brave enough to do anything at home. I basically gave up on my hair a while ago. I wish there was more professionals like you out there, I would love a real hair transformation like that! Your work is amazing 🤩

It sucks that hair colour removers are hard to come by. I took my orange (previously box dyed black) hair that couldn't be lifted out, to blonde with colour remover. Needless to say, that was a good start to my summer 🌞
