Great job “educating,” Francis!! I learned a lot!! I was a stylist for 15 years - then took a 10 year hiatus to get married and have children… it’s been rough coming back into the industry - when I left I was at the top of my game… NOW, I feel like a small fish in a very big pond… SO MANY tips and techniques I had forgotten, over the years. I am so inspired, once again, after watching this video! Thanks!! GREAT JOB!!
YES SHE NEEDS A UA-cam CHANNEL! Im a hairdresser turned stay at home mama wanting to get back behind the chair and this is such a great modernized refresher! love BOTH of yall! :) - Jessika
I love the way she explained everything! This is the first video I have ever watched of yours. It was awesome! I'm a hairdresser of 35 years and love learning on you tube.
Ive watched the video like 4 or 5 times and i enjoyed Your interaction and learn something new evrytime, great video and great results, thanks for posting
Francis is a wonderful educator, most of the time I can’t watch cause they are boring me to death lol, I’m an old hairdresser of 34 years, still renting my chair. I loved your video I learned a lot!
Frances should be an educator. I like the way she explains things in terms that I completely understand. That hair looks absolutely gorgeous. Love both u ladies
I loved this combined video Mirella 💖👍🏼Enjoying all your content always , and she definitely should go into u-tube educating .. very enjoyable Thanku for sharing all your content loving it all ❤
Loved the transformation and the techniques well am planning to become a hair dresser in the future and I think those videos are really helpful thank you and yes Frances should do a UA-cam channel
Loved it, amazing job!!!!! Also Loved the stylist and her authentic self, it’s like a fresh breath of air from all the clones in the industry. Let’s normalize being authentic and being are true self. 💗🙏🏻
I love this Mirella! I always learn so much from you and now Francis! Something tells me that Francis has a name for her car too! 😂 Btw-I think anything south of the El Toro Y is south county! 😊 I know more about that than I know about hair apparently! 😂
Haha! I have a feeling she has a name for her car too 🤣 I 100% agree! Everything south of el Toro is south 😅 Irvine is Irvine and then North County. Lol Thanks for watching ❤️
I have always needed to improve at charging! What I realize no matter how good you are, if you are under charge, people often think you are less valuable. I completely revived a clients color, grew her hair out. She always would say how much she loved my work and when I raised her $20 she said she came to me because I was cheap and left! I could not believe it. You didn't mention how hard this work is on our bodies. . Luckily my clients always tip me well for the most part because of the work I do. I need to treat myself better
Thank you for your comment. I would recommend creating a pricing structure where you do not rely on tips. Tips are optional. ❤️ If my client doesn't tip, that's ok because my pricing covers the cost of business and my living.
I am so fangirling over here!!! 😍 My 2 fave girls! I wanted to talk to you guys throughout the video lol. I have my own names for all my techniques as well. And I've always called it shadow root. Also, love the NUAs but I did stop using it because it works so well that it's hard to remove when clients come back for retouches. Love you girls!
Love you Frances! She is the best teacher, I assisted her & it was the best experience in my hair journey ❤ she truly loves hair & it shows in all her work!
I absolutely LOVED the end results. I am always scared if I do a darker shadow root, that when I comb it into the blonde toner, Im afraid the dark will cover the blonde:/ I guess I need to have faith in the process. I’d love to see more free hand, air processing balayage:)
Nice job ladies!,😊 My hair especially at the roots pulls red and orange in the front money price why does it do that? What can I do to bring it to Blonde. Toner usually doesn't work. 😢
I grew up in North Orange County near Disneyland, and the cost of living is no joke. I can't afford to live there now, I'm just over the border into LA county in Long Beach (which I love). I work in Tustin so we get clientele from both North and South county, and sometimes it's like night and day. Mod B looks like a beautiful place where you'd get a fantastic service. Thank you for sharing!
Hi there! Love your videos! I have a question in rewards to toning hair. Would it be ok to tone hair 4-6 weeks before getting your current highlights retouch? Hope you can help out! Thank you!!
I have a foiling color class coming up in June! You can learn more about it here: mirellamanelli.com/hair-education/ One on one session would be through my shadowing program you can learn more about it on my site MirellaManelli.com/links
Good Morning, I have seen the class. It is in person class. I really was looking for something online that could be done through zoom . I live in GA and I am into wig making and customization using Virgin or Raw hair extensions. I don’t have any background in hair coloring whatsoever ever, but I am ready to learn. So, I am looking for someone who will breakdown for me , the principle of coloring and how to balayage with foliage. Even if it will take like 2 to 3 classes as long as the person can given me the time need . Let me if if something you help me With. Thanks.
Sooo beautiful!❤❤ I swear, American hairdresserd know their way around a balayage!!! Here in the Netherlands, not soooo much 😑😑 Keep up the good work!!
All hair products have increased over the top the last 8 years no matter where you live. Plus cost of living Clients still do not understand cost and profit which is not much! You both do A+ work but some people still go to male stylist and Never ask price just because they expect to pay more never question them. My boss is left handed and super stylist!!Two of the Best👍🏻
THIS WAS AMAZING AND I LEARNED SO MUCH!!! I have questions! I don't know if you can answer them - 1. How do you avoid going too far with your root shadow? Sometimes I feel I go too low, that it almost looks like we didn’t do anything at all to their hair! 2. What technique would you use on thin hair? Same thing, break it up into 3 sections? So many more but I can’t comment them all!
Thank you so much! 1. The drag down is done right before the blend meaning less processing time and shear end result. This toning process was don’t pretty quickly. Over all it’s in the placement and timing! 2. Same placement just less foils. Remember your background. You need depth for the highlights to pop. Hope this helps!
@@MirellaManelliso cool of you to answer her with real solutions. Love watching your videos, especially the testing of products both professional and what us diy folks can get our hands on 😢, such a bummer but I get it to a certain degree (but still a bummer). Anyhoot just wanted to share. Keep doing what you’re doing and staying humble in the process, a characteristic of yours I highly respect. Too many get lost in the glitz and glam and lose themselves through their rise becoming a detriment to their own success. You’re ability to maintain balance is 👍👍. Kids will be proud 😉

I would recommend Demi permanent hair color

She keeps saying “neutral extra ash”. The nua stands for natural extra ash right?
If hair colouring is about $400, just imagine the cost in a few years could be about $800 a client.
