Then use the 'generate custom POI list' option in kinggen, making sure to choose the 7dtd prefab folder (... steamapps/common/7DaystoDie/data/prefabs). Name and save the list where you can find it. May take a minute to create the file. Next, click on the drop down option for 'poi list' in kinggen and choose 'custom'. Then find the file you just created and select it. Generate your world and hover over a few poi's to show their names (new feature in KingGen 11.1) until you see your new pois. That bit might take a while but quicker than loading up the map and using the dm tool to teleport to the pois. You can manually edit the prefab xml file by opening it in notepad and adding individual poi details by hand. For example: on a new line paste your version of [business_old_01,19,18,47,-1,2,burnt_forest/snow/pine_forest/desert/wasteland,city/town/rural,commercial/downtown]. Make sure your prefab folder contains the required poi files before generating the world. In this example 'business_old_01'. There may be 7 files needed for each poi.

Your English is really good don't worry at all. Your server will need the map and poi files installed. The players joining 'may' need to download the pois but I'm not completely sure about that. If you're hosting it on your pc I thi k it should just work if they're joining your game.

In your custom poi list, the end of each poi line may end with 2 commas ( ,, ) like this: ...something,something,, Place a 1 between the commas and a 2 or 3 or 4 after the commas like this: ... something,something,1,2 This will force a minimum of 1 of the poi and a maximum of 2. In this example.
I hope it works for you. It's not 100 percent reliable. Other factors may prevent your poi from spawning. I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. Plenty more on map making if they're any interest to you on my page.
Rewatched your video a second time and my understanding is going up. I don't have a custom p.o.i list instead its a singular custom p.o.i . Its prefabs is copied into my game's prefab folder. So does that mean that if i generate a world using the vanilla option it will generate all the p.o.i s listed in my game's prefab folder? trying to wrap my head around this procedure.
Just to expand on that a little: if you've made a custom map which is all wasteland, for example, the first trader quest won't work. The solution is to draw some forest under one of your cities. Bare in mind that you might spawn at the other end of the map if you haven't adjusted your spawn.xml file.
Is there a tutorial on how to get these custom maps on my rented server? I'd love to get my friends into one of these custom games. Thanks in advance, game on.

help am trying to use custom pois from wasteland mod because it dosent spawn them in random world gen so i used nitrogen wich works but after 2 weeks of playing with my friend i kept getting red text errors saying taht it cant load certain blocks or whatever and it keeps carshing so i switched to kinggen and even when i did erase ,, and put ,1,4 at the end i keep crashing the kinggen and cant generate ... btw normal vanilla poi kinggen works fine so i dont know whats wrong pls help .... kinggen says permission denied
Are you in the compopack discord or the kinggen section of the 7dtd community page as someone recently had the exact same problem and I'm pretty sure there was a solution for them. If changing the end of the poi line to ,1,4 didn't help can you copy and paste another poi line that you know does work and just change the first part of the line (with the name of the poi) to the one you can't get working. Try just adding 1 new one at a time so you can eliminate the problem one.
OK i tried to generate a POI list using the button you mentioned and it directed me to the 7dtd folder where i then chose the custom prefab list folder and then it proceeded to show me the contents of the custom prefab folder...am i doing this right? how to proceed?
The custom prefab files should be in with the vanilla prefabs. Point the software at the main prefabs folder. It'll make a list that includes vanilla and whatever you've added. Won't work if your custom prefabs are in another folder. Must be the main prefabs folder in 7dtd.
Hovering over buildings in kinggen now tells you what the building is. You can have a quick look to see if your new prefabs are there before exporting to 7dtd.

I'm having a headache trying to get my prefabs to work on the .txt file to work... It keep discarding lines, even some of the ones KingGen itself has generated... Like I got a few prefabs that I really liked, I have them fully set for KingGen but it ignores them no matter what, and there is no Discord or any place I can go for help... And out of the prefabs, the 3 BEST ones are the ones that this is happening, very frustrating... (It's not Compo Pack cause its meh for me)
In the poilist xml, at the end of the line that includes your poi's, there are typically two commas. For example " ,, ". Change this to " ,1,4 " to force a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 4. Obviously set these to the numbers you'd prefer. Make sure kinggen is using this edited poilist file. This system works for me. Also make sure you have the biome/hub that is specified in this line.

Trial and Error until I got it to work lol Thanks still, sometimes the line end has 3 commas and it becomes a tad iffy to put the Min/Max numbers in and it gives a Float error when generating, but it seems to have stabilized, also had to adjust the xyz/ y position and rotation as they were using NitroGen one that is completely different.
Yes. In a way. You'll need to use the world editor and select each building then remove it. It'll take a while and it'll leave the footprint of the poi behind. But it's possible.
From the main menu of 7dtd choose editor(?) and world editor. Then pick your world and choose to load it. Honestly it's not easy to explain here in text. 'not a gamer gaming' has a great video on 'adding poi to existing world'. He's done more than one version so make sure to watch the newest one. It features a dog kennel. Put a copy of your own poi 8n LocalPrefabs. Make sure it is tagged with "wilderness" and it should spawn in the wild when you gen a new map. Or use world editor to place it manually.
There have been a few conversations about this in the community chat for KingGen if you fancy checking that out? It's definitely possible but I haven't tried it myself. I'll post a link to the forum below.

I'm sorry, the compopack devs have taken down cp47 to prevent a20 players using it. It's not compatible with a20. Cp48 should be out soon though.
Can compo pack mess up the initial trader quest? When I get it it just says No Trader
Do you have a city based in a forest biome? The first trader quest needs one of those.
Just to expand on that a little: if you've made a custom map which is all wasteland, for example, the first trader quest won't work. The solution is to draw some forest under one of your cities. Bare in mind that you might spawn at the other end of the map if you haven't adjusted your spawn.xml file.

Take a look at the "fixing kinggen" video. The file structure has changed so it might not work but you could start there?
