So I finally followed your vid and yeah, I have a save now. I've lost a few worlds to power outages (oddly my bases are there and whatever gear I've stored- all my skills gone, starting at level one), this should fix that, if i remember to backup- thanks, man!

Save time at the start, don't bother going to the options. Just go into the "address" bar in the folder window and just type: %AppData% And hit enter. It'll take you to that primary user app data folder regardless of it being hidden or shown :)
Just when i thought your videos couldnt get any more badass you topped it by solving my number 1 top problem which is dealing with save files. Do you know if these save files would work transferring these save files to another profile or computer?
Thank you. I have a creative world and everything is done but we want to download a mod so we can actually turn some of the nicer lights on and I would HATE to have the mod mess up and have to do it again
Would this also save other players stats and stuff? :P if i reset my pc completely, but backup this folder.. would other players profiles stay there with inventory/stats?
You should try all things rocket launcher, such as the demolitionist expert governing the crafted quality of the rocket launcher (and that you still need to find the schematic for the rocket launcher weapon itself). I’d like to see the blast radius of the various rockets as well.

hey... now alpha 20.1 is out.. if i backed up my save and it breaks.. do i just paste over the broken files with the copy? or will it just break again and i should go back to the previous version of alpha 20?
did you make this video cause of the comment i asked you about im sure im not the only one whose commented about losing some of thier data but also i really wish i knew about this sooner T.T
Nonsense, did you yourself try reinstalling the windows or moving the saves to a different PC? Well surprise, your character will start from level 1 again, only the world actually saves. You should start teaching people how to create a folder with the power of their stupid minds, cause i see they thank you but they didn't yet taste the bitterness. hehe...
@@SavensWorld I only ask you this, move your data to another PC, and you will see that your character will be Level 1, which means you are playing for nothing, you won't be able to keep your Character's progress, only World Progress is saved.

You're welcome! Backing up those game saves is extremely important! Especially with a game in alpha.

I'm not sure but you would need to transfer the world save as well

Cool. I make a compressed zip folder in the the same folder and upload a copy of the zip to google drive.

I think it's easier if you just press Windows + R and type %appdata%.
Do the saves work in a new alpha (A20)?
Won't know for sure until A20 comes out but usually no. Normally you have to restart when a new alpha comes out.

I use this backup method almost daily. It works if you follow the instructions.
