The majority of Peruvian food is a mix of races and flavors ( criollismo ) and that is what makes it sooooo special. Btw I totally loved the video. 💕💕💕
My wife is Cusquena, after 15yrs of living in the states we moved to Cuzco. I spent 5yrs traveling all over working here and there. My number one advice, eat everything you possibly can !! The street food and markets are amazing and affordable so you can have more variety.
It has about 400-500 typical dishes or plates (meaning original from Peru not seen anywhere else) and that's by conservative estimates and not counting other ancillary food, like sandwiches or sweets and appetizers, so maybe a little bit more than corn and potatoes ...just saying . =)
Guillermo Del Solar yes of course but the meals that I mostly grew up with were sour and fresh like ceviche, potato with papa a la Huancaina and salchipapa, and corn like mazamorra morada. But of course those are not the only Peruvian dishes that exist. I was just describing that most of what I ate was like that.
Sweeties, is not bengal pepper, is panka pepper or Ají panka, is a kind of peruvian chili pepper it`s very usual to find it in peruvian dishes, and in Emoliente, it isn`t "apple", it`s quince or membrillo, it`s common get confuse, cause are similar to apples and pears. Best wishes! c:

It is the only country in the world with at least 8 types of cuisine: Creole, Marine, Andean, Amazonian, Nikkei, Chifa, Vegetarian and Haute cuisine. Furthermore, Peru has 491 typical dishes, thus becoming the country with the largest number of typical dishes in the world. It also has 2,500 native soups, 250 desserts and more than 3,000 varieties of potatoes. We can feel proud that God has blessed us with a gastronomy that is unique in the world. 🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪
The majority of Peruvian food is a mix of races and flavors ( criollismo ) and that is what makes it sooooo special. Btw I totally loved the video. 💕💕💕
Thank you so much!
actually is not the racial mixing (wrong on my view). is their indigenous products cultivated for thousand of years
My wife is Cusquena, after 15yrs of living in the states we moved to Cuzco. I spent 5yrs traveling all over working here and there. My number one advice, eat everything you possibly can !! The street food and markets are amazing and affordable so you can have more variety.
Chorritos a la chalaca like Tom Yum, no way its different
I love the peruvian food too! Its so tasty ctm :D
It is really amazing
Peruvian food in a nutshell:
Sour
Potato
Corn
Yup sounds about right
hahahah a lot of corn and Potatoes haha but so so good!
Don't forget rice
Sweeties, is not bengal pepper, is panka pepper or Ají panka, is a kind of peruvian chili pepper it`s very usual to find it in peruvian dishes, and in Emoliente, it isn`t "apple", it`s quince or membrillo, it`s common get confuse, cause are similar to apples and pears. Best wishes! c:
Thank you so much for the info!

Es la capital gastronómica de América. 8 veces campeona mundial de la gastronomía en estos últimos 8 años la gastronomía peruana.
guy: it's not raw, it's technically cook by lime.... ok guy
hahahaha
