Peru is divided in three areas; one is the coast where people eat a lot of seafood; the highland where people enjoy different variations of stews and the jungle where people eat plátanos (as Gadiel like) and cook with plantain leaves the food. You know what is funny when I went to Peruvian restaurant in New Jersey it was quite busy at the time, no seats left and as I ate my meal I was socializing with other people that were in the restaurant. The whole restaurant was full of Guatemalans and Salvadoreans hahaha... well actually there was one Cuban couple there too but everyone else was from either Guatemala or El Salvador. Nearly every table of the Guatemalans and Salvadoreans that were eating there had at least one order of the Peruvian style Tamales (Humitas) in addition to the other dishes. I found it very interesting!
For my spanish project i had to do it on a specific country. I chose peru!!! I had told about the culture and it's history, different dances, the food(fav part. i love food) And me and my mom had made Alfajores for the class. it was soo good and we got it perfect on the first try. Everyone loved it and i just remember it being one of the best days for me and my friends.

Peruvian food is amazing! I lived in Peru 1 year and travel there constantly for work, the only thing that I was really disappointed with regards to food was their empanadas.

My mom's side family Peruvian, and my dad's side Chinese family born in Peru over 300 years established in Peru. The fun part of having both cultures is that you get to prepare different meals everyday from both sides and never get bored of eating. Peru has thousands of dishes from antrees, main courses, soups to pastries. Hahaha
