Ok, I'm from Lima, I understand that for people who live in more developed countries is's an exotic experience to see how people live in a developing country, it must be an eye-opening experience in many ways but... Personally, I have issues with the idea of "idealizing" poverty as a sing of goodness... I believe it's a very childish way of seeing life... As I said before I'm from Lima and I know for real that there are good and bad people in all social levels, also I believe that we could help these people so much more if we helped them OUT of the life circumstances they're stuck in, giving them the knowledge and tools necessary to accomplish that. Peru has improved a lot in the last 25 years thanks to people who decided to get up and worked hard, which is the only way to leave extreme poverty behind... Well, just my opinion
I agree and taking this tour really does help them out. It provides a place for the kids so the parents can work and food for the family's. We also donated food and while we were there. So yea i understand what you say but we can only do so much as there is only two of us but with this video it can help the tour grow which will provide more support and help for the community in the end as well.
Francamente admirable.
The problem here is corruption, to many greedy people, Tried exporting coffee and you wouldn't believe the problems, everyone wants a cut! I have found the poorer the community here the nicer the people. this isn't always true but seems to be the norm.
🌟That was so great seeing you and Tah away from the tourist areas and out seeing the real people of this city.👍 The whole video was very helpful to get others to see the beauty of the people and this place. Wow. I’m Peruvian my family is from Lima and most of my family still live there and it gives me so much happiness to see you guys showing this. People like to show the nice rich areas and don’t give Lima enough credit. Yes it can be dangerous and yes it is very poor but the people couldn’t be happier and kind and the food is so amazing. Of all of the travelling I have done....Peru is by FAR the most interesting because the terrain and climate changes so much from area to area. The food is the best in South America and I can't wait for this damn virus to become a bad memory and can travel again. Next stops, Bogota and Lima again.
I lived in Lima my entire life, I haven’t been in this part unless I would pass by. But this is amazing, they seem more like a community and show lot of friendliness and closeness, don’t know how to describe it, but their positiveness really makes me happy.
I am happy to see that as tourists they not only see the areas of money people (Cercado, Miraflores, San Isidro, Barranco, and other similar), that is not only Lima, but there are places where you do not have all the comforts but also They have their own beautiful places and where people are more simple and friendly. This is a great video and that many follow in this type of video.

Hi there I been following ur journey guys have fun in Peru new place ..... keep safe guys hope the corona is not there yet in Peru ..:.. safe travels 👌🙏🙏🙏
You have had great luck with health, stomach health, and other potential problems in many countries. With the ongoing covid-19 situation, you may have to be much more selective in the places you dare to visit in the near future. As always, wonderful videos!!
Villa El Salvador(VES) is a district inside Metropolitan Region of Lima(Lima has many provinces). VES history is so taugh and hard. It is literally a district built on the sand. In 80s Peru suffered the most Hypher-Inflation, Economical crisis in its whole history and it adds the Terrorism from not one but two terrorist groups. VES starts like a rural zone in 80s. In 90s people still tried to emerge from the national crisis but the terrorism started to appear not only in the Andes but in the big cities now, like Lima, specially in the most poor and new districts like VES. VES people decided fight against Terrorism threats, they were the first district to deny front of the fear those terrorists groups showed. Even many VES people died trying defending the peace of that district in 1992. That's why The Pope Jhon Paul II arrived there in the 2nd visit in Perú.
As the son of Peruvian immigrants who came in 1964, have to say in those few trips to Lima and around that this culture is best avoided. Both of my parents died more than 25 years ago. Don't miss them.
Good video, but one advice, please invest some time in research about the places you visit, before and after filming. Specially afterwards, so that any miunderstanding or wrong assumptions of words, meanings, writing or history can be corrected during the final editing (e.g. it's not "bacha mama" but "pachamama", it's "chicha morada, not "chicha mirada", etc). Same suggestion for your other videos. Cheers! Keep it up!

Peru is a country where the majority of the poor population suffer from tuberculosis. Because of this disease, people's lungs are already affected and COVID-9 may be fatal. I dont want to be negative, but it hope you made this video months ago and not recently, Because the one that was coughing should be under quarantine. Despite this, your video is very nice, with lot of empathy and compassion, If you feel sick, please follow local regulations regarding the pandemic and avoid contact with others
@@marielaaguilar2470 hmmm.. Tuberculosis is a known to be a bacterial infection disease, and i far as i know, it has nothing to do with miners. It affects the lungs of infected people and it becomes chronic on most cases.
Villa el salvador is not an actual villa but a whole urban district. Chicha morada is non alcoholic, we also have regular old jora chicha which can be alcoholic or not, and it is made from germinated corn grains
The only bad thing about your videos is that you misspell a lot of stuff, like Pachamama, that you wrote Basha mama, it happened in other videos too, so, as a recommendation, maybe do a little research before to make sure you got the right name, because besides that, I love your work, your humbleness and the energy you have, it's very authentic
Hi Divert Living, you are wrong when at min 2:51, said: purple corn "They said it's from Indians, in the US". Purple corn is native to the Andes region of what is now Peru. It has been widely cultivated throughout the Andean region, mainly in Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Argentina. You have to get a reliable information before you edit your video, google it for info, mainly use google scholar.
01:07...it is PACHA MAMA!!!, not "basha mama", not "pacho mama", it is PACHA MAMA!!!...you have millions of Peruvians around you and you didn´t want to ask any of them how to write PACHA MAMA correctly....c´mon...put some will.
hang on brother, and please understand the situation and follow the rules. there are reports of lots of tourist stuck un lima that are not followind the quarantine. I really wish everything will be good for you.

"(Metropolitan Area. MEXICO CITY, 2. SAO PAULO, 3. BUENOS AIRES, 4. RIO DE JANEIRO, THEN COMES 5. LIMA PERU, AND THEN 6. BOGOTA
Las 10 ciudades más pobladas de América Latina, pasate lin Ciudad de México, México. ... São Paulo, Brasil. ... Buenos Aires, Argentina. ... Río de Janeiro, Brasil. ... Lima, Perú. ... Bogotá, Colombia. ... Caracas, Venezuela. ... Santiago, Chile.
12:49 You might want to refrain from turning your back towards people when you're speaking to them to talk to the camera. It's definitely considered rude in some cultures. I only say this because I notice you've done this in a few videos.

Pachamama. What area of Peru did you go?
That is es young neighborhood. People from outside of the capital build their houses in the area. People from the Andes
Its beautiful!
The little girl was soooo SO SO CUTE! I love it!
She really was!
That video breaks my heart to see ppl living like that...
As the son of Peruvian immigrants who came in 1964, have to say in those few trips to Lima and around that this culture is best avoided. Both of my parents died more than 25 years ago. Don't miss them.
Hello how are you, I remember you were in Peru how are you with the covid19 are you ok
Yes we are fine :)
Cheers! Keep it up!
Thanks, that was actually what the local guide informed us :)
Eight types of passion fruit? I’m heading there!
Great video! I thought purple corn originated from the Andes, not from the U.S?
Too much misinformation. They also said Peruvians dont eat yellow corn, which is wrong
hello, i'm Jorge, a pilot from Lima peru, working with LATAM airline. i came across your page here through the utube suggestion for me so i thought to write to you. where are you from?
Write me when you can and do have a nice day and may God bless you .
Jose Yamamoto you're speaking shit
This video was made over 45 days ago :) She is fine
@@DivertLiving Thank you for clarifying it
Jose Yamamoto why you say that? Look the video!! It is a lot of food. People who has tuberculosis are those who work in the miner.
Las maravillas del peru
Hello...what work do you do that allows you become a nomad traveling the world. ? Thanks
I was saying that the we have corn like this in the US called indian Corn
Hope you guys are safe....
We are :) Hope you are as well!
#PERU 😍😍😍
YESSSSS

Not Basha, but Pacha. Pacha means earth in Quechua. Mama means mother. Pachamama :)
Enjoy your Chicha Morada!
Nice tour, the fruit that you didnt see before calls Dragon fruit, in english, if you go to any cninatown you can find it. But the way I am from Peru.
Its so good! We love that fruit!
01:07...it is PACHA MAMA!!!, not "basha mama", not "pacho mama", it is PACHA MAMA!!!...you have millions of Peruvians around you and you didn´t want to ask any of them how to write PACHA MAMA correctly....c´mon...put some will.
Esa es la verdadera realidad del Perú

12:49 You might want to refrain from turning your back towards people when you're speaking to them to talk to the camera. It's definitely considered rude in some cultures. I only say this because I notice you've done this in a few videos.
