Agreed. The only sizable optional area I remember exploring in any of the recent games (Wild Area doesn't count) was that hidden cave on Melemele Island in Sun/Moon, which was an enjoyable surprise. I missed it the first time around and went back when I saw a mention of it on a website.
What’s your favorite part from a Pokémon game The part where a flute player, a guitarist, a beat boxer, a flute player, and singer harmonize to one song
....... My dating life is doomed. Uh yeah my favorite band is Dir en Grey, a japanese heavy metal band and uh then here in my UA-cam list we have Vocaloid songs about Pokemon(very appealing for a 34 year old female as myself yes) and DEATH and of course we have the *O E I A U E U E A* Oh wait wait wait there's some reggeaton and Finnish folk music too wait *WHY ARE YOU RUNNING* Alexa, play Keiichi Ooishi No Uwasa Jikenbo ABC.
Even though Generation V had one of the most impressive storylines and music I've ever seen, the Pokemon, overall lack of complexity, and the linear feeling in the region is just so bad.
I don't have a problem with the Pokemon, and while the first two games were excessively linear I think B2/W2 fixes that to a degree by the sheer amount of things there is to do.

I just found them in the comments on another video of the Village Bridge. As far as I understood it it's based on a real song and the lyrics are from the real song since pretty much the only intelligeble parts are "tasogare ojaji" and "koishikute" due to the hardware limitations of the DS. Of course I can't verify if the lyrics are correct since they were posted in the comments. And it seems the original video I found it in has been deleted unfortunately..

Man the buildup of the four additions to the town's theme still just feels so so good. A young man beatboxing on the bridge A musician strumming his guitar A villager playing a leaf flute And the old man singing his heart out under the bridge.
This is probably the most beautiful place in all of Unova. It's just trully magical. A village on a bridge, its 1800's aesthetics, its history and overhaul its atmosphere, and the theme... it's so magical. If I were in the Pokemon world, and if I was a trainer, at the end of my adventure I would just move to Village Bridge till my last days...
So. This'll be yet another overlooked comment, which you, as a viewer, will scroll past, looking for more interesting comments. However, if you have the time to read what this odd Leafeon has to say, it'd be appreciated. Village bridge is based of Ponte Vecchio. This is an old, medieval bridge in Florence, Italy, over the Arno river. *Unova itself is based off New York, but you probably knew that.* _Village Bridge_, *as you also know*, is home to the _DARK_ musicians. That being, _Derleth_, the grass flute player. _Aickman_, the acoustic guitar player. _Russo_, the beatboxer. And _Koontz_, the Enka vocalist. These people have the same names as 4 real-life science-fiction writers. I also like to think that the Village Bridge is a sign of talent, due to the musicians all being together. Let us not forget that young girl practising her signing underneath the bridge. Village Bridge could also be a sign of peace. You know how Zangoose and Serviper are deadly enemies? Well, they'll fight together in the dark grass. Overall, I find Village Bridge to be a lovely place, and I'll often switch off my mind and listen to the music there. If you'd made it this far, here's a cookie *hands your favourite type of cookie over*. Have a great life! :)
You’ve really done a lot of research into this wonderful town and I think that’s really cool ^^ hope you’re just as informative and upbeat as you were a year ago
I was in the middle of playing this game when the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami happened. Everything became chaos for days, leading to weeks at the time, and Village Bridge always gave me a sense of peace and comfort. Even a little sadness. Whenever I hear this, it brings me right back to that time. It's one of my favorite themes in a game full of my favorites (I think Heart Gold and X&Y's soundtracks only just trail behind!). Truly magical, and how sad that they don't put this much care and detail into the games anymore.
My dog, Rocky, passed away recently at 16 years old. When i played this fantastic game for the first time, was also the period when we took him home. I'll always love you. Thank you for everything.
Sorry for your loss friend, what a beautiful coincedence to play the one pokemon gen which really focusses on pokemon not just being a tool but being an actual friend
The first time I came to the bridge I thought the music was really plain, til I started talking to people hahaha. I didn't know how it happened at first. I sat there listening to it for like an hour, just blown away. It's so beautiful. ;A;
Bro I'm not lying when I tell you that this song genuinely makes me cry. It's more than just nostalgia, it's the beautiful moments that I shared with very important people in my life. I had to sit for a while and cry listening to this remembering my life and my old friends. Moments that will never come back but that I keep in my heart
+JacksJack yeah, that is completely true. Pokemon world tournament, all the art from the bridges, full potential of the DS and those sprites with movement which i prefer than the 3D ones, The dream World, the mature history going against all the standards of pokemon and combat, N character and leaders gym. It was a brilliant game and sequel. And I can say that even since i started playing pokemon with gold and silver for gbcolor
+JacksJack took the words right out of my mouth. Sure, gen 5 might have had its flaws, but I'll never forget how immersed I felt the first time I played pokemon black. I have never felt that way about another gen. Some love it, some hate it, but I think gen 5 was hands down one of the best gens ever. top 3 in my opinion next to hoenn and kanto.
This song gives me nostalgia because Pokemon White was my first Pokemon game. I always played it ever since 2011 I have over 600 hours on it. Ah memories..
I really hate when people dis black and white. Whether it be the Pokemon or just how easy the game really is. I feel that Garbodor is an awesome Pokemon and is great in the competitive scen. And the music? Just like this song, it's all good not one song is bad.
Matthew Robbins Yeah, you have to have a lot of creativity to make a Pokemon out of trash, unlike the 4 different Pokemon that are actually just purple blobs with faces. We don't need any more of those.
I don’t know why, but if i were to live anywhere in the Pokémon world, it would be here. Something about all the fun sidequests and the chill vibe just made me never want to leave.
I love the idea of all these villagers, scattered around town, adding their own contributions to this song and filling the village with music that evokes the feeling of an old fashioned, tight knit community rich in local history and culture.
I remember. When i spend a half hour just running around that freaking bridge just to feel like iam from old days sitting on the bridge and staring at the sky with no reason.
I loved this spot, especially cause I used to fish for Lapras for hours and never got bored of this town. I'm 22 now and played these games when they came out. I'll always love gen 5
The best thing I've ever come across in the game! If someone told me before I knew that it was from a Pokémon game, I would not believe them. Thank you tons for uploading this ❤ (replaying the game now but I couldn't wait until I reached the Village bridge for this)
BW and BW2 are objectively the best titles of the entire franchise, they had what most of third versions and all the 3DS lacked, and that's ambition. Not only did BW1 attempt to offer an actual story, not the greatest ever made in the jRPG realm, but for sure the best ever done in Pokémon, with memorable characters and a believable criminal team that used politics and propaganda to convince the people into release their Pokémon by their own will, making themselves the most dangerous criminal organization we've encountered because, to half the region, they weren't even a threat, but saviors. In fact, from some point of view, you were the villain. Why? Because of the message they've stablished. By fighting against Team Rocket, Team Aqua, Magma, Galaxy, etc., no one had doubts, you were fighting against criminals, the evil. His message was also universally bad: "steal and sell Pokémon; erase the universe; demolish the world to make a new one". By fighting Team Plasma instead, you was unintentionally positioning yourself against "Pokémon freedom". This is something that happens everyday in our real word, people who decide over others by using the power of the word and who make you look bad for fighting their ideology, while in fact you are just being able to discern their lies. What makes Team Plasma even more beliveable as a criminal organization is that at least half of its members TRULY believed in Ghechis false morals. N being the most iconic example of this, taking the Pokémon freedom mantra to heart and giving his best to achieve said goal, which for Ghechis was only a piece of an evil agenda. Then, for a gameplay perspective, they were the most ambitious entrys ever made. They included 157 or 158 new mons, most of them were great and a lot of them redefined the metagame and became staples of what competitive Pokémon still is nowadays. But the ones that really shine in terms or content are BW2, the only pokémon games directed by Takao Unno. To this day, the only Pokémon games with Difficulty Selector, interchangeable between versions. The only true sequels after GSC, that took the story of past BW and continued it, developing charactesr you already know about. The east part of the region was so full of content that you had more things to do than in GSC Kanto. Lots of legendaries with ingame locations, interchangeable regis areas, white forest and black city and you could get both of them in the same game, a very well constructed minigame in form of Pokéwood, Pokémon Avenue, which to that day was by far the best way of training Pokémon, i spent tons of hours talking with ppl and evolving locals in there, Pokémon World Tournament with almost every leader and champion in the series to fight against, move tutors, actual prices for topping the battle towers (in black city and white forest you receive a shiny dratini or gible as a price for defeating the leader), and a extra location with a shiny haxorus as price for fulfilling the national dex. I still remember embarking overseas and discovering an abandoned ship, just to fight against Coloress in a cool post-game high level battle and receive an extra Master Ball. It has the seassons with parts of the map that changed in summer, winter... And you could fight N with 4 totally different teams based on which season you were. Fuck, u haven't even catch the main legendary by the time u see the credits.
You explained BW2's brilliance excellently. No Pokemon game since BW2 in 2012 has felt complete, let alone overstuffed with content like BW2 was. This is what you end up with when you don't rush a game: near-perfection.
Pikanyaasan you said it. I remember BW2 came out in my senior year and to this day I hold those games and this gen as the the true last Pokémon games that were absolutely phenomenal. Many blessings to you all.
Pokémon Black 2 was the first game I've bought day one because I was so hyped (I haven't played Black/White). I still remember how much excited and happy was, to me it felt like those games were perfect, the pinnacle of pokemon.
Sadly, I never got to play BW2. It came out in a gap year where I didnt keep up with game release news. By the time I realized it was out and heard good things about it, it was already too late. Now all the cartridges are expensive af to buy online. 🙁
This area inspired me to want to learn music as a kid, and I still play it on piano to this day. It is honestly the most genius use of music in the whole series, and it definitely needs more love.
This is beautiful. I tried to learn violin (keyword: tried) and just never stuck with it, but man when I tell you nothing inspired me to learn it more than the music from Pokémon.
Generation 5 is where pokemon peaked, in my honest opinion. The transition to 3D from 2D was a little weird, but good enough to satisfy the 13 year old i was when XY came out. Now that i am older, i wish more than ever to replay gen 3, 4 and 5 like the first time once again.
Although some of the infamous Pokemon debuted in this region, gen 5 will always be special to me, since it was my first Pokemon game. The music was amazing, with this as one of my favourite Pokemon songs of all the games. I really can't wait for the remakes of these games, when it's announced eventually, I'm gonna try my damnedest to get it as soon as possible. I remember when I first heard this song and found the people, I just sat there, and the only reason I went there was for the music (as most people did too)
Gen 5 wasn't my most favorite region, mostly because I thought that Black and White were very flawed. (AKA there was a Pokemon gym 8 cities in a row). I heard that B2/W2 are a drastic improvement, and I've also seen walkthroughs of it. Sadly, I have yet to play it since my family was in a financial struggle when it was released. However, despite the first BW's flaws, I really love the fact that you can build up the songs. This was one of my favorite features here. Oh, also the introduction of reusable TMs (God bless). If you haven't noticed, you can also build up the music in Accumula Town as well. Happy listening!
Gen V is my favorite and I've been playing since Pokémon Blue. I just love the characters, the story, music and overall feel of the Unova. About the infamous pokémon, every region has it's dumb pokémon, people lash out so bad on Unova because B/W don't let you get old poké;mon until the post game. I had fun catching and training things I didn't know shit about, but some people were extremely upset they couldn't make the same team they've used for the past 10 years and speed through the game with it.
I was at a low point in my Black 2 nuzlocke, with my team having been whittled down until only my Zoroark remained. I had never played this game with the music before, so when I reached Village bridge I was blown away by the soundtrack. Reinvigorated, I caught a Seviper carried on my journey.
Gen 5 is peak Pokemon Music. Love the creativity of adding instruments when talking/going near people with instruments, adding drums on route themes when walking, changing pitch when going deeper in cave theme, 4 different seasonal versions of route themes.
i found this song during a soullink. when me and my buddy were going through here and heard the singing man first, we almost cried running around finding the others. it was magical, and we looked it up, im pretty sure all the musicians are named after authors we stayed in the area for an absurd amount of time just running around, trying not to start any battles and risk interrupting the beautiful song. when we finally left the area it was like torture being dragged away and we ran back for another few minutes. we talk about it all the time as the most memorable and magical moment of our soullink
English: I am an old man, standing in the shadows; fascinated by seagulls. I am an old man, standing in the shadows; fascinated by seagulls. I am an old man, standing in the shadows; fascinated by seagulls. I am an old man, standing in the shadows; fascinated by seagulls. I considered the blue sea, I shed tears lamentanto and, while I miss the beautiful seagulls rise over the blue harbor. (not mine, i pasted them from a different vid)
Gen 6 was a major step back in Music and story, but I guess nothing can truly match of beauty of my 2nd favorite gen. Sinnoh is my favorite purely for nostalgia reasons please don't judge me...
I think someone from up above guided me to this video. I vaguely remember it from when I played Pokemon Black and White years ago (I remember the “ohuwuw-oh, lol) but for some reason I don’t remember being too crazy about the song. I had this strong thought in my head right now “go listen to Village Bridge from Pokemon” and I love it, I’ve been replaying it for the past 20 minutes. it’s a beautiful song, especially in the beginning.
sucks that we'll probably never get a feature like this let alone a pokemon game like this ever again. those cute little details that really make the world feel lived in that truly show the love and care and attention to detail put into them that has been thrown away in favour of rushed games. truly a terrible loss :(
It’s been over a decade since this game came out now. I had never known there was actual lyrics to this song. This game continues to amaze me in new ways, wow.
Just as talking to people in village bridge makes the music more enjoyable so to does meeting new people and sometimes just having a friendly chat with strangers can enrich our lives in ways that we never would have known we could come to cherish
No one will probably read this, but this song holds a very dear place in my memories. It reminds me of what I was going through at the time. I thought I was finished with Pokemon after gen 3, but eventually, the trailer for B/W 2 dropped and I became intrigued. I got myself a 3DS and a copy of White in anticipation of the sequel. I thoroughly enjoyed White and found its story to be refreshing for a Pokemon game. Never before had a compelling story attracted my interest over its gameplay. So when I beat the game, I was a bit skeptical about how they would be able to top it in the sequel. But I was wrong. Black 2 was everything I wanted and more. It had so many new features and the most post-game content we've ever gotten to this date. The story was just as good as its predecessor. I don't think I've experienced the same feeling of nostalgia during my playthrough of those two games since then.
BW2 was peak ambition for Gamefreak. Terrific sound design, incredibly packed postgame, lots of side activites to do aside from the main story (PokeStar Studios, musical, Entralink, AND Dream World), the largest amount of unique, exporable space we've ever had in a Pokemon game, and still a great story. There will never be another game like it unless they abandon the 3-year game development cycle.
This is all true, but what ruins it for me is the fudging encounter rate. I hate HATE HAATE running into Pokemon EVERY. SINGLE. STEP. It's like good lord go get a hobby, Frillish!
If I had a home in the Pokémon world, I would live in North-eastern Unova. So many memories spending time in areas between Opelucid City and Undella Town! :)
I'm really glad that this village had nothing to do with the plot or anything and was some random town that didn't even needed to be added in and yet it has easily one of the best tracks In pokemon along with the guy who's career you ruin multiple times (999 streak guy)
1:52 I love this game generation, not only it's my favorite and the first game that I played (so it's really special) but I think that it's one of the best about Plot, characters (for example even if Ghetsis was horrible he also was a good character because they made you both dislike him and like him because of his being a bad guy but well done, that's why as a Villain I think he's the best and I like him for that) while N was really an interesting character and all the music were just so good and I couldn't stop listening to them. The first time I reached certain places (like this one) I always stayed there to listen how gradually the music mixed together and it was so beautiful. I also love the song in the city near the Beach, the one "village" where Kyurem live and N's room/Castle (I didn't said the names of the cities because I have the Italian copy of the game so I don't know how the English names of the cities/village are) and I always stayed there to listen to them and sometime fell asleep with them. They were just so good that I left my Nintendo on and lay down on the bed just to listen to the music despite I was playing until a moment ago, but the music was so good that I couldn't stop from doing that. I think this is really the best game in my opinion but of course everyone can think about a game differently, however I like Pokémon Black and White 1 and 2 and I would like a remake (since they did the remake of the previous region) but at the same time I'm a bit afraid they would ruin it with a 3D remake. I would enjoy a remake of Black and White with the animation/drawing style of Pokémon Master more because I'm used to see them like that by now but I think it's also a good animation/drawing style and if they had more movements to the character and the chance of meet N with Hilbert/Hilda at least one time after the game instead of meeting him in the second game it would really beautiful since I want to meet him with the main character of the first game it would be great.
I remember only knowing the beatboxer and singer existed...I found the grass whistle next and then assumed the guitar player added. It was so magical...
Life lesson: talking to people is important.
unless u battlle them it is not
battle them is important too because that strengthen you.
Granny Knit so important
thanks granny
Thank you Granny Knit, very cool
BW: A literal bridge: has vocals
SWSH: A man literally singing in a cutscene: no vocals
Good thing SWSH sold well. Because GamefrEAk is gonna need to buy a lot of Burn Heals after that.
Sad
Gen 5 is great
Gen 6 is alright
Gen 7 is p cool
And Gen 4 also has great music
Haven't played Sw/Sh yet tho
The apex of Pokémon music is gen 4 & 5
Oh. My. Gosh. I legitimately stayed in this town on my first play through for 10 minutes just to hear this song. Gen 5 I love you
the best thing is that it doesnt turn off when u use surf or the bike is beautiful
Those are rookie numbers. I stayed here for hours.
I used to stay in that place for I'm assuming hours just listening to it, it made me feel good, still does
Best Pokémon OST Ever 🙇♂️
Same I just replayed white and stayed here for like 10 minutes because I didn’t know talking to them again stops them
I used to come to this area just to listen to the music. Good times.
Ex Team Rocket Grunt Same
+AwesomeGlaceon One of the best places in that game btw those 2 who disliked this video have to be deaf :/
***** Agreed
Ex Team Rocket Grunt dude same. This music is lit😩👌🔥
Ex Team Rocket Grunt Same! I just find myself walking through Unova just to listen to the region's music.
hate it when people hate on gen 5
Sorry but gen 6 gets hate too for only bringing in about a third of what gen 5 offered :/
true
It's just the gen 5 anime that's bad. The gen 5 games are amazing!!!! ^_^
In My Opinion, Gen 5 Is The Best Pokemon Generation (Even If Gen 6 Had The Better Designed Pokemon Like Greninja And Female Meowstic). The Story Is Just So Well Done, And N Is Such An Interesting Character. It also Helps That It Was My First Pokemon Game.
I started on Gen 4, but Gen 5 will always be my baby and I will not hear any hate towards it

So true
Black and white was extremely linear though, more than X and Y. It’s just that there’s a bunch of side areas.
@@MaiiUnhallowed In Black/White only. In Black 2/White 2, the game isn't that linear anymore
@@danielcm4237 The path is certainly longer with even more side areas, and theres ALOT of different places in the post game.
Reasons to like gen 5 in a nutshell.
1. Hella good story.
2. Hella good visuals
3. HELLA GOOD MOOSIC.
4: Pokemon World Tournament
5: Pokestar Studios
6: HELLAAA details
7. The Bug type buff
@DB8495 It Rough, it irritating and it gets everywhere
What’s your favorite part from a Pokémon game
The part where a flute player, a guitarist, a beat boxer, a flute player, and singer harmonize to one song
Lmfao
😂😂vibez
I'm gonna be the one to help this comment become 1k :)
You said flute player twice
This song makes me homesick for a place I’ve never been to.
I thought the same exact thing.
oh but you have been there.
Now it makes sense
I believe that word is called “wistful”.
You ever played Gen 5? In that case you've been there before. You experienced that place firsthand.
“So what kind of music do you listen to?”
Me: It’s complicated
video game music is what I would say, or folk music if you were caught listening to this song.
This gen was the pinnacle for me. BW2 came out in my senior year and that was the last that I truly enjoyed this series like a child
the correct awnser is : OOOEEEAAAA UOUUAAH PSKPSKPSKSPAPSKSPSK

I feel really... homesick.
:c
Me too! And i _am_ at home? So....
Exactly! And I’m like a two minute walk away from my house, like wth?
Because our real home is Village Bridge
I feel deep nostalgia 😧
Gen 5 is hands down the best generation.
Gen 5 is cancer
It's gen 3 for me. Gen 5 is mixed.. I hate it but love it..
Black 2 and white 2 yes... Otherwise no. Pokemon xD and sinnoh are great too
Figured I'd bring the lyrics over since no one has mentioned them yet

Link?
I do understand a little Japanese and it seems legit
Can I ask where you got those lyrics? If they are true, it's quite muffled. I do speak Japanese though, by the way.
And it seems the original video I found it in has been deleted unfortunately..
the lyrics are actually ♫ └༼ຈل͜ຈ༽┐♫ O E A E A U I E O E A ♫ └༼ຈل͜ຈ༽┐ ♫

Got my first shiny here too ^^
My blue braviary
I found my first shiny it was right before u entered striaton city it was a shiny audino.
I killed my first shiny lol
Man the buildup of the four additions to the town's theme still just feels so so good.

*Unova itself is based off New York, but you probably knew that.*
_Village Bridge_, *as you also know*, is home to the _DARK_ musicians.
Thanks for the trivia!
A Naive Leafeon thanks! That was a great fact!

Gen 5's music is the best for me because of how they went all out with the unity theme, even in the music itself.

The first time I came to the bridge I thought the music was really plain, til I started talking to people hahaha. I didn't know how it happened at first. I sat there listening to it for like an hour, just blown away. It's so beautiful. ;A;
A moment of silence for those who have played Black & White. But never talked to this npc, and got to hear this beautiful song..
I remember this. This was so special
So special my last save was done here, as in: "their story ended here for now, it's time to rest"
Forever grateful for existing at the same time at this game when I was young
Gen 5, the best and everlasting journey for me. Hands down Pokémon. You did a great job. Looking forward to the remake in a couple of years!
+Tu vecina Antikachu 2021*
Games, yes. Anime, hell no.
Black and White already had their remakes.
This song gives me nostalgia because Pokemon White was my first Pokemon game. I always played it ever since 2011 I have over 600 hours on it. Ah memories..
Never forget!
Not my first one. But definitely the one I put the most hours into!
Before I buried my pokemon black, my last save was here, when I reopened it the other day and heard this. I shed a tear. The best theme
I really hate when people dis black and white. Whether it be the Pokemon or just how easy the game really is. I feel that Garbodor is an awesome Pokemon and is great in the competitive scen. And the music? Just like this song, it's all good not one song is bad.
Cezar Salad The pokemon you're defending is a literal bag of rubbish
Matthew Robbins Yeah, you have to have a lot of creativity to make a Pokemon out of trash, unlike the 4 different Pokemon that are actually just purple blobs with faces. We don't need any more of those.
Most people probably only diss pokémon black and white just because of the show
In my opinion, Pokemon BW was a challenge even the fricking Elite 4
Dude, Black and White 2 was the most challenging Pokemon game in existence, not to mention the PTW was so awesome
I don’t know why, but if i were to live anywhere in the Pokémon world, it would be here. Something about all the fun sidequests and the chill vibe just made me never want to leave.
Back when Gamefreak still cared.
Now they couldn’t give a damn less.
@@CrazyDiamond419 Gamefreak pull all their best to this game and it still got hated so they just stopped and quit and made the 3d games lazy.
When I discovered the Accumula town pianist, I talked to everyone with musical instruments... NO REGRETS
We didn't realize how good Gen 5 was to us until pokemon actually got worse.
The hell you guys talking about they never cared
I love the idea of all these villagers, scattered around town, adding their own contributions to this song and filling the village with music that evokes the feeling of an old fashioned, tight knit community rich in local history and culture.
This is by far my most rememberable sound of Black&White. So nostalgic and satisfying. I do hope in a future remake of gen 5 to hear it again!
まさかこんなに懐かしくなるとは
I remember sneaking my DS in my bedroom late at night just to spend my time singing or Humming along until I'd fall asleep
So many memories...
Hopefully they're still good ones 💚
Hands down one of the best Pokemon songs
The best thing I've ever come across in the game! If someone told me before I knew that it was from a Pokémon game, I would not believe them.
Thank you tons for uploading this ❤
(replaying the game now but I couldn't wait until I reached the Village bridge for this)
BW and BW2 are objectively the best titles of the entire franchise, they had what most of third versions and all the 3DS lacked, and that's ambition.

1:51 That ad lib though.
This is probably my favorite moment in any of the Pokemon games. I love them all, but this just gives me emotion that no other scene in the games can.
This Game, this Generation, this Music, this Region...
It will never get old... i Love it so much, for me the best Pokémon Game ever.. by far!
The amount of nostalgia contained within this song is enough to bring me to tears.
so many memories through my mind of my favorite pokemon journey
B2/W2 is fantastic!
Good to know
I dont know why there is something special in this place, the music, the atmosphere, kind of magical
Nostalgia: increases
This video seriously needs at least a hundred times more views than it has. Seriously one of the best tracks in video games, period.
Gen 5 is peak Pokemon Music. Love the creativity of adding instruments when talking/going near people with instruments, adding drums on route themes when walking, changing pitch when going deeper in cave theme, 4 different seasonal versions of route themes.
This one might be the most underrated of the entire game. Gives me chills even now. Gen 5 was awesome.
I love you for uploading this that really brings back memory’s and i even droped a manly tear
Haha
Me too! Even though Gen 5 isn't my favorite, I can't get enough of the song itself. It's amazing!
i found this song during a soullink.
when me and my buddy were going through here and heard the singing man first, we almost cried running around finding the others. it was magical, and we looked it up, im pretty sure all the musicians are named after authors
we stayed in the area for an absurd amount of time just running around, trying not to start any battles and risk interrupting the beautiful song. when we finally left the area it was like torture being dragged away and we ran back for another few minutes.
we talk about it all the time as the most memorable and magical moment of our soullink

I listen to this every day, brings back so many memories. Great song!
I think someone from up above guided me to this video. I vaguely remember it from when I played Pokemon Black and White years ago (I remember the “ohuwuw-oh, lol) but for some reason I don’t remember being too crazy about the song. I had this strong thought in my head right now “go listen to Village Bridge from Pokemon” and I love it, I’ve been replaying it for the past 20 minutes. it’s a beautiful song, especially in the beginning.
i would leave my ds plugged in playing this while i did my homework way back when.. :')
sucks that we'll probably never get a feature like this let alone a pokemon game like this ever again. those cute little details that really make the world feel lived in that truly show the love and care and attention to detail put into them that has been thrown away in favour of rushed games. truly a terrible loss :(
It’s been over a decade since this game came out now. I had never known there was actual lyrics to this song. This game continues to amaze me in new ways, wow.
You made this 8 years ago, but are still replying to comments, thats amazing. This is a great video.
This has only started picking up a steady increase in views in the last year or so, I assume from nostalgia. BW is timeless.
Most beautiful and peaceful town in pokemon
thanks oshawott, you helped bring about some of the most joyous memories and moments while i was a kid
I couldn’t remember anything name wise about this song so I searched “pokemon black white old man song” and thank god it came up lmao
Back again but this time I googled “Pokémon bridge song” lol
Year 10 dreaming of having Pokémon games as good as this
Makes me feel emotional
This song make me wanna cry, but I don't cry if tht makes sense
It makes me wanna cry and I do cry
This is single handedly the reason why gen 5 is better than gen 6. That and other reasons...
I don't think single-handedly means what you think it means. But I concur.
BW and B2/W2 had better music and a better plot than XY.
This is all true, but what ruins it for me is the fudging encounter rate. I hate HATE HAATE running into Pokemon EVERY. SINGLE. STEP. It's like good lord go get a hobby, Frillish!

Broke up with my girlfriend, went home and put some music on. This was the first song to play and now I cry every time I hear it. Thanks, Pokemon
Why did you break up with her?
If I had a home in the Pokémon world, I would live in North-eastern Unova. So many memories spending time in areas between Opelucid City and Undella Town! :)
my favorite song of the entire franchise
The amount of times I’d go to this town, talk to all of them, lay down, place my DS on my chest, and close my eyes as i relax...
I'm really glad that this village had nothing to do with the plot or anything and was some random town that didn't even needed to be added in and yet it has easily one of the best tracks In pokemon along with the guy who's career you ruin multiple times (999 streak guy)
1:52
I love this game generation, not only it's my favorite and the first game that I played (so it's really special) but I think that it's one of the best about Plot, characters (for example even if Ghetsis was horrible he also was a good character because they made you both dislike him and like him because of his being a bad guy but well done, that's why as a Villain I think he's the best and I like him for that) while N was really an interesting character and all the music were just so good and I couldn't stop listening to them.
Oh this takes me back to my childhood. Staying up late playing this, then falling asleep to this song.
I remember only knowing the beatboxer and singer existed...I found the grass whistle next and then assumed the guitar player added.
It was so magical...
