My name is Kaiya Pelletier and I am documenting my metal journey as I discover and listen to metal music for the first time ever. I'm in my mid 20's and I've been a singer songwriter and performer for over 10 years. Currently I live in Stillwater, Oklahoma and I am in the process of recording my 4th album. I have a Bloodhound named Spooner, I love Mexican food, collecting Stephen King novels, collecting CD's and cassettes and my favorite movies are tied between Jurassic Park and Alien.

The greatest band of all time
I was at this show. Still the greatest I've ever experienced in my entire life.
People can't pretend to dislike the justice album just cause someone told them there's no bass. No one seemed to notice until someone mentioned the missing bass. All of a sudden everyone was disappointed in their favorite álbum
100% agreed. The no bass issue didn’t become a thing until YEARS after the release of the album.
Spot fucking on. We all LOVED Justice as teenagers when it came out!
I really don't f*cking care and i think Lars was right. No bass made the sound aggressive. Which is very fitting sound for the album.
From Germany ..... The fact is that everyone will still know this band in 100 years. It doesn't matter whether someone likes (Metallica) or not. Doesn't matter at all.
da sagste was Kollege! Sepultura - "Under Siege Tour" - Barcelona ist das einzige was diese Performance meiner Meinung nach toppt!
This entire concert was amazing. If you get a chance to watch the entire show, definitely do it! This was Metallica in peak form at their absolute best.
Sepultura live in Barcelona 1991 is great
94 Donnington >
Blackened or Battery from this same show would be a solid choice. Otherwise I second the dude that said Sepultura Barcelona '91, maybe Intro/Arise or Dead Embryonic Cells.
I attended both nights in Seattle on this tour; August 29 and 30. 1989. Two of the most amazing concerts I have ever been to.
never been more jealous on someone commenting on youtube, happy for u tho lol
@@4T_Wh1plashhh Thank you. It truly was an experience. Seen so many shows over the years; but these shows were amazing.
I never knew they played 2 nights. Similar set list?
So jealous… I’d love to have seen that tour because for me there would be a 100 percent chance that I would love every single song.
@@shiscarp Same set list both nights; due to the fact they were filming. Just in case a song sounded better on a particular night, or there were mistakes.
That intro you said you loved was a song called To live is to die. No lyrics just the band playing and it's there late bassist who died 2 years earlier last contribution. Definitely listen to it. It's beautiful will make u cry.
Cliff Burton was the best and still missed by all. A legend!
This is great,Jason came along way since auditioning for the band in 1986,after having to prove himself, but Before Master Of Puppets,And Justice For All or The Black Album,Metallica were already headlining and playing to sold out arenas, and two of thier best live performances were with Cliff in 1985 performing The Four Horsemen and Seek and destroy,at the Metal Hammer fest in Germany, one year before his tragic death, both are on the Cliffem All video, and here on youtube.
Live, Metallica was at their peak during the Justice tour. I guess partly because their first four albums are so amazing.
I love this reaction. Someone asked Kirk Hammet in an interview what his favorite track was from Master of Puppets; he said “The Thing That Should Not Be” stood out to him because that was downtuned, and therefore sonically heavy or heavier. They performed that in this live gig; I put that one on repeat and shared it with friends, so freaking heavy to me. ❤
Just about the heaviest number known to mankind"
Kirk recently said in an interview with Rick Beato that circumstances forced him to write the solo for Thing in 45 minutes. Super stressful but he got it done.
The statue is Lady Justice. Depending on your interpretation, she wears a blindfold and holds the scales to represent impartiality. This was from their "And Justice For All..." tour. The album cover depicts Lady Justice with broken scales to symbolize the corrupt justice system.
Doris!
I know wayy too much about this band😂😂😂
I've seen Metallica 5 times and every time it been amazing
This is prime best metallica. I wish you could react to Battery and Whiplash from this concert.
The two best songs from that concert imo
The era 83-89 is the wildest metallica and the fastest was in 1986 Toronto
But hammer festival 85 was the best voice from james in mine opinion
Just the high distortion in his voice like no remorse, for whom the bell tolls
disposable heroes where they played it for the first time it’s amazing
hammer 85 james got the angriest narliest voice.. lethal lol..
I saw them on this tour and it was absolutely amazing. I was 17 years old and it just blew my mind. I had a buzz from the show for a week afterwards (and ringing in my ears for three days).
Hi imakaiya, hell to the yeah on an entire 89 Seattle show review on however you see fit, have a great weekend & many blessings always...
Metallica live Seattle 89 should be and mostly definitely is part of every metalhead’s journey
I was there for the first of the 2 nights as a 16 year old kid. What an amazing show!
I definitely think this was their best performance of MoP. As for their best overall concert, I still think Moscow 1991 was better overall, especially with the atmosphere of 1.6 Million people there!
To quote Jason during Whiplash: "Here we go!!!"
Kaiya, this will be legendary.
i recommend watching the 1992 San Diego version of Creeping Death and The Four Horseman. i rarely see people react to those specific ones but they have so much energy and they are personally my top favorite performances
yeah, amazing backing vocals on Creeping Death by Jason
No 83-88 was the best voice from james
I did see Metallica live once in 1988 in LA; it turned into semi-chaos because the audience went nuts.
lucky bastard,
Beautiful song, Gorgeous Kaiya 🌹
Everyone who considers themselves metal heads must watch the entire concert. They were the best of the best and nobody could touch them. So please do a complete reaction to the whole show. You will be doing yourself a favor ❤
i love how you kept in the “that is so fetch” thing
I was lucky enough to see this concert live in a few different cities as a teen, & it was amazing on every stop of the tour. Biloxi, MS however was different. That specific show, with The Cult (who were literally fall-down drunk btw) might be the best metal concert I have ever seen in my life.
Another amazing live performance is "Creeping Death" Live from Moscow 1991
Metallica at it's peak.
Creeping Death in Moscow 1991 🤘
I'm a pro level drummer and have talked a lot of shit on Lars Balls'itch over the years but in short I will say that he's not the douchey guy he used to be. His drumming has certainly gotten worse over the years but I will state that he's among the most influential drummers in history as well as an absolute showman. His black and white Tama Granstar kit is the most iconic metal kit ever. Him and Dave Lombardo are the reason I play Tama... a 10pc Artstar Custom. Lars' technical skills was his weakpoint but he sure had a very distinct and memorable style that worked so well with James' music. So many fancy drummers don't have that. The Black Album will teach any drummer the fundamentals in spades. It did for me. I know some technical metal drummers who struggle to play those songs with the same character and feel. Every single hit counts and needs to be on the money.
Excelente reacción y por favor 🙏🏻 Mas reacciones a ese concierto tan epico🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
my favorite metallica concert
I just found your channel. If you haven’t already you should watch Metallica in Moscow 1991. Over 1 million n attendance. Absolutely wild
React to more from this concert please
I drove from CT to Seattle to go to this concert
Great "Master of Puppets solos".
Hell Yeah!!! 🔥🤘🔥
Indeed, no one could touch them in those years. Metallica are Metallica, for the bad and for the legendary.
lyceum theater call of ktulu 1984, December 10th
You need to watch the entire show. It really was incredible.
@imakaiya where did you get that slayer shirt ?
i haved watch the entier concert over than 666 times.🤟 Good review and comments 👌
At this time the rock music world was wild. Nobody saw that the end was near, nobody. The 89-91 was the last breath when MTV brought the Unplugged. That was a bad medicine 💀and they were drinking until the last drops. Sad
YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO ONE ON THIS PERFORMANCE!
You need to react to Metallica Enter Sandman 1991 in Moscow. 1.6 million people in attendance
You should totally react to The Thing That Should Not Be from the same concert, it's so good! Heaviest song/performance ever! James vocals in the second half in particular are chilling
Yes, Jason's introduction of the song is badass too!
James voice sounds amazing in 72 Seasons.
well... Lars is very good here. He's a very cool drummer here.
I wouldn't say that this version is the best, but yes, it's definitely one of the best.
There is live versions with Cliff that are way better, this version is just better known an has video.

Brutal. ...! YASSS 😊 just thrashin flawlessly
You need to review the following metal bands: pungent stench and disastrous murder i think you would love these two bands.
It’s the best tour 1989
I was there at that show in Vancouver
The cult opened in 1989 when I was 19
I still have my long hair and it’s a full head of hair
Metallica was like : this is my brother JASON, this is my other BROTHER KIRK, my NAMES JAMES .. and this is my other brother LARS : and god was like YAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!😂❤
🤘
To live is to die... Rip Cliff
Check out injustice for all at this same concert, and see what happens to the statue 🗽🗿🔥
Yeah that statue was called Doris
I saw Megadeth on the Peace Sells tour in 1987 ish. I was on the Megadeth side (in case you're new, there was a divide back then.), so i didnt listen to Metallica till a couple years later.
The official live shit: binge and purge, monsters of rock (tushino airfield) Moscow, Quebec Magnetic.
They were at their peak that time..
Have you listened to J-Metal yet? I suggest you try Lovebites. They touch on a few genres, like power metal, thrash, hard rock, power ballads and even prog. They have many great songs and stellar live performances. You may want to start with Set the World on Fire.
This whole concert is epitome of thrash
THE BEAST AT THEIR BEST.
Greatest band of all time
Watch the whole show and you'll see that the statue 'gets involved' lol
The biggest and the best band in the world 🤟😎
I notice you love drums... you should check out Danny Carey of Tool drum cam of the track Pneuma you will love it
Killer, like number 900!!! Sweet
Do all the songs
The thing that should not be is another one you should check out from 89 seattle!!
Did the Creeping Death Live in Moscow 1991 yet?
nice Aborted record. i don't have that one but i've seen them live three times. great live band. the first time i saw them was at a club in Reading PA. the loudest fuckin show i've ever been to. my head felt like it was under water for three days
Merci !
Do metallica videos and you will always have many views
Oh how the mighty have fallen...
And is it just me or does Jason also get shafted in screen time for this show?
James Hetfield imo is one of the best guitar players ever
Hello Kaiya
Metallica is the greatest metal group that was formed. And you’re very beautiful lady as well.😍🤗❤️😘🔥🥰
no cellphones
metallica fans in seattle be like: nirvana who??
NO NO NO WAIT, YOU have to watch BATTERY from the same Show. Specially towards the end of the song when James says Ba-tte-ry GO! Please watch that. it's pure metal!
Metallica master of puppets sounds okay?
Woww, can't believe some "metalhead" said that shit.
The first time i listen to the album, it blew my minds away... whatever
No. Moscow 1991
Guns 92 Freddy death show all guns
In intro that space between James and Jason is Cliff's spot.
Pfft… doesn’t like AJFA.
If she didn’t hear the story about the bass being turned down and just listened to it with unbiased ears I doubt she would have this opinion.
I don’t think she knows that the intro guitar harmonies is taken from To Live is to Die which is of course on Justice.
No, metallica best live perfomance is Toronto 1986
I mean yea that 1986 show was good but man this 1989 was just something else just saying
i think you CANNOT apreciate this performance and aggresion without testosterone!!! in other words it 's a waste to show women this kind of peak performances....
Them drums are loud as fuk.
Dog : Metallica? Aite, I'm out...
…I agree with, “I wished they still had that passion”. That is what has been lacking since the Black Album.
Completely wrong, sure they don't play with this energy anymore but they're 60 and for a band at this age releasing music as good as 72 seasons is beyond incredible imo. They all still have massive passion and drive to deliver high quality music and concerts, to say they don't have passion or have missed since the black album is a bit ridiculous.
@@JaradS99 …I understand your point but we can’t use the age as an excuse for Metallica. Testament, Kreator, Metal Church, Overkill, Venom, are just as old as Metallica and still play a little more aggressive than Metallica. Great you like 72 seasons, but for me it is boring and lyrics and drumming are uninspired and lazy, that why in my opinion, it sounds like a black album wannabe mix with load albums. If that’s your thing, cool. No ill will, to each is there own…
@fullalbumsmetalchannel3153 …I couldn’t say it any better. I love Metallica since 86, loved even the load era, but I’m not a fanboy that can’t think for himself and loves everything Metallica turns out. I love my family but that doesn’t mean I agree with everything they believe in. That’s what fans can’t understand, and they think it’s hate…
