I saw Eddie and Buddy at the Palace back in 1967. Actually, Carrie had Eddie's eyes, miss Eddie and Carrie, may they both rest in peace. Thanks for posting this, it brings back some great memories.
It's because he COULDN'T keep time OR sing with consistency. Read the book titled "The Box" and you'll find out what a chore it was to even have him record a sing.
Eddie Fisher why did you get involved with this terrible musical episode. It's not the kind of music associated with your unique golden voice at its peak many decades ago. Your vocal chords seem to be rough & in low gear, & way past its peak. I think your are still suffering the after effects of liz Taylor's interrruptions. Golden poignantly sobering words in respect of a former great romantic ballad singer, by Peter E. Farrar.
There's no denying that Eddie Fisher had a great voice.
Eddie Fisher was such a class act; best voice in the business; and a stage presence of a true professional !!!
Eddie Fisher....one of my favorite singers ....loved his voice (and he was soooooo cute!)🤩
I loved Eddie Fisher he had a lovely voice, also he was so nice to look at.
Eddie could really sing. The orchestra had a time keeping up with him.
We forget what a ‘total’ Performer Mr. Fisher was....🥴
Got Carrie's eyes.

He seems a bit nervous or? awkward? Still sounds great though and he gave that orchestra a real workout!
Sounded a bit bored with the song. He did sing it many times.

Who wrote that book? I am interested
Nice voice, but bizarre tempo that lacks rhythm.
