Fans reflect on last day of successful 2019 Rugby World Cup

- After six weeks of tackles, tries, tears and triumphs across the country, the 2019 Rugby World Cup concluded on Nov. 2 as the Springboks of South Africa defeated England 32-12 to claim their third world title.
We asked supporters outside International Stadium Yokohama about their experiences at the tournament, their hopes for the legacy of the World Cup, and how the representatives of the southern hemisphere shut down Eddie Jones' England.

I spent 37 days at the RWC saw 9 games and lost 2 more to the typhoon. I traveled from Sapporo to Oita and a lot in between and I loved every minute, thank you so much Japan for being an amazing host and I will be back again for either a Sunwolves or Blossoms game!!!

Japan are the quintessential hosts. Gracious in victory or defeat, passionate, hardworking to the end. I am really looking forward to the Tokyo Olympics, especially the Rugby 7's! Get Jamie Joseph on the case!!
I really hope japan has caught a bit of rugby fever, I'd love to see Japan now emerge as one of the great rugby nations. Don't let that amazing hard work and momentum die down, put that energy and focus into youth rugby. Maybe rugby might even surpass Baseball as japan's favorite sport.. ? I would love to see that! And World Rugby needs to repay Japan for their amazing hospitality by creating a tournament which will allow Japan, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa to regularly play against tier 1 nations.

CRY (´；ω；`)ｳｯ… まあ日本人はこういうイベント時とかハロウィンの時とかはめちゃオープンになるから。文化・言語・人種・慣習も全然違う国なだからなかなか共有しあえるものがないんだけど、こういう共通の価値観を共有し合えるものでは、すごく日本は他国と団結できると思う。それが見れて嬉しかったです、

日本人だけではあんなに盛り上げることは不可能だけど、外国人のお陰で盛り上がる事ができたね。
@@user-eh2ff1er8d 謙虚とか協調性は抜群なんだけどねー。あと忍耐力とか冷静さとかそういうのも。それは日本人の誇りだと言ってもいいけど、自己主張がなさすぎ。とにかく周囲と事を荒立てるのは「だめ」というのの無意味な徹底さとかね。
やはりそこはTPOに合わせて変わるべきだと思うなー。まあ日本の在り方とか教育に多分に影響はあるけど、「自分が自分がー」というのは他国のマネをして欲しくないけど、しかし適度で場を踏まえた自己主張の力を持つことは、今後の日本には必要で問われていくと思う。
今回の大会は、日本人と海外のﾗｸﾞﾋﾞｰﾌｧﾝの方々のいいところがミックスされていい大会になったんだと思う。海外ファンだけでもまたこんなにならなかったと思うな。
とにかく日本の実行員会やｽﾀｯﾌの方々はものすごく頑張られたと思うので、心から感謝したいです。

Well as a non rugby fan japan was the only side i watched that got me interested in the game then i watched that last game the final was so boring. Ill keep on supporting japan rugby because they keep the ball in play but the rest to boring for me, to many kicks for goals.

How could someone consider this world cup, a succesful one??? Three games have been canceled out, anthems were only instrumental at stadium stations, teams like Samoa didn't come with the best team, this because World Rugby fails to persuade national club leagues to pause their games during world cup, however I feel that in 2023 we'll have the best rugby world cup edition
