I'm so happy you decided to do another snow scene. A very beautiful painting.I'll definitely going to give it a go.
Thank you Paul for everything you have done for us this year. It's more than we could expect. You are a great teacher who makes painting achievable for everyone, which is why you never lose your motivation as a learner. Thanks again and have a very Happy and Merry Christmas with your family and friends. Take care 🎄💖!
You are so welcome and a Happy Christmas to you too!!
When I was a little girl I couldn’t wait for Saturdays when Bob Ross would paint “happy little birds” on his paintings. I would be amazed by how the paint could make a scene appear on a blank canvas. Plus Bob’s joy at painting was tangible. Now as a middle aged woman I find myself looking forward to Wednesdays in the same way. Watching you paint is a joy. Seeing the blank canvas come to life is always magical. Every detail makes such a difference. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Ahhh, that's such a nice comment Jacqueline - thanks for all your support over the last year and have a great Christmas!
Thank you for sharing beautiful landscape works. Always be happy and healthy!
I've never had any art in my life, I'm a beginner but I have just picked up some amazing stroke from your work, thank you. I'm 88
Everyone has someone who inspires him/her! For me - it's you.
Ahhh, that's very nice - thanks Vero!
I share your appreciation of Ronald Hilder and I am sure he would approve of your deft interpretation in your lovely painting. Thank you and happy Christmas to you and yours.

Thanks for the painting and for introduction to Rowland Hilder💓merry days be yours
Cheers to your dad for keeping inspiration in your world. Tell him we appreciate him and his son. Merry Christmas Paul.
Thanks Kimberly and you too 🤩
Dear Paul I don't get tired toi sée you paint, thank you
Thank you so much 😀
It calms me so down watching you paint.
I thought your accent was of Kent. I am a woman of Kent and woe betide the person who calls me
Kentish. I love Rowland Hilder's work and have two of his books languishing on my bookshelf. Thank you Paul for giving me the courage to try to paint this great painting. Thank you for sharing your skills with us x
Beautiful scene. I really love it. Inspiration from Rowland really turned out amazing. You are awesome Paul!
It always looks so effortless AND perfect when your paintings come to life ... Sigh! I wish you and your family all the best for the upcoming festivities! ♥️😁🤗🇩🇪
Thank you! You too! 🤗🇩🇪
I love this. Roland Hilder is my favourite watercolourist.
Thank you! Cheers! - mine too!
My wonderful husband just gave me your book for Christmas. I love it. I love that you show the stages of your example paintings. It is such a great reference for me.
Thank you so much Jan!
Can’t wait to try this one Paul. Just want to tell you how much I appreciate you printing the colors across the page and the percentages of each. As a beginner I find it easier to follow. I also just love that you use the same basic colors. Other artists will rattle off so fast all kinds of paint colors yay I don’t have and o find it confusing to try and match. Your instruction is Simple and easy to follow. Thank you !!! Merry Christmas.
Hallo Paul, I have always liked Roland Hilder's work. This is a lovely picture.
Agree Jackie - he is the master!
Thank you for keeping us all sane during the pandemic. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year
I always enjoy the music that accompanies your videos. Love the snow scene!
Glad you enjoy it Judy!
Oh so pleased winter scenes are not over 🎄
Cheers Jan! 🎄
Wow! Great tutorial as always! Tomorrow I' m going to have 3 very busy hours. A lot of gratitude Paul 🙏
yesterday I decided to give up painting. Today I watched your video and decided not to do it and to give myself one more chance. Thaaaaaaaaaaank you, Clark-super-inspirer!
This painting is awesome. I love the light and dark contrast. Thank you!
Thank you! Cheers!
Lovely winter scene, thanks again! Came here for the painting, inexplicably got overexcited when the "now we need to let this totally dry" line hits :D
Glad you enjoyed it! - it's my favourite part!
Lovely!
Lovely! 😻
Brilliant. Thank you
Gorgeous!♥️♥️♥️
Dear Man of Kent ~ You’ve inspired me on two counts: never to live again where it snows and to get to work making a “manky brush.” Happy holidays to you and yours. 2022 has to be a lucky year💁🏼♀️🍀(yes, I’m told I’m 1/4 Irish ~ which explains a lot!). Cheers!
Always look forward to seeing your next video!!! Loved this snow scene and love to learn from every one of your new techniqus you teach!! I've gotten more from watching you and a few other UA-cam artists than I learned in college!!! Please keep painting!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Beautiful scenery!
That turned out really nice Paul. I love it. It looks different than your usual paintings.

Thank you so much 😀
Another lovely painting of the season. How I long to return to the UK once the pandemic allows for safe travels. In the meantime, art transports me figuratively. Thank you!
My pleasure David, keep in touch 😊
OMG! I used to have that book when I was living in Belfast! I didn't realise it was sort of famous!
Lol!!! - yes he's def famous!
Thanks a lot Paul, that's a very nice painting and tutorial, as always. Glad you chose to do another snow scene! Thanks for introducing Rowland Hilder. I also like that you add the actual painting time in the end, it makes me feel better when I spend several hours painting one of your tutorial! Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas.
Thanks a bunch Eric and a great Christmas to you too!
Just done this, i bet old Roland will turn in his grave when he sees my effort ! thank you for all your delightful tutorials, have a nice holiday and a safe and happy new year
Lol! David ... I bet he would be chuffed!
One of my favourites ever Paul and that is quite a statement. I own a copy of the book you were looking through and think, if he were able to tell you, Roland Hilder would say he was proud of you and this painting. It is just stunning. Thanks you so much for this wonderful demo. Wishing you and yours a very happy and peaceful Christmas and all the best for 2022. Thank you for your immense generosity in contributing to the sanity of all during this past year 🙂
Very very beautiful !! Lovely winter atmosphere!!! Thank you Paul !!

I am an acrylic painter and loved your water color painting. Merry Christmas to you too 😘
Just love this!!
Cheers Dean!
Thank you and have a Merry Christmas!
I love artists who give appreciation to others.
You should have a LOVE button instead of Like. This just touches my inner being.. sounds strange but that's the only way I can express it
Wow amazing 👍👍
Dagsê Paul. As I'm from South Africa and no one has a cooking clue what a hobs dryer is, let alone in a snow scene, I decided to make it South African and change the hobs dryers into maize silo's and the snow the colours you get where maize is grown. It is still in earth tones that I love. IT LOOKS FANTASTIC AND ALREADY SOLD!!!!!!!
It's hops and it's what gives English beer it's great taste 🍺🍺
I’m so glad you did another winter scene. This one was fun. Thanks as always to you and Margot for all you do for us. Happy new year!
Your sharing is so good. Everything is perfect. The light and colors are so beautiful. Amazing ! 😍😍😍💞💞💞💞💞
Thank you so much 🤗
I enjoy following your videos very much! It is so much fun to add the pastel for the highlights! What a difference they make. I think I need to order a rigger brush.
Stunning thank you merry Christmas to you both
Just amazing! Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!
Oh I really like your manky brush! I will have to give that a try. Thank you for the wonderful video, as always.
I'm another fan of Hilder and really enjoyed this, I was expecting you to scrape out that fence in the foreground but the gouache works. I was a friend of Ron Ranson before he died a few years ago and he really enjoyed Hilder's work. That's how I found out about it. On my last trip to England we toured Kent. Would love to go back. Looking forward to more videos.
Thanks Mike - great to hear!
Love your art! Always pleasurable to watch your videos.

Thank you Paul for all of the masterful work and serenity you’ve provided this year. Happy Christmas!
