These type of videos are so interesting. To see what is available in software and tools is exciting. But of course the person designing and implementing is the heart of the project.
Nice work and very innovative! I’ve found using a reciprocating saw works the best to knock out the air bubbles and allow the concrete to settle in my builds. 👍🏼
I fully expected to be the 50th person here to remark that you should have made the two smaller pieces as a single piece. You would have ended up with the same design but the structure would be much more sturdy, especially if you offset the gaps like brickwork.
Imo. I wouldn't suggest it if only due to the energy/emissions of the material. I wonder what the alternative would be for this look though? Hand placing stones? Maybe earth?
I'm going more for a modern linear look, so forming with wood, and a larger planter is the way to go for me. Otherwise just use nice large pieces of wood or header wood or engineered scrap wood to make a planter.
Blowing the dust off your finished parts with a leaf blower made me sneeze. Where is your CNC machine set up that you can do that without ruining everything around it?
you mixed one bag of cement....but the molds cannot hold all that...so the cement you did not put into the mold....all the cement hardens same rate....means you wasted a lot of cement.
"GRavity is fine"? Dude...its the weight of the concrete. Where and when did the word gravity replace weight?! lol Great project!! I'm gonna have to do something more linear, and larger, so I can avoid the SmoothOn process. Great idea with the jigsaw for vibro.

I think it would be a really cool fireplace too.
Or a holder for chips and dips for the VERY hungry :)
Classic homemade modern!! Love these transformer projects! 🔥🔥
thanks Mike!
OMG, I was totally going to leave a "Classic HMM" comment...
Your creativity knows no bounds.
Try using a plastersizer in the mix makes it much stronger and flows like water with less water needed

Concrete is your calling, man. 👌👌👌
This is amazing. Love the design and execution, and the use of tech and molds. Looks so high end.
Cool design. Looks like you could probably use that around trees. You can plant a tree inside with flowers around it. Love this design.
Damn bro - you're an intelligent builder.
HMM is one of the smartest DIY/Maker channels out there... Ben has a pretty amazing hot take on just about every subject.
Man Ben, that shape is just SWEET!! Looks fantastic!
This is a really sick design!
thank you!
Thanks, learned a lot from this about mould making ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It's so pretty.
What a lovely design! 👍👍👍

Your projects are always so inspiring
Such a lovely design!
Very well done! Now I just need a 10k CNC machine to whip this out.
LOVE!! GREAT JOB!
Great project - mixing all these different technologies!
Super cool idea. Turned out great!
That last forever but thats a lot of work. I wanna know if any diy maker is even going to make one of those.
Imo. I wouldn't suggest it if only due to the energy/emissions of the material. I wonder what the alternative would be for this look though? Hand placing stones? Maybe earth?
@@Ash-yh5oy he could of just painted those used tires grey to make look like cement. Jesse poop house has tons of it too. Lol!

I love any tesselation project...
Amazing design my friend!
Awesome design!
Great video. Killer design. Mahalo for sharing!😊🐒🤙
thank you!
Great ideas
Very nice!!
Certified banger!
Happy to be here early today

Inspirational!
would you ever work with foam/aircrete?
Is there a reason why you just wouldn't make the negative mold right off the CNC machine?
What happened to the other modular concrete patio? I'm hoping you'll do a followup on that one.
love this 👍
Nice, Ilike it.
When I get my Cybertruck, I'm packing up and heading to Joshua Tree...
Why did you make the top from two different shaped pieces while it could have been one?
How many pours can you get with the molds?
Why wouldn't you make the two smaller bits as a single piece too?
Simu Liu called, said he wanted his rings back
8 not 10 lol
Awesome
I wish I could just buy the molds. I don’t have the ability to do all of the work for make the molds.
we are working on it!
@@HomeMadeModern we're waiting!
Do you sell the molds. Very creative project but way beyond my skill level.
Your asking people of they do not have a router, what about the CNC machine?
use a jigsaw lmfao not that complicated just takes longer
yeah I get it! we are working on creating router templates so people without a CNC but who have a router can make it

Hola usted vende los moldes ?
Do you sell your molds??
Cloud9 vibes
Great job, love the hammer drill trick to knock out the air bubbles! Thanks for sharing.
eHH - lots of work for a cement planter
красота!
Hi you sale that's moldes.
Why didnt you put some steel bars in the concrete?
not needed at this scale
End result is imperative and cool but.....This is not doable by the standard woodworker. Who here has a CNC or can afford smoothon products.

Looks like it took waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much work and expense to make the forms/molds..
💗💗💗😳🙏
Wow how much hassles!! and 3 designs? why not simply make " C " shapes interlocking - 1 shape? ... well, next time ;)
i thought it said molecular lol

You Donot Need To Spent 500 Dollars
Silicone Please, Use Your Brain.
Same As You Did The Wood,
You Can Do The Mold Same.
Amén.
Totally worth the 10,000 hours necessary to make this.
