I have been to 35 states, hundreds of cities, thousands of towns.. Eugene is special to me. I can't tell you enough, you have to walk the streets, and talk to the people. This is the home I wasn't born in, I had to find. It treated me so well, and one day I will return to live out my days and return the favor.
Lived there my whole life, I loved it, very good place to grow up. I just loved the atmosphere and very cool people there, hope to go back and visit someday soon, I have a lifetime of memories there, thank you so much for this video.
@@4KNatureandCityWalks I want to move back I was in Eugene earlier in the yr but I was stuck in a shelter tent. I would choose Eugene over Portland any day
10/10 I was almost crying the whole time. From a dangerous city in Washington, this looks like heaven. You can see everyone talking and even the homeless individuals are just minding their own business, having a good time mingling with people who aren't in their situation. It makes my broken heart warm up and Im defiately moving here with my little girl. Thank you so much for this in this trying time
I traveled to Eugene a few years ago and there are many places I haven't been to!😃 Everyone in the city must have gone to Saturday Market! The public market and the streets are empty!😅
Guys from Eugene, you live in an urban paradise. I live in a popular neighbourhood in Mexico City; it has some good things, but also a lot of problems and ugliness: litter, crime, noise, abandoned cars, obstacle after obstacle in sidewalks, lack of basic services such as water. Appreciate and enjoy your beautiful city.
4 months late but I live in Washington Seattle area all my life. Its awful here. Im sitting here almost crying thinking of how much more wonderful and safer its going to be when me and my daughter move to Eugene. The other day my dad saw a young teenage girl get ganged up on by two homeless people trying to throw her off her bike while she was riding it. But also this wasnt in the city. Its in one of the safer parts of the west coast. But its not safe anymore in the SLIGHTEST anywhere
Hello, if I were to move to America, would Oregon be a nice state to live in? Judging from the video, and images I saw online, looks like a beautiful state.
Depends where you wanna go. Oregon is pretty high crime, not as much violent crimes, more so minor crimes, tons of drug addicts, and homeless people. Bikes are stolen pretty regularly in Eugene too. Housing market sucks and is expensive. It is still a beautiful place to live though and I plan on living there sometime after I find a job there
I am in a biracial relationship, my kids are mixed as well. Is it a safe area to visit being that I am Hispanic and my partner and kids are black and half black? Is it sort of diverse? Will folks be rude and be threatening to myself and family? Thanks I’m advance for any feedback! 🙂
I lived in Eugene as a teenager. You definitely would not have a problem with your biracial family the there. Even though it is majority white, the people are really accepting and welcoming of diversity. The biggest thing to know about Eugene is it is very much hippie/new age type scene going on there. Except on South Eugene it's a bit more conservative.
It depends I live in the “Eugene ghetto” it’s nothing like downtown there is tweakers hookers homeless and a ton of drugs the alleyways are super sketchy and this is a few blocks down
@@BangtonClips Yeah, that's pretty typical in any urban setting. What I heard was downtown itself didnt feel safe. I'm from Fort Worth Texas, it's weird, you'll have really nice houses, and a few streets down its run down. Then a few blocks more it's nice again.
@@gordong9214 Yeah. It feels like (as an outsider) that Eugene isn't openly hostile to homeless people like most places are, so over time they end up there.
It is an an oxymoron that Eugene can exist in the State of Oregon. Just look at Tillamook County to see the flip side. Just waiting for deregulation that will create a Garden of Eden without timber and cows. Five rivers with parks, paths for hiking, biking, water fun and family recreation blocked by farmers who cannot pickup a pop can (probably a relative). Iguana Dave
