Nightwish army requested, and now it's there! Here's my reaction to the"Ghost Love Score" Live a the Wacken festival video! Though I remember watching it, I don'T remember it very well, so I thought I could still try it out, and I think that reaction video turned out pretty well! Hoping you guys have as much fun watching this as I had when recording it!!!

Browsing through your catalogue (and hearing your intro to this video) I would like to suggest to follow up with all Floor's perfomances from Beste Zangers since you are already familiar with Nightwish. Then maybe as someone else suggested go for Sancta Terra and move to Epica (I noticed Chasing The Dragon), then Kamelot and then maybe flowing into Elize, Alissa? Or instead of moving onto Kamelot, do other Dutch female metal singers like Charlotte Wessels, Sharon den Adel, Anneke van Giersbergen?

I have watched this live of Ghost Love Score a thousand times and I *still* cry at the end, this note and the way she just delivers it is out of this world. I freaking love Floor & Nightwish just feels so complete with her 💖

Your reaction is so similar to mine as I listened this song so much time when I went to school (more than 15 years ago actually) and I was so shocked (in a good way) when I heard this version with Floor as she added such cool things like distortion or that high mix in the end (the original version don't have them).

Try Floor singing "Sancta Terra" with Simone Simons at Epica's Live Retrospect show. Two wonderful singers and a full orchestra on stage. Floor was a guest singer at that concert and the two of them absolutely nailed this song.

One of my many favorite Nightwish songs would be Ghost River.
I have watched almost every reaction on this song, some are obviously better than others, but I really love yours because firstly you already know the song, very well, and you still are in shosk, and secondly you make me feel as if you look a video with old friends (us), having a good time on a winter evening....I loved this mood !
I would suggest to go on with Nightwish Holy Trinity, you're absolutely ready for that : The poet and the pendulum, then The greatest show on earth. The three longest songs from the band, and I think, their masterpieces.

@@bottivision Yes, of course, live version, at wembley for the Poet and the pendulum ( there is not a lot of choice for this one with Floor anyway), and at Tampere for The greatest show on earth.
My favourite moment in Floor's performance of this song is not the Floorgasm at the end there (though that's absolutely awesome), but my favourite is the "forgive the adoring BEAST"! The sound of that last note, how she hits it, so low and so powerfully, oh, that goes right down to my stomach, reverberating around my rib cage. Very few "reactioners" tend to highlight that note but it's just absolutely out of this world.
Singing low and powerful is soooo underrated honnestly. High notes are what people are impressed with but they are not as difficult as people make them to be. There is so much things about singing I find more challenging.
Thanks for your reaction to Floor’s interpretation of GLS. I especially love the fact that you have performed this song, which brings a unique take on this NW reaction. I love that you are a fan of NW, like so many of us, globally. My request for a reaction is “The Greatest Show On Earth” live at Tampere. It’s long, but, oh so worth your time. Floor and Henk blew us all away recently, with Phantom. I invite you to be blown away by the Nightwish masterpiece that is GSOE.

Naturally, the best choice for your next reaction is "The Poet And The Pendulum" (Live at Webley) because of the different styles of singing she uses.

You should definitely do more reactions to Nightwish performances. Since you are a singer and have *performed* many of these songs, you're in a unique position to talk about the nuances of the vocal performances and the choices made by the respective singers from each period of the band's history.
As for suggestions I'd say Poet & the Pendulum Live at Wembley is a great one for showing other parts of Floor abilities. Her super strong onsets and power in the chorus are staggering, plus Marco's distortion in the middle section is amazing.
If you want something really interesting of Floor's that isn't from Nightwish, there's a great video of her performing Wild Card from her previous band Revamp where she uses lots of different vocal colours including growls (which are false chord screaming): ua-cam.com/video/El9TeVNTT4M/v-deo.html
Another Floor performance you mind find interesting is her rendition of either Que Se Siente or I don't know a thing about love from Beste Zangers. Both performances are interesting because she almost constantly varies her vocal configuration throughout the entire song in both cases and uses many kinds of vocal ornamentations.

It's that kind of song you don't think right away should end up in a live from hearing it on the album, but once you hear it you can't undo it, it HAS to be live every single time
There's a lot of discussion about "Tarja vs Floor" among Nightwish fans and it's all a matter of taste, but your reaction at 9:13 is exactly why I LOVE Floor. She adds the rock/metal edge to Nightwish on a level Tarja never could

Reaction from someone has actually sung the song - how cool is that? Please, keep them coming. Yes, within a few months of joining Nightwish, Floor had turned this into their must-play song. The guys were happy about that, because now they didn't have to play Wishmaster at every concert. How about reacting to Alpenglow from Wembley or Tampere? That was my favorite off of the last album, but I see very few reactions to it. And try Yours is an Empty Hope from Rock in Rio. Floor's mic was turned up too high, so you can really hear her growling underneath Marco's voice.

Floor was in a couple groups before Nightwish. She started in late 90's in After Forever until they broke up in 2009. She then formed Revamp, which went until 2016 (disbanded because Floor didn't have time to keep up with 2 bands). Last year, she did a hard rock side project called Northward with the guitarist from Pagans Mind.
A few other symphonic metal songs:

And not to forget she wasn't even a official member of the band at that one and not even 10 months with them.

Edema Ruh, Slaying the Dreamer (Bloodstock 2018), Gethsemane (Bloodstock 2018), Sagan (I’m sad it didn’t make the album 😭), Ghost River (Wacken 2013), Scaretale, Planet Hell (official live, from Floor’s first concert), The Poet and the Pendulum (Wembley of course 😂), Come Cover Me (Decades tour, maybe Bloodstock 2018). Honestly the Decades Live DVD cannot come out sooner. Oh and Last Ride of the Day Wacken 2013.

Floor fits the band like a glove! Her vocals are amazing, and she's got great stage presence. You can really see she's having a blast singing with Nightwish. 🙂
Here's a non-Nightwish suggestion for a reaction; a performance and song that I've recently been obsessed with: Diana Ankudinova - Rechenka.
She is a Russian singer, a natural performer with an amazing, and very distinctive voice, and exceptional vocal control... especially for her age. It's one of the best live performances I've ever seen, by any artist, any nationality, any genre. It is chills down the spine all the way.

Really enjoyed this reaction, even though you know the song and have heard it before you still reacted the way many of us do, trying to figure out what to say to explain Nightwish, and refusing to give up when you can't find the words. One of Floor's favorite songs and clearly one that you truly enjoy. I thought I reacted to Nightwish songs in an animated way, well you were really great here (loved it so refreshing to see some genuine fan reaction to the songs)!!!Nice to have a professional explain while still reacting like a true fan and lover of great music. What I like about Nightwish the most is that you can clearly see how skillful and gifted they are, but they don't need to brag about it. You see Floor keeping her tone down, Empuu doing what he needs to do, not what he can do. Only Jukka go full bananas every single time lol (or went :()
Yes, I was sad that he had to step down. I am glad they found Kai, though, in order to step in to the position. I REALLY HOPE the lineup doesn't change again, unless it would be to add someone GREAT to the roster, and NOT to take anyone from it again...

I have a funny suggestion, react to Wishmaster ... by Van Canto.
You could combine the video with a reaction of the origonal by Tarja or Floor, but I assume you know them? If you don't know Van Canto, don't look anything up let the song and music video clip surprise you!
Anything else by Floor is great, you could do a whole series!
Within Temptation is great too, so many songs! The duet Sonewhere with Anneke van Giersbergen I like a lot.
Epica also have too many awesome songs to choose. I love the older videos of the "2 meter sessies", Cry for the Moon and Sensorium maybe?
If you like something original you could try Baby Metal, started as a gimmick but now is so popular they have the best Japanese artists playing for them (I think an extremely good guitarist but I'm no expert). It's mostly fun how they contrast cute and metal with so much energy and can play a crowd.
Even better is the korean group Dreamcatcher, probably the only metal one out there. Seven talents that can sing and dance, great songs, styling, choreos and their music videos are pure art. Like mini movies (directed by Digipedi) with a continuous story and a mysterious horror vibe. There b-sides are more ballad like and show their vocals better. I'd recommend the first and second MV's (Chase Me and Good Night) then the b-side Lullaby.
btw I wonder, how much harder is it to sing and dance a fast paced choreo at the same time? Is that a talent or can anyone train for doing that well?

Very good reaction, massive props. BTW, you're not the only one that has a hard time not singing the song as its playing.
I have one request, a small edit to make the reactions vids a little better. Increase the volume of the video. My preference is to have the song slightly louder than the reactor's voice. Timely pauses is fine, (not in the middle of a guitar solo) but the music being louder puts the music first, in my opinion. Just a thought to help make it all better.
It's like you care more about your coffee cup than the music. Holding that thing like it's your life.

Beste Zangers is a Dutch TV show that features 7 singers and each episode is dedicated to one of them. The others perform songs that are either that artist's own or a song that is very near and dear to them but they add their own flavour to it. Floor shows really what she can do there, singing in German, English, Dutch and even Spanish.

Just FYI, that’s about 70 minutes into the show and Floor had been killin’ it the whole way already. Also, that’s 82 THOUSAND people hanging on her every word; so, no pressure on her to Bury that (9 second long)high note.... At 6’1 and 170 pounds Floor is a smiling, singing, dancing, enchanting, stage commanding Valkyrie; and to me at least, a gift from above. Seeing the whole video of this concert, Especially the Floorgasm changed my life. It made me start listening to music again. I love watching these reaction videos and my biggest hope is that people follow and enjoy the Symphonic Metal path I was led to. Welcome to it.
