I was at the Prince of Wales in St Kilda on a Sunday arvo in '95 helping a mate who worked there & asked him why there were holes in the ceiling above the stage in the band room. "TISM played last night". That was my introduction. Love em.
I'm a yob I'm a yob I'm a yob I'm a yob I'm a yob I'm a yob I'm a yob I'm a yob. I can't decide if TISM is brilliant social allegory, or debased filthy schlock. Thus is their universal appeal.
Tism have made it easy to define our generations. The people excercising are Generation Y and the people in masks are generation X. Wow - I think I have just hit the G spot in sociology.
I have listened to tism for years but no one in America knows about them . Were they popular in Australia? They made great videos and seemed way ahead of their time . Here we had those damn wiggles and even though Jeff was good they were no TISM
The best beer can catch ever lol Classic. Still applies today of course.. Probably more wankers today than ever. They should make a comeback! We need them!!
Glad you like these This Is Serious Mum aka TISM videos! My VIMEO channel now has the missing TISM music videos that UA-cam refuse to host. 🐓 TISM - Defecate On My Face vimeo.com/carbiewarbie/TismDefecate TISM - I Might Be A Cunt But I'm Not A Fucking Cunt vimeo.com/carbiewarbie/TismCunt
At 2:01 - 2:17 he doesn't drink a single drop of that beer! His mouth fills, it pours down his front, and then sprays the mouthful at the lead exercise guy!
jawbraeka It looks like their last proper performance was in 2004. In 2008, their guitarist James Paull (Tokin' Blackman) passed away. Damien Cowell (Humphrey P. Flaubert) has had side bands called Root!, DC3 and Damien Cowell's Disco Machine, while bassist Jock Cheese released a solo album entitled Platter. They did release a new version of "Shut Up - The Footy's on the Radio" in 2010 with Jock on guitar and Humphrey singing new lyrics. Have they actually split up? We'll never know.
Australian national anthem

I love that the guy takes a bump like it's no big deal and then he starts wailing on the instructor after putting down his beer.
The quintessential bogan workout. Lots of laughs thanks TISM. But just like the Dixie Chicks with Goodbye, not to be taken too seriously.
Tism have made it easy to define our generations. The people excercising are Generation Y and the people in masks are generation X. Wow - I think I have just hit the G spot in sociology.
