John be like "I'm going on vacation, idgaf what you do while I'm away as long as it costs less than a grand and you get at least one video out of it" 🤣
Crazy cool idea… all the votes for it being called Dartchery are spot on… As much as I understand there are probably more limitations/complications than would be feasible, as a dart purist I feel If you gonna do it you have to have a proper dartboard with all the proper scores. I’d love to try to play “Gotcha” with a bow and quiver
Perhaps you should have tried XPS foam instead of EPS? You put EPS in walls and ceilings and XPS under concrete slabs so it is a lot denser in order to handle the pressure of the concrete.
Before I’m even more than a minute into this video I have to say this is an amazing idea! Love the woodworking you guys do and I love the How Ridiculous guys and this feels like a great combo of the two!
If you guys are ever in Montana and need some new arrows or equipment just swing by Straight 6 Archery in Bozeman or Missoula we would love to get you guys set up for the season!!
i would love to see a build video for a actual backyard archery target. which materials stop an arrow? which materials to avoid using? is the hay bail too good to be replaced? I'm staring down the project very soon
Getting beer involved... Yes, because nothing has ever gone wrong mixing alcohol with weapons 🙄 Seriously though, I think Jordan had a great idea with turning the target in to shop doors. That would be really fraking cool.
How we did an arrow catchers in archery club: 1. You need a frame with threaded roads on top and bottom. They are used to compress the what you will put inside to actually catch an arrow. Sides and stand can be made from wood. 2.1. use fiberwood. Cut it in the size for the height of your catcher, and width of 30cm. Stack them together facing the butt side. Tighten the shield with rods so it will be nice and tight. 2.2 use fiberwood on the sides and made a center side with any kind of polystyrene you buy. Same idea, face the butt side. Tighten the rods. You can mix fiberwood with polystyrene or leave the core from polystyrene only. For taking the arrows out you can use rubber grips which can be found in archery shops, as arrows (especially carbon) are 'glueing' to the polystyrene due to heat when they hit the polystyrene.
Now that looks like it could have been fun, toss in a little "Dukes of Hazard" at the end if you know what I mean lol. Make it even more interesting and do a turntable with someone tied to it, safely of course....
Damn it Jordan, it's "Let Us Spray" As soon as I saw you using plywood on cnc, I knew disaster was inevitable coming, then those 2x4's made me cry laughing so hard before you ever shot one arrow. After 1st shot, wife thought she was going go have to take me to ER. My laughing was so intense, my ribs was hurting. I'm not sure if you guys could have squirrel that up anymore than you did, thank you, I needed to laugh!
question completely unrelated to your video... how much do your hoodies shrink after a few washes? about to buy one but im on the fence between xl and 2xl. what size do you wear?
Agreed, i think if you route the dart board design in the foam, with the numbers included, you could just paint that. No need for the plywood on the front, saving some arrows.
I think it was a HUGE mistake using plywood for the grid-work. The entire circular interior, or the actual target area, should have been the foam with a painted on grid. That foam then should have been set within a wooden frame.
Love the concept. I wonder if having a thick layer of homasote as the painted first layer may have had more stopping power that just foam. I know my boss has us use it for all sorts of projects at work and I think it’s denser than the foam. We used it for pin boards (among other projects)

Probably exactly what John would say
bring in more weird shit without getting fired! This is why i love this chanel!
every boss needs arrows flying back at the business while away.... :) yeah in the name of squirrelly, twice...
This was amazing, but guys... can you do a catapult contest? Like which of you can make a better catapult?
This is totally bad ass! Best back yard game ever!!!
My Favorite episode! Woodworking and Archery!
Great work on this one, boys!

Ben is the man! great customer service.
Bring more weird shit. Oh, and make more Squirrelly pushblocks!
If you guys are ever in Montana and need some new arrows or equipment just swing by Straight 6 Archery in Bozeman or Missoula we would love to get you guys set up for the season!!
Don’t tempt me with a good time 😬
i would love to see a build video for a actual backyard archery target.

I'm staring down the project very soon
Mas weird sheet! Its fun to watch yall screw around!
Getting beer involved... Yes, because nothing has ever gone wrong mixing alcohol with weapons 🙄

I LOVE the Darrel and Darrel videos.
More please!!
Awesomeness! More cool stuff like this please
Archery is one of my dreams . I wish we had an archery club where I live .
Honestly watching the Sam and Jordan screw around when John is gone brings me a stupid amount of joy. Glad you guys had fun!!!
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen. Very well done guys!
The concept is awesome.
Pretty awesome work, guys! Fantastic! 😃
Stay safe there with your families! 🖖😊
Archery dart league hell yeah. We need Pittsburgh bars with big yards.
Looks like a good time, awesome project guys
Awesome video You guys! this looks like a ton of fun.
My cast iron wings for my Sawstop contractor saw purchased from woodcraft will be here Monday 9/13. Awesome build
When the boss is away it’s time to play. Take that Johnny boy.
Y'all are too dang cute & industrious & have delightful ideas! Keep up the squirrelyness!
(I have to say "y'all" since I'm from Georgia) ;-)
Great video! I love to see more of you two make some cool projects.
Daddio should be proud of you boys.
Hahaha, those FMJ’s hit hard.
They’re my preferred hunting arrows as I have approximately 15% more penetration.
Idk what makes people watch videos some has million this has 110k this video is awesome
If getting squirrely was a project🤣🤣
Now this was cool!

Love this channel. All sorts of different content.
Season starts in a couple weeks in Pa!!!! Sweet!!
Great video guys 👍
Now that was fun.
Well done boys!
Loved it ❤️❤️
Love it!! You did an amazing fun job!!
Iv stuck arrows in trees most the times you should be able to just unscrew the tip. Lose the tip but the arrow is usually fine
Love the jankasaurus shirt!
Should have used ceiling tiles like for the floating ceiling
Nice
DARTCHERY is what I though of immediately!
Awesome stuff
Nice shootin' Tex!
Now that looks like it could have been fun, toss in a little "Dukes of Hazard" at the end if you know what I mean lol. Make it even more interesting and do a turntable with someone tied to it, safely of course....
That’s sweet! Might have to make one
Jordan never measures twice and cut once, hence "Damn it Jordan"
Damn it Jordan!
Yes! A Hot Rod reference
Awesome video! It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion!! :P
Heck ya archery darts
I'm 0:45 seconds in and if you don't call it Dartchery I don't know what you're thinking.
Love it!!!
Weird shit rules! Great job guys....
Dammit 🤬 John, the boys done well!! More strange builds…
Darts!! 🎯🎯🎯
awesome video
You guys need to make some bows!
Don't fire them, give them a bonus for being creative and very squirrelly!
A Horse stall may from the local farm supply would probably be a good back for that target but they are heavy.
Great "just for fun" video
do a prank war in the shop!!!
I want one!!!!
Haha the Letterkenny reference
I'm eventually going to try a bed frame
Perhaps it could be reengineered to have a box frame only and you could remake the face with more foam?
Nice👍🏻
Dartchery. Nice.
Love the timing on this video dropping with an Ohio State shirt in it…. Go Ducks!!!!!
I don’t like this
@@jordanheider2662 haha sorry Jordan, had to say it!
this is cool
Omg idk why John keeps leaving y’all with no supervision 🤣🤣🤣
Damn it Jordan, it's "Let Us Spray"

I'm not sure if you guys could have squirrel that up anymore than you did, thank you, I needed to laugh!
I wonder if you could at a wedge to faceplate to deter arrows from sticking in ply webbing
question completely unrelated to your video... how much do your hoodies shrink after a few washes? about to buy one but im on the fence between xl and 2xl. what size do you wear?
Great video. Where did you guys get the Ron Swanson portrait?
Thats the only proper use for iron city beer!!
Dartchery!!!
Where's that Jankasaurus shirt from? I love it!
lawn darts. make the old school 80s metal lawn darts.
I would have used rubber gym mats that would stop it and will last a lot longer
Maybe made just from foam, no more stuck arrows
Agreed, i think if you route the dart board design in the foam, with the numbers included, you could just paint that. No need for the plywood on the front, saving some arrows.
Call lancaster archery get a feild and competition mat put it in and leave the frame... Great concept loved playing darts with arrows
I think it was a HUGE mistake using plywood for the grid-work. The entire circular interior, or the actual target area, should have been the foam with a painted on grid. That foam then should have been set within a wooden frame.
Dammit Jordan! 🤣
I just started this video but they’ve missed a great opportunity if they don’t call it Darchery.
Is this Jordan 2.0? Dig it.
Somebody get Jordan some water! And did that dog do a face plant into the dash when he stopped?!
Yeee hawww so it gets more views👁👅👁
I have an SB-edge if you would like to have it so you can swap the limbs
You guys need an Arrow Jack
Can I buy the plywood cut in this pattern??? I want to build this.
Love the concept. I wonder if having a thick layer of homasote as the painted first layer may have had more stopping power that just foam. I know my boss has us use it for all sorts of projects at work and I think it’s denser than the foam. We used it for pin boards (among other projects)
who would have thought that 2x4 in the middle would be a problem. lol
tough break on Saturday Jordan... 🦆
Still depressed
Next opponent will pay I’m sure.
Did anyone else think "Dartchery Board"? This is a great idea.
