You can see the old Phrygian god Aplu in Apollo. Fantastic information. Do you know how the myth of the warrior Hykinthos friend of Apollo like Hector killed by Theseus became the young boy killed by Zeohyr,
My personal reading is that Apollo is derived from Avestan Apara, meaning something like "one who separates". Always loved learning about Greek religion. Might be a bit foreign feeling from a Celtic perspective (especially the Greek fixation on Goddesses and Apollo’s use of arrows instead of javelins) but the similarities are equally obvious.
Oh. I see. Slingshots and javelins were used side by side in Celtic lands. Most myths about Balor’s death mention Lord Lug using a sling. I’m aware that slings were quite popular. Javelins were popular, as well. The Irish even made special javelins in the 16th century with barbed heads and arrow fletchings.
It's actually not a religion but philosophy and it's not mythology like how people used to call it but decoding and everything has a meaning. The only issue is that you can not understand the meaning 100% if you don't speak Greek because you can't translate some Greek words in other languages. The Greek religion is based on philosophy. Greek's were forced into Christianity and all Greek philosophers were killed by Christians. Some Greeks are unfortunately too brainwashed but there are many Greeks who do not accept Christianity. The real Greek religion is a philosophy that teaches people that they were created by God and God made them like him and not inferior to him and teaches through philosophy how they can take advantage of the powers they have to become better, especially the power of their mind. Εxactly the opposite of Christianity which talks about a god who punishes when you don't fear him. The twelve gods are symbolic and symbolize the strengths and weaknesses that humans have.
I wonder if you're thinking about doing a video on the desperate wish of many modern people to find ancient matriarchal religions and societies, and the ways in which they cunningly disparage Yamnaya-descendant religions and societies for that end. There is an obvious disdain and hatred for anything ancient and European permeating society right now, and it's been this way for a while. I think a video on the origins of this and how to deal with / survive this would be helpful.
The feminine was very well represented in Greek tradition. It is a shame that at present people have sought to distort history and ancient beliefs to fit a particular modern narrative.
"There is an obvious disdain and hatred for anything ancient and European permeating society right now" If you can say this in spite of the positive (if not especially competent) media representations of ancient European stuff being literally unavoidable, you're just having a winge. Live action and animated films and series, books, comics, video games, website, toys, etc all depict this stuff positively, and we're currently seeing a massive surge of interest in things like HEMA (from all parts of Europe). No reasonable person could possibly come to that conclusion. That is clearly a reactionary position, and not remotely respectable.

If you study mythology thoroughly, in all it's aspects, you'll come across the fact that most modern religions have a duality with multiple beings from ancient religions. Apollo for instance is commonly related to St. Michael, in Greek mythology he was the son of Zeus or Jupiter if you like, and grandson of Cronos, or Saturn... which is why it is interesting. His grandfather has a very interesting history, he is one of the few deities that can be found in all known religions in one form or another. Considering the fact that St. Michael in some aspects is the grandson of the black cube is a very deep rabbit hole to go down
My friend you're litteratur is quite good and you're content ambiance is setting thee mood of seriousness of thee gods one could say thee rays of Apollo descended upon thee
Maybe clan kin with you a ways back. Your insights into trinities and ties between regional cults has been amazing to hear. I've been largely ignorant of Celt/Gael myth up until now. Your info on Lugh and trinities has caused me to connect dots I didn't before. Kronus/Zas/Apollo made some weird things click, especially regarding Apollo's cthonic aspects. Did you know Hermes and Apollo share the same planet?
Dear god you people are insane. There's a reason it's called "mythology" they are basically story tales from the ancient world. I have nothing to do with reality.
The serpent(Drakon) Python was the wisdom Goddess, the titans being the stewards of a golden age. The Delphi story tells of a retrogressive transition Apollo representing the Pantheon and in all probability was an alter ego of Zeus. Apollo was also known as the wolf god there is a temple dedicated to Apollo at lycios which literally translates as wolf god. Interestingly the founders of Rome Romulus and Remus were also suckled by a she wolf as infants indicating the continuation of the cult.
Titans are moreso representatives of the Matriarchal tribes and Gods of the Pre-IE/Pre-Aryans. Above all, Saturn/Kronos who represented Time itself, and the Times of Old that wishes to consume and resented Youth and Timelessness. Apollo transcends the "cycle", but if the cycle exists for those like the Olympians and Zeus, then it would actually be a transition from the Kali Yuga or Age of Wolves or Lead, back into the Golden Age.
@@bradsmithy4380 Sons and Daughters reflect attributes of the progenitor that without remain unexpressed. Athena is the most obvious example being born from the head of Zeus exemplifying wisdom and strength in battle.
If the Dragon is the Goddess, then her son is the Wolf/Coyote. So, yes, this is the alter ego of Zeus in the sense that the Lion was supposed to be God #2 and was considered the alter ego of Jupiter. Our problem is that the Goddess who was a Lion was seen as the one crying (Aquarius & Leo depending on the era) ... in our case the Flood arrives in Capricorn. Different people had God #2 as Jupiter or Dionysus (a better pick). So what one people might call Lucifer another people could call the Son of Man or the Lord or the Beast or any number of other things! The key to the problem is figuring out which one comes as a god of darkness like Camazotz. See Amos or Joel. They knew. Soon our Plague will give way to the Shadow of Death.
@@kenmcclellan We are all sons/daughters of the creator even the bad guy's so what you say makes some sense however the Lion is not god(creator) it symbolises the anointed one or saviour. There are also two ancient writers (i don't remember which ones) who reported a sweet smell coming from the oracle's room. How did you conclude that there's no evidence of this gas?

I always found it illogical for Gods, and Titans as well, to not perfectly marry eachother, for example Zeus and Hera married but other siblings didn't even tho there is a perfect number of them If we look at Apollo and his connection with agriculture and constant connections with Poseidon, isn't it more logical for Apollo and Artemis to be the children of Poseidon and Demeter, I mean Poseidon was considered the main god in chthonic greek religion mainly because his Earthshaker epithet, and I think that all Cronus' and Rhea's children represent the conscious mind so it's not really a big difference, the only problem is that connection of Apollo with Coeus and Phoebe is not there anymore but some myths say that the Apollo's gift of prophecy and Artemis' hunting dogs were given by Pan, genealogy of Pan is not certain but it was said that he is older than Olympians so there is a possibility for him to be the son of Coeus and Phoebe
@@Jumpoable some stories are contradictory and need a little fix, like there is one where Tantalus stole a golden dog made by Hephaestus to guard Zeus when he was a baby, there are a lot of stories but some of them are more illogical when it comes to mythological setting

Oh.
Good work!! thank you!!
"There is an obvious disdain and hatred for anything ancient and European permeating society right now"
If you can say this in spite of the positive (if not especially competent) media representations of ancient European stuff being literally unavoidable, you're just having a winge.
@ There are tons of so called Barbarian female power figures in European history. Something for everyone i'd say;) ua-cam.com/video/5xxUc3T1_As/v-deo.html

Beautiful video
Very nice!! Would love to see one on Artemis
I admire your work
If you study mythology thoroughly, in all it's aspects, you'll come across the fact that most modern religions have a duality with multiple beings from ancient religions. Michael in some aspects is the grandson of the black cube is a very deep rabbit hole to go down
Have you made a video on his twin goddess Artemis?
Not yet
It's amazing to have such a great character .Apollo 🇬🇷 drawn by Polish 🇵🇱artists such as Stanisław Wyspiański 🇵🇱
Great respect 🕊️🤝
I like Apollo! All glory to him!
What is the reference for the quote that the site of Delphi was strongly influenced by the hallstatt culture?
We do not know a lot about Mithraic cult, but mosaic from the Mithraeum of Felicissimus suggest that Raven/Crow was symbol of Mercury/Hermes.

Dear god you people are insane.
There's a reason it's called "mythology" they are basically story tales from the ancient world. I have nothing to do with reality.
Thank you.
" alter ego of Zeus." ?
I thought he was Zeus' son?
This of course is the story of Heracles and the Nemean Lion,Heracles was yet another pseudonym of Zeus also being known as Baal, Melqart, Ammon,Yahweh etc. Regards.

Would you mind if i use a short clip of this for a video? It's approx 45 seconds and related to Swan myth

Apollo and appolyon are not the same. One is light and the other not
Excellent 👌
I will make another video on Apollo shortly with some footage from Greece as I was able to make it to some of the temples (unfortunately not Delphi this time) This video was unfortunately demonetized for some reason I don't even understand.

I need to ask, is the torment of the Giant supposed to be an earlier version of Prometheus' myth or is that just a normal torture for immortal beings in Greek mythology?
One day I'll be mature enough to watch this video without giggling at the word "shaft"
I'm confused about what you said about Delphi. I've read some things that say there was in fact some volcanic activity in the area and there could have been gas seeping from a fissure. There are also two ancient writers (i don't remember which ones) who reported a sweet smell coming from the oracle's room. How did you conclude that there's no evidence of this gas?
Great job brother

Denisovan were the Ice Giants. They used Swan as Symbol and invented music. Denisovans were 7ft tall Neanderthal with Elongated heads. These gods were a hybrid race of Denisovans. The hybrid race killed all the full blood Denisovans. Like Thor killed the ice Giants and the gods killed the Titans. A theory I have.

I always found it illogical for Gods, and Titans as well, to not perfectly marry eachother, for example Zeus and Hera married but other siblings didn't even tho there is a perfect number of them
If we look at Apollo and his connection with agriculture and constant connections with Poseidon, isn't it more logical for Apollo and Artemis to be the children of Poseidon and Demeter, I mean Poseidon was considered the main god in chthonic greek religion mainly because his Earthshaker epithet, and I think that all Cronus' and Rhea's children represent the conscious mind so it's not really a big difference, the only problem is that connection of Apollo with Coeus and Phoebe is not there anymore but some myths say that the Apollo's gift of prophecy and Artemis' hunting dogs were given by Pan, genealogy of Pan is not certain but it was said that he is older than Olympians so there is a possibility for him to be the son of Coeus and Phoebe
These are all stories. Stories are illogical. LOL.
@@Jumpoable some stories are contradictory and need a little fix, like there is one where Tantalus stole a golden dog made by Hephaestus to guard Zeus when he was a baby, there are a lot of stories but some of them are more illogical when it comes to mythological setting
