I love the comment about deleting the music theory stuff. I am trying to learn as much as I need to know of it though, because you even talked about Mixolydian over a dominant chord and avoid notes and playing what is right for a song. Learning music theory bends my brain especially when I am grooving on a song, but I hate it when I play wrong notes, so I am still trying to get the theory to the muscle memory point.

I really appreciate it when you keep it simple. I spent my life as an IC designer and built a company around manufacturing them. I did not spend it as a musician. When I play, I just want simple things I can do to get more out of my play time as an amateur. I don't want to make a job out of my hobby. When I see the arguments about theory, it makes me tune out.

Love that blue Tele Guthrie , great lesson . I have been playing guitar for 57 years ,started out with Johnny Cash ,and Merle Haggar, then went on to Rock and Blues . Back then if you wanted to learn ,you had to lift the needle and move it back ,over and over. I never learned theory and the foundation of the fretboard .Thank you for helping me learn, what I should have learned a long time ago. Great lessons .
