Revlon Candid in Buff works for my skin exactly...I LOVED seeing you grab from other brands because it has given me some more options to try out. ❤️
I do have to say, revlong colorstay has been my go-to foundation for a while and you can get higher buildable coverage with a beauty blender sponge over a brush, a brush tends to sheer it out more.
This was very helpful! I actually am a big fan of the Revlon Candid range including the concealers and the "Glow" foundation which is a bit more of a skin tint. I think they are probably the best I have found for pale olive undertones, but as you said, there's not a whole lot of extensive or expansive shades for persons of deeper complexions. Thanks Sophie! 🌻
Ah yes this is so helpful!!!! I always struggle to find the right foundation shade Revlon Buff being one of the best ever when I’m not tanned so this has been a godsend to see and understand someone with a similar skin tone 💗
I’ve always used the 150 buff combo oily one cus it’s the only foundation that matches me pretty good, I find it builds better with a damp beauty sponge. Love the video❤️
Thanks for making videos about olive skin. Thank youu so muuuch!
Loving the new setup 🥰
Thank you!!!!! Can you please tell us more about clothing colors? Specifically lighter neutrals, everyone says that olives look amazing on jewel colors but I can’t wear those at work :(
I am so glad I found your channel!!
When you mentioned the colorstay I knew you were gonna say buff! I’ve been wanting to try that foundation. I normally use the revlon candid in 120 buff which is also a nice light olive shade that leans slightly neutral-cool olive. Thanks for another olive video! Makeup is stunning btw
i havent had luck with the buff in any of the revlons, including candid - they oxidize a bit too much for me. but i am still trying to find out if i am cool or warm or neutral olive
@@catiejohnson7910 try picking up the LA girl foundation mixer in white. It helps with foundation when they oxidize and will lighten the shade a bit. The mixer in blue & yellow are also helpful, you can mix them together to make green and then use that to turn foundations into olive shades! Sometimes I even just use the blue alone on foundations that are warm/yellow and that will be enough to neutralize it and turn it to an olive tone. They are really handy I’ve been able to use all my foundations that don’t match me on their own this way. You can play around with them sometimes it takes some trials but I’ve found so many perfect matches this way. & you only need to put a small amount so it doesn’t change the formula of the foundation or anything. The revlon candid in 120 buff is actually a tad too cool for me so I mix some yellow & blue mixer in there and it makes it perfect. But yeah the white will combat oxidization :)
@@couturemepleasexo thanks. I’ve been so reluctant to try the mixers but I know I am going to have to! Thank you. I’ve been looking and blue and white mainly but thinking of grabbing yellow too
Thank you!!
Great video, thank you! May I suggest Revlon Colorstay for Oily Combo skin in "Sand Beige" 180. It's light to medium olive; and 'Tawny' 280 for Medium-ish olive skin tones. I believe Tawny is only available online.
Thanks for sharing!!
@@Sophie_theesthetician My pleasure!
I like the Revlon candid a lot! I have both the buff and Creme brûlée shades also. Creme brûlée just slightly darker, very slight. Swatched on my blog 😁
I'm light to medium olive with redness, duh.
If I had my Chanel Beige 20 foundation always too orangey and also become greyish on my chin area since there's slightly darker (maybe medium olive).
But when I use my peachy Dior Forever corrector concealer in Neutral 2 or Neutral 2 5 is good. But I can't use concealer for the whole face
The best foundation match that I have found (after trying hundreds of foundations) is Anastasia Beverly Hills in shade 220. 210 works also. Thank you for for your videos. They are extremely helpful. Can you do more videos for lipsticks also - those are really hard to find too. Thank you!
What blush and lip shade do you have on?
revlon colorstay matches my skin tone okay but it sits on me like my skin is made of sandpaper. i dont have that issue with the smashbox fair olive one.
How strange because the smash box one kinda sits on top of my skin! Everyone is different!
Great video! My issue is finding a foundation for acne prone skin that matches my light olive skin. I like Clinique Acne Solutions foundation for my acne but the colors are terrible. The lightest colors are too dark, and the lightest is way too pink for me. Is there a drugstore brand you’ve found for oily, acne skin for light olives? I like full coverage since I have acne marks. Thanks!
A bomb video! 👌 Thank you for sharing all this information ❤️
Can you help me understand if the finish is nice and the color is nice but the coverage isn’t right, would you still use the product? If yes, would you be doing anything additional to get the coverage you need or want? I’m just so confused by foundation and how to pick a color, brand etc.
Depending on the day I would use it! And I might just use concealer over my blemishes if I have any. I typically only use full coverage for events or if I’m not feeling great about my skin. For everyday or professional settings, I like this level of coverage.
I quite like this video ;)
I quite like you!!!
Hey you look obvious olive but i am not able to find my undertone :(
Video on that coming soon! But check out my olive undertone video in the meanwhile!
