💖 Here are some primer picks for you to look through: shopmy.us/collections/15129 I will also be doing a video on top primers & concealers :) Thanks for watching!💖
Thank you!
Thank you
When you hit 60, I’m 63 it all even changes sadly I LOVE YOUR REVIEWS. YOU REALLY TEST THEM , WEAR TIME , 😂DIFFERENT SKIN PREP. ETC…. I trust you. And you are really all around the best ❤❤❤❤❤
Me too , I agree🩷🩷
I'm also 63 but still have really oily skin. I can't wear the foundations most women my age wear as they are way too oily for me. I still use water based or "matte" formulas. Yeah, it's crazy but I do not have a lot of wrinkles which is the good part of having oily skin.
I’m 35 but Estée Lauder double wear is my #1 foundation of all time I only use it on date nights or special occasions 🎉❤
I really appreciate Stephanie's videos on how to apply Estee Lauder Double Wear.. saved my aging skin. I'm 68 with oily skin and live in hot, humid Arkansas. But a few suggestions from Stephanie have helped customize my application of this foundation to optimize the finish. So glad I found this UA-cam channel...LOTS of great tips for looking our best!!!
I’m so glad it helped you! Thank you for the feedback and your kind words! 💞
Climate makes so much difference. I’m 58 and live in SoCal. Most of these don’t work for my dry skin and dry climate. This is helpful though for when I travel to humid areas…
It truly does! Have you tried the ones with radiant and natural finishes that are for dry or all skin types? Basically the ones that I get some shine with when I don’t use primer 🤪 (Haus, Smashbox, Sisley, the new MAC, etc) Loads of people with mature dry skin that live all over love them. They make work for you 💗
So so true... I've lived in a few climates since turning 40 (56 now) and down here in the Arizona Desert foundations and skin care are so much more involved and tend towards dry skin products that I didn't need in more humid environments. Skin care especially has become it's own project. 😂
One that I would absolutely love your opinion on is the Jane Iredale pure pressed.
My favorite med/full coverage foundation is the Loreal Freshwear. I've gone through 2 or 3 bottles of it. Great coverage, lasts a long time, not super matte but not glowy for my normal-to-oily skin. I almost always wear lighter coverage foundations/skin tints now, but I keep a bottle of Freshwear handy.
I love that foundation! 💗 But since it’s med/full coverage, it didn’t belong in this video. Stay tuned because it will turn up in another 🥰
I'm 60 and still love Double Wear foundation.
Estee Lauder DW and MAC studio fix fluid are my ultimate best foundations
Haus Labs has been my #1 foundation since it launched and this comes from a gal who has a LOT of foundations 🙈. I’m about to turn 60 with normal to dry skin and whenever I wear this people will compliment me on my skin. It’s just SO beautiful.
I am curious to try the new Smashbox foundation and the new MAC formula.
Thank you so much for this Stephanie- your reviews of foundations and concealers are the BEST ☺️🙏
Happy weekend 💕
Xo 🇨🇦
I have combination skin and I just love the New reformulated Mac Studio fix foundation.
I live in Tennessee, so I thought I knew what humidity was. But after visiting New Orleans a couple weeks ago - wow, y’all are dealing with a whole other level! 🥵 And I have a whole other level of respect for your foundation reviews, thank you for all that you do!
I moved here from TN! 😆There's basically no humidity there compared to here! LOL! It was a HUGE shock to say the least! I miss having four seasons!
I need full coverage so this video was SUPER helpful. Thanks for sharing your recommendations with us. 👍🏼
Can not believe that more influencers do not talk about this Long time favorite Foundation! At 59 Nothing compares good job EL on its foundation
F
I have dry skin and my go to foundation is Este Lauder Double wear. I moisturize and apply MAC’s fix plus under it. I live near Houston Texas and it’s humid. This foundation stays all day. You need to double cleanse with this foundation and use an oil based makeup remover to get it off.
Thank you Stephanie for your tutorial.I love my Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation. I have been wearing it for 30 years.Long wearing ,and flawless. I have tried others and immediately gone back to my tried and trusted brand. I did try the Haus Labs foundation and it didn’t cover as well. I just love it!😊💕🙋♀️🇨🇦
Macy's is having their 10 days of beauty sale and the Smashbox foundation will be on sale one the days!
I'm turning 40 this year and nobody told me how much my skin would change even from 39 to 40! 😩
Thank you for this list!
And I'm from Houston, TX so i get the humidity!!
I started my channel when I was 40 for this very reason. It’s insane and doesn’t stop! I hope I can help you in some ways! Thank you for watching! 💗
I'm 53 and I live and work outside in Florida. My favorite foundation is the Nars Radiant Long wear because it stays out in the extreme humidity here. I never set it with powder. It's my one and only favorite. I have the Estee Lauder Double Wear but find it too heavy on my skin for everyday wear. I save it for special occasions.
Are you using the original or the reformulation? I’m not hearing good things about the new version from RLW die-hard lovers unfortunately.🙁 It seems like the reformulated it under the radar which is strange!
I use a tinted moisturizer over my skincare and sunblock- then I use the Chantecaille blurring powder. In summer I have to use a non transfer waterproof product like Haus labs or KVD - or the Smashbox. I’m 72 and my skin is still pretty good.
Just came across your channel and got so excited when you said you live in New Orleans, because I live here, too! I I will be turning 54 yrs old this summer, so I do have a mature skin and have to deal with our humidity as well. Thank you for your recommendations. Subscribed !
I wore double wear for years and it was perfect, when I got past 35 it just doesn't work for me anymore ,not separates and gets cakey now .
I love that you include affordable options.... 💕💕
I love your foundation and concealer videos, they are so helpful. I just turned 40 but I do have mature skin.
Love this review! I had to wait to the last for the Best! I have worn Estée Lauder double wear since 1999 and have always loved it now that I am 59 I am always listening to influencers talking about dewy finish foundations for older skin so I always try recommendations Not good😮 I even tried Estée Lauder furturist sinks into fine lines horrible…at 59 I feel my best when I wear Estée Lauder DW does not look cakey at all when applied right and truly is Beautilul and last all day
@@stacyhahn1506 I tried it too and it was terrible. Back to my double wear.
I am so glad you talked about the Haus Labs foundation! I love it! Crazy, right? Especially since I'm 70 yrs old & live in Houston! Lady GaGa for crying out loud!! Lol! But I love it! It looks great on my dry skin & lasts all day! I always look in the mirror & "assess" my makeup in the evening before doing my nighttime routine. It's a shame I have to wash it off! It still looks great! I wear it a minimal 12 hrs & it still looks flawless! Now, that's something!!!
She makes some fantastic makeup!
@@StephanieMarie agreed!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the bangs!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve used both of your drugstore foundation recommendations and they are so good. Especially the NYX for extended wear. There are few high-end brands I’ve tried that are as good in that area. There isn’t a shade in the Cover Girl Outlast that matches me so I have to mix 2 which is a pain, but I wear it occasionally. 😊
I’d love updated reviews on mattifying primers for
oily mature skin (40+)! I’m still as oily as I was as a teen, even at 42 yrs old!
I love the NYX Can't stop Won't stop foundation. Also, love the Haus Labs foundation. I used to use the Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation but they reformulated it and now I can't find a good shade. Presently, I have been loving Loreal true match super blendable foundation. I live in southern California with dry heat so my foundation can last 12 hours on my dry skin.
Based on your description and program, I ordered Sisley looking for a quality FULL COVERAGE foundation.
Being over 55, I prefer great quality, and choosing one or two, to get the value and hope the promises , what either the manufacturer or reliable professionals, and sometime influencers state.
My skin is plump, healthy, still a bit dry, with very little discoloration, and a few not extreme fine lines.
My hopes were high for Sisley.
I was exited to try it.
Was it worth the hype? 🤔🤔🤔
I was deeply and definitely DISAPPOINTED!
Sure, it’s not for everyone, and each of us, we have to try ourselves.
It is rather thin, and very drying.
I feel a true let down as far as the coverage. Though I barely have discoloration, this one was not even close to It CC cream , which promotes full coverage - however it just blurs, but at least not dry.
( I always use amazing moisturizers, and face base, or similar products before applying foundation)
The coverage was FAR FAR AWAY FROM MY EXPECTATIONS.
So, at least I figured out, which one i shouldn’t use in the future.
I think, finding the right one is going to be a long process and a possible great learning experience.
Hopefully, most of the bands offer samples - before I shell out an other large amount for a
hopeful match and performance.
What primer do you suggest??
I pinned a comment at the top with suggestions :)
Thank you so much for your reviews! I so appreciate how thorough you are. I personally also love Dior Forever Foundation and Armani Luminous Silk ❤
I’m hoping to cover rosacea
I'm surprised you didn't put tirtir cushion foundation in here. I thought I saw that you really loved it.
I haven’t reviewed it yet. These include foundations I’ve reviewed to date
I saw Tati review that one and she loved it! 😊
I love the Lancôme stick foundation!❤
Is it still available? I live in Canada and have been unable to find it anywhere last couple of years
I've tried every foundation mentioned here except the CoverGirl and Louboutin. At 74, with normal skin and a couple of small dry patches, the Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow and Guerlain Terracotta foundations are my full coverage favorites. Sadly, I was disappointed in the Sisley foundation. It didn't cover my sun damage spots and just didn't perfect my skin like it should for the price!
You should try the Haus Labs. It's amazing!
Interesting! I have both Hourglass and Guerlain going in different top fdns videos. Since both give med-med/full coverage, they didn’t fit this one. I definitely get more coverage from Sisley. How funny! Could be the tools or the layering I guess!
@@pamcanfield255I gave Haus Labs many tries. Changed shades. Changed application method. It just didn't work for me
Do you apply your foundation with a brush?
So so good!!! Such a good review!
I am 48, dry skin and living in super dry environment so it is challenging to find a suitable foundation …
I live in San Antonio(humid) have normal/slightly oily T zone and I swear by the Smashbox Always on Foundation ohh yeah and I’m 43. I do not use a primer just my gel vc moisturizer. Last 12 hrs well mostly ❤
Estee Lauder Double Wear is my winner at 55. Have a great weekend ❌️ ⭕️
The Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow is beautiful. I have combo oily skin and it’s great if I don’t want something super matte.
It is! But I find it gives med to med/full coverage. So it didn’t fit this video :) It’s going in a different top foundations video though! 💗
Awesome ❤❤❤❤
Love this type of videos!! Thank you for sharing!! It was so helpful ❤
My goodness girl you are so aesthetic i love your videos and your looking so pretty
Thank you!
@@StephanieMarie 😍😍😍😍🤩
I'm turning 60 in a couple weeks and I have been on the search for foundation, it's hard! What used to work no longer does, even to the color!
Your bangs are sure looking good. Beautiful and informative as always.
Thank you for doing a full coverage foundation round up!
❤❤❤ your videos and the level of detail you do - awesome 🙌 Tyvm 🙏🤗 and absolutely ❤❤❤ your new hairstyle-it’s stunning 🤩
Thank you so much!!
I'm looking for foundations that have more cool to neutral tones. Are the colors you are using more warm or cool? I find 90% of makeups I try have a yellowy base that make me look ashy and sick.
I changed shades in Estée Lauder too! Might be a factor of age and piling on the sunscreen. Great video as always. I’m curious to try the Sisley 😉
Thank you for this great video. You read my mind. I was hoping you would post some best of videos. I would love more of these focusing on brushes, hair tools, one and done shadows, etc…
Great video! Thank you! What lipstick are you wearing in this video! You look amazing! Love it!
I don't recall offhand, but everything is listed in my description box for you! :)
Love doublewear even though I have dry skin
What’s your favorite oil controlling primer right now? 72% humidity here today. 😭😭
I like the L'Oreal mattifying primer. Works great and drugstore prices. 👍
I pinned a comment at the top with primer suggestions. I feel like primers work differently for everyone. I put my top fave mattifying ones closer to the top :)
Thank you!
What’s your favourite mattifying primer? I have tried the Mac Studio fix and am enjoying it but my daughters wedding is coming up and I would love to keep the shine away all day.
I pinned a comment at the top with primer suggestions. I feel like primers work differently for everyone. I put my top fave mattifying ones closer to the top :)
Do you usually use a sponge with all these foundations ?
Most times I do and I apply them as in the how-to video I attached :)
Hi Steph - I'm going to try a few of these based on your recommendations. After watching your video of the Tir Tir foundation, I ordered it, loved it, but I need to order another shade. It's not always easy ordering online. For the Tir Tir, I found it worked best for me applying it with a damp Real Tech sponge. I always trust your recommendations! You're the best! :)
LOVE your foundation videos Stephanie Marie! Glad there's more to come! Any chance of I primer video at the end of the series? 😊
Absolutely! :)
@@StephanieMarie Yay! 🥰
Hi, Stephanie! Thanks for including the Cover Girl Outlast. I was blown away by it. Highly underrated.
I live in a Houston-esque climate, so I'm right behind you with the melting makeup. 🙄 Plus, I have oily skin. I swear by Wayne Goss' technique of powder *before foundation to keep my face from melting! 😂
Thanks Stephanie! I appreciate videos like this so much.
I love this video! I’m hoping you can give us a concelear version! Thank you!
Definitely! Primers too :) Thank you!
LOVE that you mention humidity. Living in Australia we have high humidity year round, so it's lovely to know what might work here. Thank you. 😁
The video you shared is great, thank you for letting me know more about this beauty knowledge, I really like it..
Ty so much Stefanie! As always great and thoughtful review! Love this type of video!
Hello! Love your videos! What foundation are you using in this video? Thanks
This is excellent. Thanks for doing this.
I appreciate you being with us !
Love this video. I have the same question as so many others = Matt primer? Please and thank you. Haus Labs accentuates T zone pours.
Try applying Haus Labs in thinner layers and pressing it into your skin with a damp sponge as I do in the ELDW and layering it only where needed :) I just pinned a top comment with primers for you to look through. I hope that helps!
Hi Stef, did you ever try the YSl All hours? Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thank you!!
Is Mac Face and Body discontinued?
(wondering if the Mac foundation that you’re showing in this video is a combination of the old Mac face and body plus the one that is updated which you show in this video)
I have been away from the Internet and keeping up with make up scene for almost 2 years and I’m trying to catch up now by watching the videos. I’m looking for a more lightweight foundation sort of like the Mac face and body or something like that is kind of a little more moist than the full coverage ones that “fuse” to the skin as you say -that’s a very good description of that action.
Anyway, this was a very good video and I’m tempted to try all of them but I know they would be probably too full coverage for me and I’m a little older than you so they might not be as flattering to me. I think I do better with lighter weight one that remains a little moist looking.
🎄 Merry Christmas Stephanie 🎄💕
Heyyyyy ❤ I’ve been following you for a long while now. Love your videos! I live in NC, so I can 100% relate to the foundation struggle. I have combination to oily skin too. Have you done any primer videos?? I need some great primer options. Xoxo 😘 thanks!
So, perhaps I can wear on my oily mature skin the Smashbox in my dry Arizona desert weather!!!
I’m honestly shocked you didn’t do elf satin foundation that foundation is 🧑🍳 😘 very lightweight and dewy without looking wet 😂❤
Not every foundation can make the list - it becomes too long. It doesn't mean other foundations aren't good or that they won't make other top foundations videos. It just didn't make the full coverage one because others are better with being full coverage :)
Great video & I’ve found some new foundations to try!! Thank you 😊
I refer to your color match list for foundations regularly as we seem to have the same complexion color. One of the products I'd like to try is the Armani LSF. Do you have a color choice?
Hi! I have it in 5.75 - I need to update it on the blog. I believe I have it listed as 5.2 because that's the shade I originally tried. It's listed under G for Giorgio Armani 😉 I'm glad it helps you!
Thank you for these awesome tips. I have a question. What primer can I used best combined with the NYX foundation. The can’t stop non stop primer is sold out, and I have no idea which one to buy that works with this foundation. I want a longwear primer. Can you give me a tip? I am 43, a bit of wrinkles. And combination skin
I posted this top primer video a few months ago that may help ua-cam.com/video/jydd-g4NUvA/v-deo.html and I have this list you can check out that includes other good ones: shopmy.us/collections/15129 Something silicone based like Thank Me Later or one of Hourglass's would be great. Elf is pretty good too
Thank you for this video.. so helpful.. I too have rosacea.. I was wondering if you have a recommendation for a primer normal to dry skin.. ❤
I pinned a comment with some primer suggestions. Some of the ones that are blurring, smoothing and balancing are nice for all skin types. Too Faced Hangover is my top pick for normal/dry skin. Love it!
You look amazing!
Thank you so much! 💗
Stephanie Marie - Can you please review The Cle de Peau Beaute "The foundation"? By that I am referencing the $270 jar. I have mature skin, and live in a humid climate. There don't seem to be many reviews on tie product expect for the younger crowd. Thank you for considering this request.
Always love ELDW 😊
I'm 56 and the NYX CSWS is a hard pass from me. I love Estee Lauder Double Wear and have been trying to find an acceptable substitute for it, and this NYX isn't it. I purchased it after watching your review and it's probably one of the worst I've used. With and without primer, with a sponge and with a brush, I couldn't get it to last past four hours. The other thing I've noticed is it emphasized the crow's feet and wrinkles under my eyes to a scary level. I literally put it on around noon, ran errands today for a few hours on a mild to cool Los Angeles day, and it was gone by dinner. I think I'm returning this one. I'm glad it worked for you, but I was really disappointed. I just can't afford ELDW at $50 anymore. I wish I could, because it absolutely performs on my 16 hour work days.
What is on your lips, it's stunning!
I listed everything in the description. Thank you! :)
@@StephanieMarie Yes, I saw it later, so sorry.
You have sold me on the Christian L foundation. What is your favorite primer and setting powder to use with it? For finishing powder I have hourglass. Also do you like to use a sponge or makeup brush to apply it?
I vary my primers and often wear it with no primer. I pinned a comment at the top with primer suggestions you can look through. I usually apply my foundations with a damp sponge as demonstrated in the attached ELDW how-to video :)
@@StephanieMarie You are the best!! I bought that foundation through your link so you better get your commission for all of your incredible help💛💯
For me, Louboutin foundation can do no wrong. Sisley phyto teint perfection is second place. I am 48, normal skin, in the UK
Thank you Stephanie! Great video 🥰👍
What mattifying silicone primers do you recommend for oily mature skin that can have rosacea flare-ups? Thanks so much♡
Tarte in the glass jar- oldie but goodie
I pinned a top comment with primers for you to look through :)
Double Wear is my #1…. I am in SW Louisiana so I need heat, humidity and hurricane proof too!! 😂
Did you see where NOAA just said they are predicting 13 hurricanes this year 😱😱😱
@@Queenmarie88 OH LOVELY! I THINK I AM MOVING TO UTAH! 😂
It really lasts in THAT heat?? I think I found my next foundation!
I live in New Orleans - all the foundations I test are tested in brutal heat 🥵 😆
Hi, can you share your favorite foundations to mix with the Estee Lauder foundation? I love Haus Labs but need a bit more coverage and longevity. I’m thinking of pairing Haus Labs and EL Double Wear. Any suggestions? Thank you for another great video.
Hi! I think you're asking what to mix with Haus Labs correct? Yes, try it with ELDW :)
I was thinking what to mix with EL. thanks I will try mixing EL with Haus Labs. Thanks! ❤
@lesliegutierrez594 ohhh! Try those out!
Hi! I’m sorry to ask, but do you happen to get Botox, by chance? I feel like you have no wrinkles on your forehead! That’s my biggest concern right now. I’m only 33, but I’ve noticed the lines on my forehead end up looking so noticeable with my foundation lately! Any specific tips for that? Primer definitely helps, but I wasn’t sure if there is anything else I could do? 😊
Hi! No worries! No botox. I wrinkle my forehead a bunch - too much probably. This video is what I do: ua-cam.com/video/oKttw-ZDu-A/v-deo.html :)
@@StephanieMarie thank you so much for responding to me! I will check this out! You look flawless!
What kind of sponges do you use? I've read beauty blender is the best because it doesn't soak up excess amounts of foundation into the sponge allowing for better foundation coverage.
Because I test so many foundations, I go through a lot of them. So I rotate Beauty Blender, rephr, stansout, & Beakey and AOA from Amazon.
9 to 10 hours for a foundation not to need any touch up and just starting to get oily, is perfect and realistic, most ppl do use a bathroom between 9 to 10 hours, a little touch up is completely ok.
Do I need a primer for my sixty year old dry skin?
I would use a hydrating primer like the ELF JellyPop primer & Makeup Forever Hydrogrip are excellent for dry skin. Be sure to apply & give it 20 secs or so bf foundation application
What shade do you wear in DW in summertime ☀️
Rattan :)
Yay! The video I've been waiting for! ❤
Thanks❤
Dear Stephanie, I’m not sure if this will make a difference to you or not, but many of these brands experiment on animals.
They include Esteé Lauder, NARS, Makeup Forever, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Pat McGrath, MAC, Tom Ford, Lancôme, Giorgio Armani, L’Oréal, Maybelline and Revlon.
When I found out, I was absolutely shocked and felt that I should share this knowledge.
I’m not sure what you’ll do with this information, but I hope it matters to you.
They don't test on animals for fun. Rather test on animals than on people
I would rather they test on people! Leave the poor defenceless animals alone! Testing on animals is completely unnecessary!
Thankfully she does mention the cruelty free brands as well. ♥️ 🐾
Thank you so much for the info. Some of these I didn't realize were STILL testing on animals. I think it's crazy since most products are made up of ingredients that have been used before, so safety is already established. They test on animals because you don't have to PAY them or get consent.

Hello I’m trying to find the Estée Lauder
Can you clarify what you mean? It’s in the video, the UA-cam links, and the description box
What primer would you recommend for normal to dry skin going into summer and want to Mattify because I sweat!!!
I pinned a top comment with some primers for you to look through. There are a couple that are sweat resistant in the group! :)
Have you changed your DoubleWear shade from 2W1 to 2N2? Just wondering why because I also lean light medium neutral and 2N1 is just too light this time of year.
Yes: ua-cam.com/video/Apqq7TWeITc/v-deo.html Not because it was too light, but too warm/yellow. Try Rattan for a deeper shade. It's been my summer shade when Dawn was too light. I think that's listed on my blog too
Thanks!
I’m curious to know what IS your most matte foundation? NARS?
Well, that's a topic for another video isn't it!? 😆
