I love seeing the edge play just that guitar for most of the show... makes it feel more realistic and more rock n roll. Doesn’t need a new guitar for every song to make music.
Esa época de U2 es la que más me gusta, tuve la oportunidad de asistir por primera vez en el popmart tour, elevation tour, the Joshua tree 30 aniversario y e-i tour Los mejores
My pal and I got backstage as Bb king was coming out, we were feet from getting in to U2s dressing room to say hello. We had a chat with BB who was lovely and when security caught up with us he stopped us being ejected. We had to watch the show from the balcony with over 20 security guards around us due to the 'threat' we caused! A couple of kids just tetokf to meet our idols constituted a major threat back then, stupid yes, threat no and it wasn't us that left the door from the arena to backstage unmanned 🤣

What a great quality (sound and picture). I love Lovetown, for me the best tour ever, the spirit, the mood, Bono's voice... Incredible. All played snippets during the whole tour, so excellent and unique i.e. All I Want Is You... So many different versions, fantastic and Bad... Oh my goodness, so powerful and emotional... Thank you for upload. A brilliant piece of music history
January 1990 you have this. October of 1991 you have The Fly video. I wasn't old enough to be a fan back then, but those that were must've gotten serious whiplash!!
It truly was their best tour. U2 was full of piss and vinegar, Bono's voice was the best it would ever be, and it was before their concerts became choreographed (hey, love me some ZooTV and POP concerts). Just amazing!
Thanks so much for this....knowing in retrospect where the band were at and how they were feeling, and what was to follow, it's fantastic to travel back in time and see this show. But man....Rotterdam people suck at playing guitar!! AHhahahah!!!
It's a fascinating document. Lovetown tour seemed at the time like a greatest hits gap-filler after the huge Joshua Tree - no wonder they wanted to dream it all up again, then unleash the epic Zoo TV...
@@bryangormley229 I agree. It's kind of a fascinating tour. It's kind of like Joshua Tree 2.0 tour. I find it amazing that the average Lovetown show was SHORTER than the JT shows. Like, they had MORE material to play, but decided to play less. Also seems like they got sick of With or Without You since they don't play it as much in the Lovetown tour. But, if we had not gotten this, we would never had gotten the amazing album known as ACHTUNG BABY and the subsequent ZOO TV tour.
@@jamesdr1968 Seeing your comment brought me back to this and I've just noticed backstage Dallas Schoo (I'm assuming that's who it is!) drumming along to Desire!

I was in the public, it was so amazing!!!
One of the best U2 concerts ever along with Rotterdam 92. Dutch people are lucky!

U2 at their best!!! Just amazing. Bono's voice is so strong.
My first U2 concert… in the front row….epic!!!

I'm big fan of Zoo Tv and Popmart but for the reasons described by you is Lovetown my favorite tour of the band.
@@Feroslav1973 fantastic my friend... Greetings from Germany
@@Feroslav1973 Same feeling here. It's just so damn good.
Funny thing to think about: 7 short years after this, they released the Discotheque video! Talk about a difference!!
Three years later they had Numb!
Yes, but 30 years laters, for me, i miss something like Discotheque, and Numb....
@@egdeth at least they’re still out there!
& what were they like 7 years before this stage of their career? The greats in any field continually evolve.
