I watch these every week and always love it. It help me stay in touch with what’s happening in the comic book world and sometimes I will pick up something new because of you
Excited everyone is loving the Aliens V Avengers run!! I have the old Aliens vs DC and Predator vs DC books so this is nice to round out the collection haha
Great video, as always, Coy. I'm curious what new DC series ( like top 3 ) are you excited for? ~ Absolute Superman - Jason Aaron & Rafa Sandoval ~ Absolute Batman - Scott Snyder & Nick Dragotta ~ Absolute Wonder Woman - Kelly Thompson & Hayden Sherman ~ Absolute Flash - Jeff Lemire & Nick Robles ~ Justice League Unlimited - Mark Waid & Dan Mora ~ JSA - Jeff Lemire & Diego Olortegui ~ Black Lightning - Brandon Thomas & Fico Ossio ~ Question - Alex Segura & Cian Tormey ~ Batgirl [ Cassandra Cain ] - Tate Brombal & Takeshi Miyazawa for me, I am excited for JSA, JLU, & Question. have a great week 😀 😊
Hey Coy! Awesome video as always, I always look forward to these NCBD and news videos from you every week. My favorite book of this week was hard to choose because there were so many issues I enjoyed, but I have to give it to Ultimates #4, super creative use of panelling, and an amazing development of Reed Richards Doom's character and backstory. I am super excited to hear your thoughts on the issue!
I’m not a huge DC fan at all, but it was the character of Arthur Fleck and the themes presented in the Joker that really really hooked me in within the first 10 minutes- so, and I know this frustrates DC fans, I know that regardless of how much the character represent or are in line with the comics and television character, I’m not going to hate it. At least, I hope not to hate it because I really enjoyed the first one so much. From what I’ve seen of Harley Quinn she’s basically a female version of Joker ( through snippets of other media of course), I guess here they are just taking it a step beyond her just being equally insane and a love interest, it’s more like she idolizes him and wants to be like him in every way- complete with the same self expression.
been binge reading x-men with the challengers soundtrack on repeat; I think Luca could do the hot and messy aspects justice, also a Reznor/Ross scored x-men film would go exceptionally hard.
Something Crawled Out from Vault. That was a pretty good first issue. I got it for a buck at my comic shop. I was surprised by how much I liked that book. Very late 80’s early 90’s kinda horror movie vibe. I’m really interested to read the next issue.
Coy, what would you recommend reading before the new fantastic four movie? I have the coming of galactus collection but have not read much of it yet…any suggestions?
Would love some more horror comic suggestions for Halloween season. Been reading Something Is Killing The Children, have Rain and Lock & Key on my list and I picked up RL Stine's comic but haven't read it yet
Bit random but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Immortal Hulk run and the currently on-going Immortal Thor run. Is there a video or a post where you talked about either of those? Also, I'm catching up on the Fantastic four run and i'm in love. Absolutely love the self contained adventurous vibe. Just read through the dinosaur issues and I've had a grin on my face the whole time. And in a completly different tone, I was so surprised just how good Avengers vs Aliens ended up being, can't wait to read more.
Hey Coy, you should collab with Bobatalks via stream or something down the line. You guys are power houses when in it comes to comic movie news. A collab would be insane!!!!
Sgt. Rock isn't going to be Elseworlds like the The Batman. It'd literally be set in the DCU's past. In the photo you put up on the screen of G.I. Robot in Creature Commandos that's Sgt. Rock with his arm around G.I. Robot in a flashback scene during the war. Gunn in that interview even said metahumans fought alongside soldiers in WWII in the DCU's alternate version of history.
Coy you funky fox. I'm surprised to find that the X title I'm most connecting with is NYX, a title that wasn't even on my reading list. There's so many titles in the reboot, I really hope they don't go for quantity over quality.
Hey coy I know this is unrelated but I wanna ask do you think the wild robot will be better than httyd or on par ? Cause I think they both will be dreamworks best
Coy do you think releasing Joker a month earlier may have hurt the film since the reviews haven’t been great (some who enjoyed the first one really dislike this one)? Look sexy in the Rocky Horror Show pic Coy😜🤤🤣…also do we know when Storm solo comes out unless it already did and I mused it?
Sorry to do this but I was curious - that first review was SO much the opposite of everything I've heard about Joker 2 that I had to look up his Rotten Tomatoes page. It looks like he's given absolutely glowing reviews like that to EVERY single movie he's ever reviewed - Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is "a joyous and inspired continuation of the Ghostbusters franchise". The Fall Guy has "something for everyone". The Flash is "a love letter made by a DC fan for a DC fan. ". Cat Person has "a sharp script and strong direction, Cat Person is a bold and ambitious film that isn’t afraid to take risks". That guy even wrote glowing reviews for "Dear Evan Hanson" (29% RT), "Hillbilly Elegy "(24% RT) and "The Secret: Dare to Dream" (28% RT). Every film he's ever seen is a masterpiece. and outstanding piece of cinema or a love-letter to the franchise and fans. His job seems to be less reviewing movies and more being a guy who produces glowing pull quotes to be used even when the movie is a stinker.
Craving? I cared more about the Crow remake. If I won’t see the first Joker again it would be too soon! Todd Phillips wanted to do a rip off of “the king of comedy” but no studio bought into idea until he slapped the Joker character on it. It has nothing to do with the original comic book character and frankly derivative as hell.
@@Bar12shamrich shame you feel that way. I thought it was an excellent iteration of the Joker. Can understand it taking home Oscar’s. Very well done, acted and cinematic movie 👏🏼 👏🏼
Sgt Rock could be really cool in expanding the lore of the DCU. Maybe we see the JSA or even Wonder Woman 👀🤔
I watch these every week and always love it. It help me stay in touch with what’s happening in the comic book world and sometimes I will pick up something new because of you
Great video Coy! I'm enjoying Anansi Boys and X-men. Cool to see last week's issues of both make your top 9.
Rick Remender is just pumping out incredible comics!
Thanks Coy! Nice job!
Will be seated for Joker on opening day regardless. I loathe musicals, but hope the rest will carry me through. 🤞🏾
Stoked for it! Fingers crossed
Wizard of oz is the goat!
From 2010 I loved the American Vampire series from DC 👍🏻
Excited everyone is loving the Aliens V Avengers run!! I have the old Aliens vs DC and Predator vs DC books so this is nice to round out the collection haha
I know The Acolyte isn't loved all around.... but the Kelnacca issue is amazing. It's rare that a comic gets me emotional.
FF…Saga…Grommets…Something is Killing The Children….what a week - COYGASM!!

Work outside from 7am to 4pm. Had water, and inside air conditioning for times, but there were times where the heat was crazy.
Hey Coy, love the vids. What website or app do you use when looking at the upcoming comics of the week, what you show us on screen?
Wow Sgt Rock director need to see.

Love Aliens Vs Avengers! Enjoying F4 so much!
okay, the summary of internet quarrel is something to tune in to your channel my man! aside from the comics as well
Haha which internet quarrel element? Intrigued!

Nemesis also killed the Millarverse's previous Batman in the Big Game crossover event.
Also...."There's a Doom coming."
Hyped for Joker 2 now that the reviews are following the same arc as the first.
Seems like only yesterday you were having those water cooler conversations on Instagram!
Would love some more horror comic suggestions for Halloween season. Been reading Something Is Killing The Children, have Rain and Lock & Key on my list and I picked up RL Stine's comic but haven't read it yet
There's a new Frankenstein book that issue one came out last week
Bit random but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Immortal Hulk run and the currently on-going Immortal Thor run. Is there a video or a post where you talked about either of those?

I loved The Joker, but I don't consider it DC comic book canon. Looking forward to the new one.
Hey Coy, you should collab with Bobatalks via stream or something down the line. You guys are power houses when in it comes to comic movie news. A collab would be insane!!!!
How do you read 70 comics a week? And keep up with all the different storylines
Ultimate x-men didnt make the top 9 cut 💔 so many amazing books came out last week man i think i pulled like 9 😭😭😭

Hey Coy you should check out Terminator Zero i think youd dig it!
Really wish critics would stop ruining our enjoyment of a movie.
I really enjoy your videos. I always wanted to know if you were a fan of Moebius? Do you think he is an important artist?
Love his work! And absolutely think he was impactful and hugely influential
😎
One hundred thousound would be craaazy lol
Spoiler Alert! The last witch standing in Agatha All Along will play a major role in Secret Wars 😉
Hey coy I know this is unrelated but I wanna ask do you think the wild robot will be better than httyd or on par ? Cause I think they both will be dreamworks best
Hoping for on par which is SUCH HIGH HOPES as dragon is one of my fave trilogies of all time
*$100,000,000 debut. LOL.
I think it’ll clear that
Can the DCU just get here already 😖
Coy do you think releasing Joker a month earlier may have hurt the film since the reviews haven’t been great (some who enjoyed the first one really dislike this one)? Look sexy in the Rocky Horror Show pic Coy😜🤤🤣…also do we know when Storm solo comes out unless it already did and I mused it?
Is it being released a month earlier? I thought it was out in October just like the first movie.

Joker 2 is what audiences are craving, something different. Just as divisive as the first film. Hyped for this !!!!

Joker 2 seems super lame....should just release the ayer cut
