Holly after soaping: sips some wine Me after trying this technique: flustered, sweating, mess everywhere, doubting how it will turn out. Lol ( it turned out fine) I absolutely adore your videos and techniques and the calm with which you soap. Beautiful soap!
Stunning, what a great effort. I make pretty mean candles and that got me into playing with melt and pour soap, your video makes me want to glove up and get into trying cold process soaps.
You are one of my favorite online soapers! Music, technique, your voice….all pretty perfect! Thank you for sharing, I have learned a boat load and am having such fun and a few fails:) soaping! Practice makes perfect!
Dear Holly, its a pleasure to watch your Videos. Your Soaps are so beautifull and the combination of colors are verry noble. Especially this dancing funnel is just awesome. I'am quite new to soapmaking, made my first soap last December 2019, and I have a lot to learn ;-). Looking forward to see more of your inspiring Videos. Best wishes from the Black Forrest, Germany
That looks like some serious expensive marble!! I love watching your videos. Everythnig seems to flow so nicely and they video looks professional . Great Work as always
It came out so nice and you do make it look so easy. I did mine 4x's because of batter issues because I was trying to hand stir only which didn't work out for me to well 😊
Quel merveilleux savon !!! J'ai parcouru toutes les questions je n'ai pas trouvé le sujet qui me préoccupe 😊 quelle est la proportion de pâte noire et de pâte blanche ? Il me semble qu'il y a plus de noire ❤
Thank you so much! Both the instructor, Tatsiana, and Amy just suggested we use a very slow moving recipe. If you'd like to see the exact recipe I used, I posted it in my soap challenge blog post. Here's the link - kapiamera.wordpress.com/2016/08/13/charcoal-lavender-mint/
Thank you very much hfor your wonderful videos...I really enjoy watching them. I would like to know if the foam comes out black when using activated charcoal and how much to add.
So beautiful. I love your soaps. Do you mind telling me the ratio of charcoal to sunflower oil in your infusion. I work with charcoal so much, that I just want to premake a mix of it to make things easier.
Holly, thanks so much for this excellent demonstration of DF soap. Your soap looks yummy! I am wondering if you think this technique is too lengthy for actually making a larger amount of soap - say 4 or 5 lbs. Think SB would just get too firm? Also, I've watched a slew of DF vids and all appear to trim off a lot of soap, ending up with just a few bars. Do you think that is standard with this design? I'm trying to weigh in on whether to try a larger batch.
Thank you! My soap definitely got thicker towards the top, so I’m not sure about doing a larger batch. It might work, but the pour is so incredibly time consuming. As far as trimming, if you had time for the soap to set up longer (I had to hurry for the challenge), you could probably get away with just planing the edges instead of trimming. It really just depends on how well your pour goes and if the design looks good to the edge. Good luck if you try a larger batch! :)
Holly, a huge congratulations on winning the Dancing Funnel Challenge, you so deserve it! Your soap is amazing!
Thank you, Cindy! :)

Absolutely gorgeous... as are all of your soaps. You are a true pro. What is the recipe that Amy recommended for this? Did it have lard in it? Thanks!
Thank you so much! Both the instructor, Tatsiana, and Amy just suggested we use a very slow moving recipe. If you'd like to see the exact recipe I used, I posted it in my soap challenge blog post. Here's the link - kapiamera.wordpress.com/2016/08/13/charcoal-lavender-mint/

did you have to spritz the bars with alcohol?
So beautiful. I love your soaps. Do you mind telling me the ratio of charcoal to sunflower oil in your infusion. I work with charcoal so much, that I just want to premake a mix of it to make things easier.
Susan Pollak Thank you!! I don't mind at all. I use a ratio of 1 teaspoon of charcoal mixed into 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil.
Spectacular technique!!!!

Awesome 👏🏻 I loved ❣️❣️
Wow.....beautiful
Pretty awesome, but why don't the two liquid soaps blend together?
Because they are thick.
Parabéns excelente trabalho
Thank you! Obrigado!
