Such a beautiful soap! I have to admit my heart was crushing when you had to scoop your ombré out, it was such a nice pour, but the end result was lovely. Great job as always, Lisa. 🌸
I will be very surprised if you don't get top consideration on this one. I paint in oils and my palette and brushes definitely looks well used. 😉 You continue to amaze me with your creative imagination. Love watching! Cheers 👍🤗
That technique (fiddly though it is) makes such lovely bars of soap! You executed it beautifully! I know it was part of the Challenge and not your own plan, but I think that embeds don't contribute anything to the design - if I were making this design for myself I'd leave embeds off entirely. Nonetheless, you made yours perfectly, and I love your soap.
Thanks so much, yes I agree about the embeds, it took me a long time to come up with something that 'went' with the bars, I think the bars on their own are just fine
Hi @katelillo1932 I'm so pleased you liked it and thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment for me. I hope you have fun when you have a go
Absolutely brilliant and the colours are beautiful. Always look forward to watching your videos, you take soapmaking to another level. Please don't stop
This soap is beautiful. Well done to you. The patience it would have taken to make that ombré! And I did almost cry when you had to scoop it out. I would have loved to have seen that ombré. Brilliant work!!!
Such a beautiful and delicate colour scheme. It reminds me of the classy paper marbled end pages at the turn of the 20th century in hardback books. Always so pretty. It was a perfect soap, and tonnes of time for that cuppa! I'll be honest there were real palpertations here for the quantity of air bubbles that would form when you transferred the batter… but I should have had way more faith! These abstract soaps are perfect for those of us with smaller hands or dexterity issues. We can cut the bar in half with a clear conscious. Last week I opened a bar of Lilac Kitty I had and I can’t sepperate adult and kitten nor decapitate the pair of them 😂 Abstract soaps… no dilemma! Ps. I recognised the call back to the old days bar in your store… made me smile!
Always lovely to see you, I know what you mean about the paper. I must admit I thought there could be some bubbles, but my batter was still quite loose and I did bang it down a lot.
You are the most talented soap maker i have ever seen you are just amazing. I make soap too but i would never be in the same category as you and i dont do videos dont have the confidence lesley from ireland ❤❤❤❤
7:27pm Ohio, usa, WOW!!!!! REALLYBeautiful. I had doubts whwpen you started scooping the batter, but the end result is amazingly like an abstract watercolor. Well done Lisa!
Absolutely gorgeous!! I cringed a bit when you started scooping. Hehe, I was like all that work and you scooped it out. Looked like pudding to me. Must say though it turned out gorgeous and the little artist pallette and brushes were the perfect touch. 💕 great job Lisa
Very pretty, Lisa. I think I may try this design...maybe make it look like a mountain sunset scene with some bears and a tree walking through (MP) for me because I am not in a contest! Always beautiful and so thoughtfully thought out. (Shades of Austen!)
Your added embeds are perfect. (Well, technically that is a pallet usually used for oils and acrylics and a watercolor pallet it different, but not nearly as recognizable as this kind of pallet.) The colors worked beautifully. And now I am curious of what it would have looked like if cut in the usual manner. But I wouldn't want to change this. Great job once again.
Goodness, how pretty! Fabulous colours they you chose to work with. I was thinking, "What an odd technique!" While you were scooping it out of one mold and into the other... but wow! Absolutely gorgeous result. Love your little sculpted art set on top too. Another stunning soap! 😊
You really out did yourself with this one, I participated in this challenge too and your design is so exceptionally beautiful! I'm especially enamored with your soap dough appliques.
Lovely soap, beautyful colour choice! Have you done any watercolouring outside of soapmaking? (Yes, I am teasing you for making oil painting tools😉) This could be a very interesting tecnique to make a coloured backdrop for some embeds in a soap, something like a sunrise sky behind a silhuette of some pine trees on a hill... It would pribably have to be made 'upside down' so the sky can be glooped in, then tree embeds pushed into that and the ground poured over the top... (sorry, my inner nerd ran with this😅)
@@IDreamInSoap I don't think I will ever make more soap, I had one of the first strings of covid-19 and now my brain just turns to mush whenever there is too much scent in the air - I can't even use public transport because of perfumes etc - But, I really enjoy watching you create - your videos are my weekly seratonin boost❤️
Here from Royalty Soaps! Your channel was shouted out and I HAD to subscribe. The artistry is incredible! Fellow subs: what are the names of other artistry soap makers here on UA-cam?
As a watercolorist, I love the loose, expressive style of this soap! It's very evocative of that style of watercolor painting (which I struggle with myself). The brushes are a wonderful touch! And I won't even tease you too much for using an acrylic/oil painting palette. 😉😜🥰 Seriously, though, this is a beautiful soap that's got me tempted to place another order even though I've still got several bars left from my last one!
Thank you so much, for the flat pieces I just attach them with distilled water, for the paint brushes I squashed up a little piece of soap dough and used that to attach them
Such a beautiful soap! I have to admit my heart was crushing when you had to scoop your ombré out, it was such a nice pour, but the end result was lovely. Great job as always, Lisa. 🌸
I know exactly what you mean. I do like a good ombre
I love how you made the little palettes and brushes by hand! Such a great tie-in to the watercolour theme. I love the colours you chose as well.
