I honestly had no idea how 3D modellers make these realistic models from scratch, thank you for sharing your process as it allowed me to gain much more insight in this line of work!

@@wiegerpoutsma6469 Very useful video and an interesting way of using it with the mirrored setup. Could I ask please: Is this what you have now? (32" cintiq) or did you go for something different? , and are you using it this way mainly? (with a monitor behind mirroring the setup) Do you use the cintiq in other 3d apps? I currently use an intuos pro large for photoshop and 3d modelling and am wondering about getting a 32 as I really like large monitors. I've tried Cintiq's but never for 3d modelling. I can see they'd be good for sculpting and the like but would you still use it in a standard 3d program like Max / Maya? or is there too much arm movement? Thanks!
Hello there test.. tha k you for your reaction. Yes the setup shown in the video is still my main setup and I still think it works very well. I use the CintiqPro for all my work (so all applications). You have to think about why you would want the 32’, sinse ergonomically it is quite big. For most cases I think the 24’ will be great (the 24’ has the same quality and technical specs, just in a smaller format) and is more ergonomically friendly. If you use more then one app at the same time maybe it makes sense choosing the 32’ like i use. I like large monitors to but a Cintiq is something more then a monitor and you interact with it. So the larger your Cintiq, the larger your movents will be all day.. think about that carefully before you make your choice. i hope this answer helps you a bit and know wheter you choose the CintiqPro 32 or 24, they are both beasts in a league of their own. Just have to decide which one now! - I just made two cardboard mockups to try the two sizes on my desk :D The 32 is huge but that working area is soooo nice! The 24 much less dominating and more ergonomic, as you said...it is the "sensible" size :D Cheers!

I own the 16" pro model, but.....i want the 24". 32 would be out there for size. Don't think i'll actually benefit over the 24". The only thing thats stopping me from selling my 16 and going 24 is the ability to connect it to a laptop and sit outside.

Hi Weiger! Awesome video on the Wacom Cintiq Pro 32", I cannot wait to purchase my own in the near future. I was meaning to ask about the wacom ergo stand, it looks like you have it installed on your cintiq. What do you think about it? Does it work like a charm and feels nice to work with? Or is it too stiff and your struggling to move it around? Thanks for your time!
Hello Egoding032, the CintiqPro32 i had at the studio was delivered WITH the 32” ergostand. They were both still prototypes at that stage but worked like a charm. I,ve had the pleasure to work with a production CintiqPro24 on the ergostand last week for a week and i loved the way the ergostand functioned. It is stirdy, i like that so it is solid when working on it. Adjusting the attitude takes a little strength but it delivers a rock solid working platform. Rotating the screen however takes only one finger and has a solid 0 and 90 degree click.

Hello James, Thank you for your reaction. I am using a combination of applications, Autodesk Maya, Pixologics Z-Brush, Octane Render, Arnold Render and Next Limit's Realflow.

Hi Wieger, can you tell us anything about the fan noise on different brightness levels (40% - 100%)?. This is the only thing holding me back to order the Cintiq pro 32. I have a completely silent desktop environment and I really like to keep it that way.
Hello Michel, The Cintiq Pro i tested was completely silent when used attached to a desktop system. There is however an option to use the Cintiq Pro as a stand alone unit attaching the Wacom Engine making it more like large Mobile Studio Pro. I did not test that but can imagine that in a setting like that te system will make noise to some extend. As far as the brightness goes.. I also have the 27QHD, it's predecessor, at my studio and i found the new screen way better. Much more uniform, easy to calibrate, and a much better contrast ratio overall. For the exact specs i would refer you to the Wacom website where they can tell you the exact specs. For me the conclusion was that I am getting on for my studio to replace the 27QHD i have been using so far. if you have the feeling the 32 inch is to big for your needs the 24 is amazing too!!!!

Thanks for the reply.
I wasn’t implying on the display quality using the different brightness levels. The question was purely aimed at the fan noise. There are lots of report of the 24 Pro (without the optional computer) that the fan noise even is louder than desktop fans at brightness level 100%. To be honest, I don’t understand why Wacom implements a fan at all. Wacom digitizers don’t need a fan, and my large 4K screen over here doesn’t get warm also. (Also my old Cintiq does not have a fan)
Anyhow, could you tell me if the fan noise is audible at a display brightness of 100%?
Hello @@MichelSatoer something went wrong with the reply so you might het it in twice. I did not notice any noice from the fan when i worked on it. I do not know why it would need a fan but it would make sense that if you have a thin digitizer layer on top of a screen it would work as an insulator and the screen can not get rid of any access heat. That is me guessing.. I do knot know the details but i'm sure Wacom had a good reason to put it in. If you are still not sure you can always contact your local Wacom dealer. i'm sure they will help you organize a test drive on it so you can see and hear for your self. good luck with your discussion.

T T - hmmmm.. that is a good question. Lets first day that then both the 24” and the 32” are amazing tablets. I’ve tried both extensively and liked them both equally. The big difference is the size and pricing ofcoarse. The feel is the same. Do you have more then one app open in uour pipeline then then 32” gives you more desktop space. The 24 inch is a little bit more ergonomically efficient. There is a big price difference so if you do not need the 32” desktop space or have a cramped office space the 24” will be your ideal choice.
@@wiegerpoutsma6469 There are times when I would want to use the Cintiq like normal Intuos pro i.e. look at the monitor in front of me directly. Is the experience similar to normal Intuos pro if the Cintiq 24" is lying flat on the table and I use it as normal Intuos?
T T - hey TT, for me it feels similar with the only difference that the Intuos would be flat on my table and the CintiqPro is in an angle. But that works fine for me. Greetz, W.

T T - notmally my first choice would have been an Eizo monitor but wanted to test the Apple LG 5K monitor. And I must say other then the ghosting you get when menu’s are left long in one place on the screen I am impressed.
