One of the coolest things about a Docs show is that the whole audience sings the instrumental melodies. every time he gets to the line about Claregalway and the lump in the throat it hits me. Man o man I've been here 6 years now and I know that road blind. Great band.
We do alright. We need to come back to our senses on abortion though. We must protect the innocent and helpless from the onslaught of sexual license and remain the standard bearers of that ethos.
@@MaximusWolfe now now, what about all those institutions which bore no thoughts to being the bearer of ethos towards women and children, for some their final resting place a disused sewer
Made the hairs stand on the back of my neck. Saw them many many years ago at the Trip to Tipp concert in Tipperary. Randomly they had giants on stage, one in a nappy and maroon and white smoke coming from the back of two Vespas. They were the best band there by a mile. I still check in from time to time and they always put a smile on my face.
I've seen the Saw Doctors 3 times in Manchester and if they ever come back I'll be going to see them again. Great band and I love this song. Even had a pint with the lads in the band in the pub next to the Manchester Apollo before the gig, great guys really friendly, but aren't most Irish people?
2024 Sitting on a bus in Northumberland crying like an eejit. Massive progress though... couldn't listen to this at all when I first left home. In 1993
Ness, dont live in America then. I went to Westport last year. What a place. If I came from there I would never leave. America!!!! Really? over Ireland? never
The SDs are real people singing about real things not that country and irish muck which is neither one thing or the other and jiving to it for feck sake
Wish I was within 100 miles of N17, missing everything Irish, can't wait to be able to go back home
Did you ever get back here ?
Always loved this song and I've just found out my mum was 50% Scots 50 % Irish and was a scouser love you mum, miss you every day ❤
Been a roadie for 25 years....and this is the only band I have bought tickets for and went to see....3 times....on me own...
One of the greatest Irish bands ever.

This is what a real Irish concert is like! Everyone just leapin' around and enjoying themselves; and the band was good as well!
Still relevant in 2020!

@@MaximusWolfe too true whatever happened to the land of saints and scholars?

They brought the house down when I saw them live in New York back in the day. Proud of Galway.

I've seen some of the biggest bands in the and none of them come close to the doctors on full flow for atmosphere and sheer craic 🙏
Just got tickets for the Brixton gig and haven't stopped grinning. Cannot wait. Blues Brothers moment indeed!
