    After watching so many hair videos I stumbled across yours. You made everything so less complicated. I can't thank you enough! I am now a steady fan. I actually told my hair stylist about you, who owns 3 salons, and he even heard about you from someone else. Please don't change the way you teach. Thank you. Alana

    You are so easy to understand! So many hair educators speak in such a technical way trying to sound smart that it makes it hard to understand what they mean. You have helped me so much!

    I've been doing this for some time now and thought I was maybe cheating or being lazy lol its almost validating for me to watch you do this. With longer hair you don't need all those tiny sections. Thank you for this video, I loved it ❤

      I do too!! Ever since I finished my training where I am from, I prefered to get the length out of the way and focus on the fine details.
      Doesn't cost me any more time than my colleagues who have different haircut styles, but it always felt more right to me haha.
      Saw this teq at some Aussie UA-camr on a full haircut tutorial they did and I was like, yeah I'm going to do it like that haha

    I am not a professional at all but it's so satisfying cutting my own hair. Professionals like you who share their knowledge on UA-cam proves how important sharing is important, and it does not make less clients. I will never be a professional but it helps me a lot. Turns out as accurate as yours 10 minute hair cut. I have watched this video

    You already had your short hair pieces in the front ,were those short hair pieces were
    Your guideline or you made a new guideline. I would appreciate it if you explain to me about the guideline.

It would be helpful to learn which scissors and combs or any other tools are useful for a beginner and also for different hair types. Mum and I have a lot of very fine hair. Mum's takes ages to cut because she has lots of wavy springy hair below the ear lobe. I would love to cut it in the style of the curly dark haired main girl in the Wham video Last Christmas sort of relaxed Pixie or very short Bob?? this gives the same effect as extreme concave layering/ SLIDE cut layering.
    the problem i am getting with this :
    it gives very "airy/ fluffy" layers as if i layered the hair with a razor and it leaves the ends look thin and wispy which i can't really understand why , so using this technique forces me to cut the perimiter in the end of the layering, to avoid those wispy thin ends.
    i think 90 degrees layering leaves the ends fuller and gives more balanced bit havier shape.
    do you tend to use this technique alot in the salon?
    or you prefer the 90 degrees with traveling guide on long hair?
    thank you :)

    • @TheLifeOfHair
      @TheLifeOfHair  4 роки тому +1

      Great question yes I do use this technique a lot in the salon it’s one of my preferred methods in terms of long hair but I do do a variation on that as well where are use concave and over direct I know what you mean by creating a slightly fluffier texture towards the end I do tend to cut my layers in and then my length afterwards to avoid this
