      If it's stainless steel, using a #0000 steel wool, and vinegar makes very quick work of removing all the junk from the surface. I did both my tail pipes in maybe 15 minutes

    Actually surprised that a wool/microfiber pad and car paint compound would be this effective! I always thought there were more abrasives in metal polishes. Can't wait to try this out, polishing exhaust is often really time consuming, and with how I use my vehicles, the results never last for too long! Amazing video! :D

    Good gosh Sandro. That is an A-M-A-Z-i-N-G transformation. I wouldn't have thought that muffler would have been able to polish to a brilliance like that from what it looked like. In fact, the metal in it's original condition looked like an opaque type of metal that couldn't even be polished in the first place so I would have never even tried. Unreal. Now I know I can tackle the exhaust system on my 370z and hopefully bring it to a brilliance like you have done here. And it should be even easier because mine doesn't look anywhere near this bad. In fact, the metal underneath the car is in fairly "new' looking condition so it should be a breeze to bring out the shine. Really good video buddy. I learned something new today and that's always a good thing adding to my skills.

    Yep, dont mind me, back again. Tonnes of other search results were returned for my "polish stainless steel" with me making no specifics about an exhaust, but yours came up near the top so ofc I'm clicking it first! I picked up the final front two parts for something today and need to apply my OCD to it, so in about 5mins time that'll be my next detailing mystery permanently resolved by a method I can actually do and I'm sure!
    [After edit] I was correct! I was going to blob some autosol onto a 2" pad and see what happened but now I've got a huge bottle of 400 compound left over and a well explained as to why it will fuflill my personal needs, I'm def going to try using that! Thx, Sandro. Another top video.

    Fantastic result in almost no time at all. I never would have guessed you could use paint cutting compunds. I will really have to try this on some metal work.
    As I live in a country with harsh winters I guess you would compromise the rust prevention of the metal this way. Unless it is a stainless steel system.

    YTep sandro your the best mate, i dont know if you are have herd the trucking industry has a product which you use as a snow foam and use a pressure washer and spray it all over stainless steel / Aluminium large transporters and then rinse off and the tanker or container is clean and looked like it was just polish, its used to come in a purple bottle and i think a lot of trucking supply companies would have it, but also you would need to get your car up high enough to spray it on wiat and then rinse it off perfect to get dirty under carriages, might need to do a couple of applications, but well worth it, maybe Sandro you may want to look into it, as its would be a massive time saver and you would gain more clients to do the undercarriage of their cars. :) Keep up the great work Sandro, your channel is the benchmark and perfect example of a car detailing and products review channel. :)

      I stopped watching after I saw their coating application video.. They over applied it just atrociously thick, then let it flash for literally what looked like hours and then proceeded to forcefully scrub and scour all that sticky mess off with just two towels in a death grip and a metal warping amount of down pressure.. • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  Рік тому

      Most exhausts won’t have a top coating protective rust layer you can remove, it’s generally the same metal throughout - mostly a certain grade of stainless though it can be a higher or lower grade that’s more or less prone to rusting - though the outer layer can be machined.
      If by chance it is plated, generally a polishing process like this one won’t be aggressive enough to remove that plating, you’d have to go harder and more aggressively to remove a metal plating.
