I’ve got a 2014 s3 in Java Green, had it a year now 👌🏻 chrome keeps its classy 👍 looks nice my only complaint is the gloss black around the console .. reminds me of the ps3 and scratches (I could be wrong)! Everything was extra years ago, DSG was extra in mine (£2000) , I have pan roof, comfort pack/ heated seats, folding mirrors, through load rear seat and cup holders, xenon bending W/ turning lights. Doesn’t really look like an Audi inside without the ring vents! But looks nice! Enjoy 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Nice, congratulations. Your recent Audi journey and mine are so similar, yet so different. You buy an RS4 and have a nightmare, I buy an A6 V8 and have a nightmare - off the road for over a year now, longer than I had it on the road for. You buy a brand new S3, I buy a 2007 A4tfsi, instantly really like it and on day 2, the fan belt snapped on the M25. The guy I bought it from privately (at least, I don’t think anyone was looking) has been an absolute gentleman, dropping everything to get the parts, even buying a service kit. Nice purchase, Dean, enjoy your motor.

Excellent real life first impressions vid on your S3. Be nice to have an update giving running costs too. You know your going to wrap that Crome on the front grill and maybe a few other mods??? Gotta be a video in that Dean 👍

I went and looked at and s3 and m135i sine by side well 20min in between and the s3 much nicer in side I think the bmw has nicer carpet and some better quality materials but the s3 win for interiors all day long
I love keyless autos, park up, press engine stop and park self selects and handbrake too. The noise when you pressed park sounded like the handbrake activating.
Crazy to think how local you are to me. I look forward to seeing a fellow S3 on the road! Lovely colour choice mate. If you ever want to do a side by side comparison with a stock 8P S3 I'm only a stones throw away :)
You can turn off the Sound Actuator in VCDS well actually you turn down the volume and feedback imposed from it. Its under IIRC Module A9 Structural Borne Sound go into adaptation and set to 0% that will effectively turn it off without turning it off. Would be interesting to hear an in cabin comparison Great vid and great choice in colour keep em coming!
Really pleased you like your new car. Having got the 8V version, there are a lot of things I couldn't live with, not being able to change many of the settings without taking eyes off the road is a big thing for me, touch screens are vogue, I prefer tensile buttons or dials which don't need searching for. The lighting controls look terrible on the rhs of the dash, noncentral and surrounded by the black plastic. I agree regarding the plastic around the centre armrest and drive select, the controls look small for the area they occupy. Externally I like the subtle changes, could be a tad more aggressive, wheels look superb, matrix lights amazing. I have the B&O, but was more impressed with the standard setup in my 2016 A6 soundwise. Thanks for the video - you'll always get old farts like me who will moan, but importantly you love the car and my comments should just be water off a duck's back. Thanks as always for the great content and keep up the good work.
Stunning car Dean, had a similar issue with VW not supplying the iOS usb lead but picked a genuine VW one up on eBay (from a main agent), it’s worked fine for months now with no issues.
@@SavingSalvage mine was pre covid, picked my Tiguan R line up new in September 19 and was told they no longer supply them. I did use a genuine Apple lead for a couple of weeks and didn’t have any issues, the VAG one is shorter though so less messy.
Stunning motor mate, congrats! I have a 2018 S5 and love Audi but still find it unbelievable that in 2020 front sensors aren’t standard?... the other 2 German brand offer cameras as standard in most packages! Still every thing is an extra at Audi 😁

Cambridge Audi, that was one of my 1st Deliveries for who I work for, and we had to back into there which was fun not lol 😆 😀 😄.... now they have that place its better...Enjoy that new motor, wish I could get a RS6 Avant... One Day maybe.

When you mention the folding door mirrors, my A3 Sportback Sport comes with those as standard too, but that was on the previous iteration, so have Audi been stingy with some of their specs on the new model? I know what you mean about the packaged options too, as it winds me up being told what I can choose or not..!! I always thought that options were for the customer to choose (to opt for what THEY wanted from the manufacturer), but so many manufacturers these days force you to take what they want to flog you instead. Anyway, I agree with your gripe about the interior trim and I heard the dashboard isn't as solid as it used to be, but time will tell and I hope you get much enjoyment from the car.
It doesnt look like a drastic design change to the old one , but thats a good thing because vag nailed the design of the last gen a3 golf leon great looking cars i do think the a3 is the best of the current offerings

We’re keeping our 18 plate s3 after looking at the new one, seems better quality inside + sounds so much better too.
