- We got our hands on the brand new Audi S3 and we compared it to our tuned Golf 8 GTI. Is the all wheel drive worth the extra money or does the GTI the better job for less money? Find out in this video.

+1. .. Subscribed. On the fence about ordering either the 2022 Audi S3 or RS3.. Here in the US, only the sedan body w/ a dual-clutch is offered in the A3, S3, and RS3. .. That said, we're splitting the difference between an S3 and RS3 for the money. . Daily driver cars we buy new and drive/keep for 10 years or so. . Our sports cars are the '98 Carrera S (993) and Ingrid's is the '15 Cayman GTS.. Our top 3 contenders are; '22 S3, RS3, and A6 Allroad 3.0l w/7sp DSG. . There are fond memories of our '96 UrS6 Kombi w/6sp ... Cheers, Vail, Colorado elevation 8,200ft .. (gotta go turbo)
Have you worked on the new golf R as I would say it would be faster than this stock and would like to see what increases are possible with RaceChip
Does the Audi 2021 S3 chip tuning removes the automatic gear change (caused by the gearbox despite being in manual mode ...) when hitting the rev limiter?
The S3 seems pretty strong at 372hp! Can't wait to see the Golf R. I bet it's going to do a mid to high 10 seconds👍 which will shock many cars.

What’s the Tuned 0-60 performance meter time ?
Have you guys managed to crack the ECU ? Or is it tuned with piggy back ? 40hp is nothing compared to what this car is stands to gain from a true tune.
What is the name of ecu on S3 8y?’
does it remove the speed limiter?

How much does such tune cost and will it lower its km/liter? Id like to buy one next year. :-)
With more power you are always gonna lose fuel economy because you will have to put more fuel into the air fuel mixture
Just ordered a GTS Black for my Cupra Formentor 310,was wondering how much power your development Formentor had as it seems to be the same engine as the S3.
hi, I also ordered and I am waiting for RaceChip for Formentor 310, do you like the perfomance? Are you always in map nr. 7 or in 4 (Sport mode)? Maybe the throttle response is better?
@@linasvitkus1181 Hi,I always run it in map 7 as anything less doesn't feel like a massive difference,I only turn it down if I'm on a road trip or something and can only get 95ron petrol,map 7 feels great by the way,loads of power and great reaponse,I also have a pipercross air filter so don't know if that helps aswell.
Even in comfort mode you really feel like you have more low down torque,pulls much better from 2000 rpm.
My fuel consumption has also improved when driving normally.
are you loosing car guarantee after applying those chips ?
Of course you are. As soon as you change parts or tamper with ECU then Audi will simply say “not covered under warranty as altered from factory stock spec”.
I’ve heard even if you ‘undo’ a tune that Audi can still see this in the log files - not sure how true that is tho?

Am I getting it right..339hp stock? as in, wheel hp? or is it converted to crank after the fact? I do feel like my new S3 is a LOT stronger than my current car which dyno'd at 299whp

339HP stock (crank HP). We measrued several cars with the same engine platform (Golf 8R, S3, etc.) all of them are over the official figures

Can it be fit on S3 Canadian modèle as well?

Why is there such a big difference between golf 8 r and the new s3? Mechanically they are the same car, except the golf has a rear diff, but its much much faster in performance. 0-100 for golf r is 4.0 while s3 is 4.5. the biggest diffeeence is software, thus a simple tune should get the s3 to golf r performance.
golf r has done 3.95 0-100.. and 12.2 1/4 mile, INSANE stuff. Also the difference all lies in the software and ability to make boost on a launch + the gearing is much better on the golf r..
@@TasimanaOG the golf is crazy fast. I think the 3.95 you are referring to was from carwow? If that's the case it was a 0-60mph with roll on. If you watch AutomanTv he explains the difference with the 0-60mph/100km/h runs on the racebox and how the results differ
@@I_am_Monty true but still, on a prepped surface this thing will do 0-100 (62mph) in 3.8 easily (on a drag strip) and a 12.1 1/4 mile..
