Great video! You focus primarily on the forehand side in the video. Would all of this still apply if the kill is on your backhand side, or are there some slight changes? My backhand kills are often not as accurate as my forehand kills!

extremely useful instructional packed with details. the tendency for front players to go back to center court (while not always wrong) comes from singles training. many instincts players have in singles are wrong for doubles and need to be reprogrammed, which is why some amazing singles players dont play doubles so well. i especially like the point that you are not only covering the tramline reply but at the same time your positioning communicates with your partner that he will handle cross. if you dont understand this lesson and want to play doubles, watch it until you get it, and pay careful attention to placement of the dominant foot, and note, as dean pointed out, this is a racket-high&ready move
i would add one thing here that was shown but not discussed, and that is that the footwork here is low and smooth and in continuous contact with the floor like @3:52. there is very little time to reply in this situation, so any jumping or choppiness of footwork can take you out of the moment

Yes good point about the footwork, we could have mentioned this is off a flat first shot, if the first shot is in a downwards direction you could maybe come up more with the legs due as the return we be on an upward trajectory.
Thanks as always for taking the time to comment, we really appreciate it. 👍

Anytime you add something to a racket to will slightly change the weight. Personally I’d prefer to see the colour of the frame with a few scratches than hide the colour of the frame under tape.
However it does come down to personal preference.
How do you find the racket? A very popular one at the minute.
