I almost forgot to mention the lovely patch of wild purple irises blooming on the banks of Birch Lake at sunset. (9:59) Also didn't realize it's an 11-hour drive from Fairbanks to Alaska. Thanks again. Iris was at one time the word for rainbow...a sign of God's promise.
