Perfect video to start the year! I enjoyed the flights, but also the lounges, shower rooms, city tours, hotels, trams and restaurants. I feel like I traveled there with you. It's the first time I've seen 6'4" in long trousers.🤣I love the DoubleTree cookies, the drink sounds amazing. Missing the bus by minutes is such a big part of public transport, it's good you show that side of it, yet you never complain. I see you still had your MG to take your Bangkok friend to the airport when recording this. It is definitely convenient for that.
hahha interesting comment about long trousers🤣😂 he does wear shorts a lot. That Doubletree espresso martini was the BEST I’ve ever had. Better than the Atlas Bar in Singapore haha. That was about 2 weeks before I sold my car haha. Thanks Gary!

Great video, Jayden! That was a nice comparison of the Dash 8 and 737. I love the old turboprops. Even though they are noisy, I found the hum of the prop planes to be soothing. You don't see them in the US much anymore unfortunately. Thanks for the great vlogs too! The hotels you stayed in were great. Looks like you all had a lot of fun with your housemates at the birthday celebration. I did get a little nervous at the end with Lily looking like she wanted to pounce your food in the oven.

One of my most favorite planes in the world is the Dash 8-400 and Alaska/Horizon phased them out last year at this time. If I want to fly one now it is Air Canada or WestJet. I miss them, thanks for the video.

Looks like you are on an older 738 plane. The good news was that there was wifi on the aircraft. However they do not have the charging ports for the aircraft. Not all QF 738s have the charging ports.
A few years ago I flew the QF B738 from Perth to Sydney and had charging ports as well as the tv screens. However as I plugged my phone in the usb port, I didn’t have the music being played.

17:16, 18:48 and 19:07, I was there last May with my family and it's nice, awesome and cold at night.
Dash 8 ... No TV. Okay. No Wifi. Okay. No coat hook. NOOOOOO! 😵 ... 😸 Seriously though I prefer the Dash 8 because I love watching the landing gear going up after takeoff. And I love your new haircut. But maybe I'm biased because I have the same haircut. 😁 And I just noticed Six Foot Four has very very nice hair. I totally enjoyed watching the Melbourne vlog. It was nice to see Six Foot Four. I also enjoyed the Adelaide vlog. It was nice to see Lily. 😊 Lily is so cute I literally said awwww out loud.

Did you fly on Jan 2, because that Melbourne weather was disgusting and our VA flight from Darwin got cancelled because of the weather so did the flight north too. Anyway good work buddy

Flown Dash 8 from Amsterdam to Exeter UK with Flybe, which is no longer in business. I was apprehensive about flying in such an aircraft, but it was very good,
I remember that airline, I've seen it at Heathrow, so funny to see that an the A380 literally anywhere else at Heathrow haha

Well done Trip to open 2024 Jayden and speaking of the Q400/Q300 QF Oneworld partner QX/AS retired theirs last year. In the future QF needs new turbo prop to replace their Ageing Q300s

Yeah... Gotta spend like 10k euros just to complete the status for oneworld (emerald).. is there any way to make it easier and cheap
I spend about 3k EUR a year to get sapphire (including many cheap economy fares that earned me nothing). Mum spends about 5k to get emerald but you can get it as low as 3.5k! It’s about to pick the right airline to earn pts with based on your travel pattern (long haul vs short haul, basic vs flex fare, economy or premium cabins etc.)
