When I see the crews and ground support bow to the passengers arriving and departing, it reminds me of just how special Japan and ANA are. Thank you for your hard work!
I have lived in Fukuoka for 20 years, but I never really thought too much about what NH stood for... I appreciate that bit of trivia.....Nippon Helicopters....Thank you
This is one of the most detailed economy class reviews I have ever watched! Amazing job David as always! Also noticed the kindness of Japanese Airline crews. I remember JAL giving you a similar card and gift in one of your previous videos 😊
I flew on domestic flights in Japan in the late 1980s. It was staggering that they served a meal on a 747 on a flight that couldn’t have been more than two hours. The efficiency is beyond compare. Japan remains perhaps my favorite country to visit. I love everything about it, with the exception of the summer heat. If anyone could invent a way to air condition an entire country outdoors, the Japanese would be the first to figure it out! I’ve seen blocks of ice at subway stations where people would briefly put their heads to cool off! I ❤ Japan! It always feels like I’m stepping back in time when I come back to the US. We are SO far behind with transportation especially.
This completely changed my perception to your channel 🤯 Watched your videos 2year ago I thought u never speaks, but when u do all info and funny notes are so well presented!
What an excellent episode/flight. What a lovely crew to think of you like that, very considerate and touching. I love the Japanese, they are wonderful people. Don’t worry about this one being a short trip; sometimes less is more. A big 👍🏻 from me. Safe travels.✈️🛫🛬🛩️
These brutally honest videos keep getting better and better. Awesome job on the narration and all the cool facts. Also great work on the consistent upload schedule.
8:55 I knew Japanese airlines were good, but this right here is a whole new level of consideration for the passenger I almost can't believe is real. This should not be limited to ANA and JAL. This should be law and mandatory for every airline in the world
I wasn't sold when you were trying to say they were amazing because they have tray tables, air vents, and infant changing tables haha.... but then when you got that note & gifts! Wow. That was awesome.
I only flew one domestic flight last time I was in Japan in 2010. It was on a 737 but they had seatback screens with modest IFE on our way from NRT to Fukuoka. I didn't pay too much attention that or the service or even the sunset, however, since I passed out after my first leg from IAD. The name on the ground reminds me of the prankster who put up a sign saying WELCOME TO LUTON on the approach to London Gatwick.
I think you flew in handfull of JAL's international layout 737. Normally those flights were designated to short-haul flights but sometimes they flew domestic routes for rotation.
I took a flight from Fukuoka to Chitose (Sapporo) before. They served Hotate soup on the flight (you can choose coffee, tea, or Hotate soup)! That was an amazing experience, and you cannot encounter that level of care elsewhere in the world.
Flying domestic in Japan is a joy, compared to other countries. Very efficient ground crew, security, excellent customer service. For domestic ANA flights and JAL flights, my ANA credit card has a built in function where I can just scan the IC function on my ANA credit card through security and and boarding, no additional steps required (similar to just scanning your IC card at a train ticket gate).
Normally, the CA will announce the pre-departure and pre-arrival in English if there are foreigners flying. Also, the last time I was in ITM it was in 1993 it was both International/ Domestic. SFO ITM on UAL
I really love this flight report sm. And also love all the details you put in this video. ‘The best clip ever’ can not describe my feeling towards this clip !!!!
Thank you so much for making this video! I have experienced the Premium Economy Class on their 500 seats Boeing 777-300 it was amazing! The flight attendents are nice :) And i have also been to Fukuoka just 3 months ago too.
Ahh dang it, that's why I love japan so much, I just got back from japan as well(6/11. Anyways I truly enjoyed it! That card is so dope and you can't help but leave with a huge smile on your face for sure! It's omotenashii David. It's that commitment to excellence. Omotenashii. I was discussing this with friends actually this past trip. My Japanese friends ask my why do I come back so much? And it's that level of attention. The baby indicator is awesome as well! Thank you for this content! Can't wait to go back in august!😂😂
yes, I really dug the extra insightfulness! ofc I understand that you can't narrate every video, but I hope you do more vids like this when you feel like it
Japan's really one of, if not the, most amazing countries in the world. Really hope to go back there, it's like another planet compared to the rest of this one
Japan was the only country to operate the densest 747s the 747SR alongside the 400D n Itami used to be both Domestic n International before the creation of Kansai
Gym at 6:08 is Anytime fitness in Fukuoka Airport branch. Anyone can available if you have a key of Anytime fitness. You work out there with amazing runway view✈️
Ich finde deine Videos in denen du sprichst viel besser als die mit nur Untertitel, klar das du das nicht bei jedem deiner Videos machen kannst aber bei den für uns interessanteren würde ich mir das wünschen.
Honestly, this trip report was very cool. I’ve never seen domestic service in Japan before. I really enjoyed all the facts and information about how the system works there, not to mention the crew! What amazing people. Japan is on my list of places to explore, and now I think I’ll be flying and taking the bullet train while I’m there.
This morning I decided to watch one of their silent videos from years ago. I just couldn’t watch it! These videos are a lot more entertaining but it’s a shame most of the videos I want to watch are all old ones
Someone please give Japanese a Nobel award for the baby seat indicator.... I would thank them infinite times for this life saving feature. Having a baby nearby is a worst nightmare for any air traveler.
As a Canadian living in Japan for many years, your knowledge of some vary obsecure and little known facts about Japan is very nice to hear. Also, your pronoucation of various Japanese words is very good. Awesome video.
My most memorable flight was ANA Business Class from the States to Tokyo. Pure bliss. The Japanese standard for excellence is second to none. Love ANA!
I flew ANA's Q-400 a few years ago from Itami to Akita. Being 6'2", I really appreciated the spacious legroom! Also, if you're ever in Itami again, I highly recommend going to the Itami Sky Park, located right next to Runway 32L. The views of the planes taking off are spectacular!
@@schalitz1 What’s wrong about killing them to eat? It’s not like they are being killed for fun or for skin to be used for fashion as the west has been doing for hundreds of years.
Yes, this is true. I'm an American who has been living in Japan for almost 20 years. There is so much civility in this country. Yes, there are some instances of rude behavior. I see it on trains (especially on bullet trains). Sometimes I have to travel between Osaka and Tokyo and I'm fine with either form of transportation. People here are definitely civilized. I don't know what I left the last time I was in the US (just recently). The service kind of deteriorated at restaurants and the servers still expected their now 20% tip, unlike in Japan, where tipping is not the custom but still with great service.
I love the videos with narration! And it warms my heart to see when airlines see how excited passangers are and offer to give keepsakes and notes. Excellent video!
What a beautiful country with wonderful people. That personalized card was amazing! So thoughtful and kind of the crew. Japan looks like a fantastic place to visit, with nice people.

I cannot wait to return this August, where fingers crossed, I will be flying that 514-seat 777-300 from Tokyo to Fukuoka! Sounds crazy, but I can't wait to be in amongst a literal sea of people on a plane!

OMG that handwritten note was so friggin adorable
edit: that alone would make it the best airline out there
I am a ground support working at Osaka International Airport. Thank you so much for flying with ANA and taking this wonderful video.
Thank you to all the "invisible" ground staff, working in baggage transport, ramp handling, cleaning, fueling, security!! Without you, no flights!!
